I love this brand of protein. I am using up my 2.2 bag of unflavored as this was all I was able to find anywhere, but now I see Vanilla back in stock – Yay. This is such a smoothly blended protein powder. I have it for breakfast for several years now (accompanied by some Sacha Inchi seeds for the Omega 3 they provide). Thank you Smart138!!

I really like this protein. I can tolerate “grainy” drinks and with agave nectar added to it, I enjoy the flavor. I have found, however, that the 6-8 ounces of liquid recommended is not enough. With that amount it is very thick and my electric hand blender goes into overdrive. What I have found is using around 10-12 ounces of water and a smidge of agave, blend and then stir in my plant milk.
UPDATE: 9/2018–After recently trying another cheaper brand of pea protein, I can say that this protein is a high quality and great tasting one (I had not compared it to any other). I mentioned that it requires more liquid in the mixing which I consider a bonus! The other protein I tried was lacking in quality and flavor. Even with a small amount of liquid it was thin & had no substance. I will stick with Smart138!

Bought 15 bags of this past 3 years and this was my favorite way to take in protein because it’s the only one that doesn’t make my stomach hurt. I have always been satisfied.
The most recent bag arrived a week ago and I have opened it and used it twice. Each time I have sealed it and placed it in my pantry. On my third serving, I found a dead maggot. I am not mistaken. It had the lines/ridges that make this distinct. I am conflicted because I love this product and never had an issue like this before. I am conflicted because I had to throw out this new bag but am still contemplating if I would order another one.
I guess it’s one of those things you have to live with, like buying some salad mix and finding a worm or dead fly in the bag.
My fiancé told me I should’ve taken a picture but I don’t want to dig for it in the trash.

This is hands down the best, smoothest, cleanest vegan protein powder you can find. I went through so much trial and error with brands that are gritty, overly-sweetened, or had way too many ingredients. This is simple, delicious, and blends up nicely in no time.
I don’t find it overpoweringly sweet because of the Monk Fruit, and I don’t like the taste of stevia so the fact this pwder has no stevia is another plus.
I use a scoop of the vanilla pea protein and some vanilla flax milk, blend it in my Magic Bullet for about a minute or two and it comes out like a milkshake. LOVE this brand.

I didn’t know what I had with this powder until I tried a cheaper, somehow higher rated, unflavored pea protein powder. I figured it had to be just as good given that it seemed more popular and was higher rated, and bonus I would save like 15 bucks. I cannot say how confused I am that that other powder is rated at 4.4 and this one only 4. The other tasted sour! This one really does taste good. Not like mind blowing but like I can drink it mixed with plain unsweetened soy milk and nothing else and at no point do I find it unpleasant to drink. I didn’t think that would be that special until I tried that other powder.
Welp, I guess I’ll be shelling out nearly $40 for this one. Wish it was cheaper but I like it and I’m too traumatized to try any other alternatives lol.

Generally like the consistency and flavor, but to handle pea protein in the pouch it comes in is just a dusty mess. The powder is extremely fine, but also statically charged. The powder is filled beyond the zip-lock and when you open it, it is unavoidable to create a huge, dusty mess, not even speaking to filling it into another container. As much as I like the protein, I will likely stick with pea protein, which comes in a solid container with a screw-on plastic cap, just alone for the reason not to create a dusty mess all over the place when handling it. Protein taste as such gets a 3 to 4-Star, but because of the packaging it only gets 3.

A long time ago I used to use Whey protein almost every day but it was breaking me out, so I switched to plant-based protein. I have tried a lot of different brands over the years, some expensive, some not, and I have learned that I really just don’t like the artificial taste of a lot of them. Finally I decided to just get this one because the ingredients are simple. It’s pure and I figured I could also add my own flavors to it. I think this tastes best when mixed into food like oats, pancakes, or baked goods. I don’t love mixing it with water and drinking it out of a shaker bottle but if I do, I add a little cocoa powder and stevia. My go-to with this protein is to make chocolate mug cakes in the microwave. I feel like this is the best kind of protein to buy because you can customize it however you want. Yeah, the packaging is annoying af, but I saved one of my old containers that had Women’s Best Vegan Protein in it (horrible, don’t buy) and put it in there so I’m chilling.

After my first shake I fell absolutely in LOVE with the smart 138 pea protein. Compared to a few other brands of pea protein that I have tried, smart 138 has the most amazing texture by far. It is not extra gritty and blends well with a lot of different things. I will warn you in saying that this is UNFLAVORED protein powder (which they do a great job of making pretty clear on the packaging) but I purposely ordered unflavored since I mix mine with a lot of different things to add flavor. Example: strawberries, bananas, blueberries, powdered peanut butter, and almond milk. I even add it to my oatmeal in the morning and it tastes AMAZING! It also keeps you full for a good chunk of time which has helped a lot in my new diet plan.
Bottom line…. I have my new favorite protein and after a month of replacing small meals with a smart 138 protein shake I am down about 7 pounds!
