I had been searching for a protein powder that I could tolerate and finally found one in this product. I love this pumpkin seed protein powder because its light, nutty flavor doesn’t taste strong in my cereal or eventually irritate my stomach like many other vegetable protein powders do (pea, rice). It’s very low in fat, so that leaves room for other ingredients in your food to contain some without the final product being overwhelmingly fatty (as with plain nut or seed powders). It’s also easy to digest and doesn’t feel heavy in the stomach. After trying one lb, I immediately jumped on a special sale for the 5 lb size. Great pricing from Z Natural.

The taste of roasted pumpkin seeds has a pleasant flavor that works with both sweet and savory recipes.
From personal experience, I have the impression that this protein powder’s amino acid profile is not balanced. Consuming too much of this protein inflicted a malaise and a craving for other protein-rich foods; having what I craved resolved the malaise. In hindsight, I should not have expected a balanced amino acid profile from plant-based protein.
No idea how they made it have zero net carbs when pumpkin seeds have two grams of net carbs per serving. Considering how they called it a “complete protein profile” I am not inclined to take its Nutrition Facts label at face value. However, the seller scores honesty points for not hiding the California Prop65 warning on the product images.

Terrible flavor, don’t do it!! There’s a reason it’s half the price of most pumpkin seed powders. It’s a nasty taste and a disgusting brown color, most are green. 0 stars but it made me pick 1.
