   This product contains high amount of protein isolate – 25 g per scoop, at 120 calories, with a long list of good-for-you amino acids. It is also sourced in USA from pasture-raised grass-fed cows, gluten-free, lactose-free, peanut-free, non-GMO and free of artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners, so it’s an all-over clean product. It is also certified kosher dairy by the Kashruth Council of Canada (COR). I got the chocolate flavor and use it for a breakfast shake in the office. It mixes well with the help of a small personal blender. The taste is OK, nothing special on its own. If you mix it with water only, it creates somewhat watery-tasting drink. But it can be a nice addition to a richer shake. It tastes much better if you use milk as a base. I tried it mixed into water with an additional tablespoon of cacao powder and two-three tablespoons of dry milk powder, which added between 80 and 130 more calories into the drink, but the result came out very satisfying. The price is kind of on the higher side: 22 servings x 25 g of protein = 550 g of protein in the package, at $47 per package means 8.5 cents per gram of protein. But not all of the better priced products can boast all of the advantages mentioned above.

   This Kaizen Naturals Whey Isolate (Vanilla flavored) works very well in our morning smoothies. I like the way these tastes, and how easy it is to use with no clumping. We have replaced the pea-powder protein we normally use with this. It contains the one amino acid that we miss in the pea powder. It is also lactose-free, has few ingredients, and is sourced from grass-fed American cows before being cold-processed. Although the bag specifies that the product is “naturally clean”, there is a warning in small print that states that using this product could expose one to “chemicals including lead.” This is vague and gives me no handle with which to research the likelihood of contamination. But, on the other hand, there are no artificial colorants, flavors, or sweeteners in this powder, and it contains 25 grams of protein per serving with no sugars. While I consider this a nutritional splurge at about $46 per bag, I much prefer it to other sources of plant protein I have tried.

   I mixed this with water using a blender bottle. It mixes well, and produces a slightly watery chocolate drink. Chocolate flavor is there and fine, but watered down. Stevia sweetener is at a good level, not over-sweet. Overall makes an acceptable protein shake. I wouldn’t call it ‘decadent chocolate’, but it tastes fine. The bag is sturdy, and comes with a short handle scoop. The powder tends to stay together so it is easy to scoop, and pour without any mess. The bag was marked with a lot number and ‘use by’ date a little over 1 year.

   This is a good size bag! It says there are about 22 servings, but I think it might last me a little longer. This mix is basically everything good for you. Lots of protein, and amino acids. Everything your body needs to repair and be healthy. This mixes well with water and has a great taste and consistency. It is peanut free and lactose free too. I highly recommend

   I am specifically looking for a protein product that does not have sugar substitutes, especially not stevia. I looked through the ingredient list before purchasing and was happy to see that it was not listed among the touted “4 ingredients” that make up this protein powder. To my complete disappointment, the first thing I saw upon delivery was the stevia leaf extract. Additionally, when I immediately went to return the unopened package, when I clicked the link (because it’s eligible for return until sometime in April), the messaging was clear that this product is not eligible for return. Waste of money

   This is a good protein powder. The flavor is good and the calories and protein content are very similar to others that I’ve used. The price is a little higher. It mixes easily and doesn’t have big clumps. Overall I’m happy with it, just wish it was a little cheaper.
