   Not much else to say, I mix it with bananas and peanut butter so I am not sure how the original powder itself tastes. It mixes easily and isn’t too bad to drink.

   The scooper size did not match the portion size on the nutritional information label. This is a very important part of protein powders as people use them for getting additional protein. The actual scooper included only held about 24 grams of product, versus the indicated portion size of 39 grams. This is a huge difference, luckily I have larger scoopers from my other brand chocolate whey powder. I weighed with both and calculated out that the other scooper I had is the correct one for the number of portions and the total product weight. But for the cost to gram of protein ratio and overall calories, I figured I can live with it.

   Also the flavor is kind of lacking, sure there is banana flavor but it feels weak.

   For a vegan protein powder, this is quite good. It has a mild vanilla flavor. The texture is thin and easy to drink, not at all thick or chunky. I mixed it by hand with a blender bottle, and didn’t need an electric mixer. But it does settle out (sediment falls to bottom) after about 10 minutes, so I would recommend drinking it soon after mixing if you don’t have it in a blender bottle. I take this within 30 minutes of a hard workout to help boost my protein intake, and it seems it’s as easy to digest as a non-vegan product. So far I’m seeing good results in the gym with maintaining my muscle mass and growing strength.

   This protein coming out of the package smelled pretty good. I have tried it in a shake and in protein ice cream and there is just an artificial taste to it which I can’t tolerate but if you can get past that, I definitely think this is a good option if you were plant-based. The packaging was not the best. I received the bottle and it definitely was damaged during the shipping process of some of the protein powder did get on the actual outside of the bottle.

   So, this is a protein powder with solid statistics. It’s got 28 grams of protein per serving, which is pretty high for a pea protein. Now, for this, you will need more water/milk to mix it with, as the serving size is 38.75 grams – a lot of powder per serving. However, there are 35 servings in this protein powder, so you’re certainly getting a lot to work with. Despite its good nutrient profile/servings, I find that it is a bit lacking in the enjoyability factor. The flavor isn’t all that good in my opinion. The problem with most pea protein powders is that they taste… different. There’s something off with the flavor and it’s hard to put my finger on. With this vanilla protein powder, yes, it tastes like a vanilla, but it tastes like when someone makes a dessert “healthy” and it doesn’t taste as good as the real “unhealthy” dessert. Also, this protein powder is very thick – it’s creamy and a bit frothy too. I don’t usually like this and I like smooth protein powders with a consistency similar to milk alone, I don’t like frothy drinks. Also, this drink was a bit grainy. Another thing I did not like was that this protein powder came and seemed to have spilled a bit of protein powder on the side. Whether this is from another protein powder or leaked from mine, it makes me question the safety and quality of the product a bit. The product came dirty with protein powder all over container. Not to mention, this protein powder does make a mess when you need to use it – the scoop acts like a weak magnet for the powder and some of it falls off onto the counter whenever I use this. Overall, I give it a 3/5 star rating. It’s good for if you just want protein, but it’s not got the best taste, texture, it makes a bit of a mess, and it came dirty. Could have been a lot better, and I’ll stick to other powders for now.

   I have used this both in blended shakes and mixed with water. You get 28 grams of protein with no added sugars. There is mild aftertaste when mixed with water, but not so much when used in fruit smoothies.

   This is made in the USA which I like. I try to avoid imports.

   I’m always on the lookout for low cal/low sugar protein powder to put in my smoothies. OK it has artificial sweeteners but all the flavored alternatives do too. But the protein to calorie ratio is pretty good here and the flavor is great (I’m a vanilla fan as opposed to a chocolate fan) and this complements a fruit smoothie nicely.

    I’ve used the vegan protein powder with protein shakes mixed with frozen fruit to make smoothies and the flavor is excellent compared to other protein powders. It has a flavor, but isn’t a barrier the way some powders have a really artificial sugary taste.

    Overall, I’ll be purchasing again once I run out. Great stuff!
