I made two mistakes in buying this product. I did not think it would matter that it had no flavoring for one. I did not read the one-star reviews as I usually do before buying on bestproteinpowder4women.net. If I had read them, I would have seen 7 of 10 of them were because the product tastes awful. I totally agree with that one. I tried to cover the awful taste with cinnamon or apple pie spice to no avail. It was just too strong. I threw away one of the jugs giving up on making it taste good.

Then I wrote a one-star review to warn others. Well, the company read it and contacted me asking if I wanted a refund or other products they carry instead. A company with integrity! How refreshing. Bottom line I decided to change my review to a 3-star review to let you know the taste is a big downside with the product and to let you know at least they wanted to make amends in the matter with me showing a good sense of integrity.

I would say if you buy this product be sure what you put it in can cover the taste of the product!

This hydrolyzed pea protein is NOT organic, even though it’s listed on bestproteinpowder4women.net as organic and the label (as shown on bestproteinpowder4women.net) says organic. The ingredients on my 1190gm bottle of HydroPea are listed as “Pure Organic Pea Protein” which, if the product is made in the USA as stated on the list of ingredients, is a major violation of USDA requirements. If made in Canada, it is illegal under COS to call something organic without the COS logo. Needless to say, there is no Canadian COS nor USDA organic certification on this Zammex Hydro Pea product. Caveat emptor, people.

This stuff is great! I’ve been a health conscious fit vegan who exercises at least 3X a week for 5 years and I’ve been through all the different vegan protein powders. Some taste great and have a high protein count but also contain heavy metals. Some are fancy and organic whole food based but super expensive. I had settled on another brand of unflavored organic pea protein because of its low cost and high purity but it tasted horrible. This stuff is cheaper than most powders, has a high protein count, is all organic, blends great and tastes okay! It’s not the yummiest thing I’ve ever tried – as it’s unflavored pea protein – but it blends into whatever it’s in without ruining it. If you’re in a hurry and you do need to just blend it with just water or plant milk it is still drinkable. If you’re mixing it w/plant milk just throw some cinnamon and a banana and maybe some berries or spinach in there and you’re good to go! A win win all around. This is my new go to vegan protein.

If you are looking for a clean, affordable vegan protein powder, buy this product. I’ve been using it for a while, and it definitely is a great value and great product. It has no artificial ingredients, sweeteners, coloring, or other ingredients, just 100% pure yellow peas sourced from Canada. There are other pure pea proteins that you could buy, but there really is a difference between this one and others because it is Hyperhyrdrolyzed, which basically means it is much smoother and less grainy than other pea proteins. For those of you who have tried other pea proteins or vegan proteins, you might remember the inconsistent consistency that is pretty normal in them. In this one, though, you get a lovely smooth texture! Really, this is a great source of protein for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone who wants to use a simple, pure, and clean protein powder! If you buy it, just know that the taste is pure pea protein, which means you’re probably going to want to blend it together with something that tastes a bit better. You can drink this on its own if you want, but it’s much better when blended with something like bananas and peanut butter.

I started to recently take HydroPea protein from Zammex after my workout. I like how it almost doesn’t have any smell and I can’t notice it at all in my smoothies. It also dissolves quickly thanks to its smooth texture. The package is big and will last me for a while. HydroPea is vegan and great for people who are looking for non animal based protein. I am also going to add HydroPea protein to my pancake mix.

The quality of this protein overall is great! Similar to a lot of pea proteins, the texture is a bit chalky and thick. It is unflavored so I enjoyed mixing it in a blender bottle with almond milk first and then putting it in pancakes or oats. Decided to finally give vegan protein a try after years of using whey products. Was impressed with the macronutrient breakdown of this product (just two scoops= 27g protein I believe), and not only that, the scoops are small, making it easy to mix with various things. There is a very specific taste to the protein that I can only attribute it to being plant based. However if you’re used to vegan proteins already, this is probably pretty standard I’m sure. If you’re looking for a solid vegan/plant based protein, definitely give this one a shot

I’ve tried this four different ways..cannot get past the awful pea flavor. Not my first rodeo with pea proteins, but this proves they’re not all created equal. I purchased because of researching about less graininess, but cannot stomach the flavor…like a mouthful of raw shucked peas. Company info is not easy to find..searching to see if they’ll stand behind their product or offer a replacement trial of a different product or refund. ****well, sent an email to their customer service department over a week ago now, and have heard no response…..very disappointed! Was really hoping they’d stand behind their claim of customer satisfaction.
