I have been using Tru Supplements Protein powders for the past 3-4 year and have always bought the Vanilla Cream flavor and loved it…….BUT after trying this new Peanut Butter Cupcake flavor, OMG it has been my new found love of flavor. I do not find Tru Supplements protein powder as chalky as other brands I’ve tasted. My boyfriend has been lifting weights since his teenage years and when he tasted Tru Supplements protein powder, he was impressed and said it was really good and not chalky. On another note, it does not make me gassy. Everyone is different and you have to try it for yourself to see how your body will receive and respond to any and all products. Update: I just ventured out and tried the Strawberry Jam flavor and it is a strawberry treat! I immediately wanted to add a banana to it. It taste like a fresh strawberry sundae! P & J The dried strawberries really make the difference. The peanut butter and jelly flavor is de.li.cious. Every time I work out I feel like I get rewarded for my hard work! The peanut butter flavor is there, but not to over powering. I like to shake this when I want to crunch on the strawberries, or blend it when I want the strawberry and peanut butter flavor really mixed in the way the flavors mesh when I have a sandwich. Tru is winning with making healthy, tasty plant protein flavors!!!

I love TRU protein, and I’m not normally big on sweet flavors but I decided to try the new dessert series flavor and wow! TRU really goes above and beyond with these products. So I drink a protein shake every morning after a workout. I have one of those single drink blenders and always blend with ice to make a smoothie like consistency.

This protein powder does not blend well. It’s super fine and dense so when I blend it, it’s like blending peanut butter. I have to shake it up and move it around at least twice for it to thoroughly blend.

The taste is great. I got the coconut macaroon and it’s really good! Very sweet almost too sweet but I blend it with other things to neutralize the sweetness.

Im going to try blending with an avocado, maybe that will help blend the powder better. I tried 1/2 banana, and same sticky gunk happened in my blender. Idk.

I think the price is fair for the oz you get. I like that it’s plant protein. I’m a big Dymatize girl. I love that brand of protein but not sure if it’s vegan friendly.

I’ve tried at least 5 flavors from this company and this one is my top 2. To me it doesn’t have a strong peanut butter flavor so I add a Tbsp of natural peanut butter. I’m going to have to buy another tub because the whole family loves it as well. I love the protein from TRU, it’s all natural, no ingredients added that I don’t feel good giving to my six year old.

I have been following the co-owner of tru supplements for a while and held back from purchasing her products because i thought they were a bit pricey. I recently caved in purchased the banana maple muffin flavor. I just used it today with some almond milk only and it was very tasty and sweet. It is a bit sweeter than i am used to, but it’s not overwhelming. I also like that i only need 1 scoop per 20 gram of protein. With other vegan brands 20 grams of protein is 2 scoops. This is important to me because i dont want my shake to be too thick. This powder was also not grainy like other vegan powders. I will probably buy more when pregnant.

I’ve tried all their flavors over the years because I’ve wanted to see which one I would love the most. My go-to for a hot minute has been Peanut Butter Banana Cupcake because it’s delicious and perfectly sweet!
Then when Tru Supplements said they were dropping PB&J flavor I automatically thought, “ If this flavor tastes exactly like a PB&J sandwich I will be over the moon.” Because let’s be honest who doesn’t love a good PB&J sandwich?

The day came when the protein arrived I got all giddy even before I opened the tub because it’s pb&j y’all lol! I opened the container did the sniff test to see if it smelled like it and it passed! Because let’s be honest that’s what you are supposed to do when you get a new flavor right?🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Update: I have been drinking this protein shaking for a few months now thinking it was a delicious, healthy, plant based shake. I saw the warning label today advising on possible lead exposure, chemicals, and possible affects on one’s reproductive health. . . . I am appalled. I don’t recommend this product. DISREGARD When I am stressed out at work or on the go I tend to delay eating. By the time I feel relaxed enough to eat it is 9:00 pm. I decided to try this for breakfast and it is fantastic. I have a shaker from another company that has what looks like a large plastic jack in it which does a great job of thoroughly blends the protein powder in a cup of oat milk so I don’t need a blend or electricity. I can prepare a quick shake on business travel, at work, anywhere. I ordered the banana muffin and maple syrup. If you love pastries in the morning and tend to have a sweet tooth, this satisfies that craving for me. It is so delicious and not grainy or gross tasting like a lot of other powerless I have tried. I am lactose intolerant so appreciate that it is loaded with vegan alternatives. I had some gas but I am not sure if it was my body responding to any fiber in the product. I dislike Stevie, aspartame, and any fake substitutes that have a horrible after taste. This product does not have any weird after taste. It satisfies my appetite and my sweet tooth without being too sweet. I love it and will explore the other flavors.

This is my first plant based protein I’ve ever tried so I won’t comment on the taste as I don’t have anything to compare it to other than whey protein based products. But I’m writing this review because I am disapointed in the amount of product in the jar. I am going to attach photos, that show the level of product in the container when I bought it. One picture shows the powder on the inside, now pay attention to where the powder is in reference to the shadow of the label that’s on the outside of the container. The second photo is of the outside of the container, with light shining in, so you can faintly see the shadow of the powder inside. It’s almost a 3rd of the jar that is empty. Now I don’t have a scale so I don’t know if the contents actually matches the (1.1) lbs of product as the label claims…and maybe the jar is just too big? Just kind of rubbed me the wrong way as this product wasn’t cheep.

I have been using TRU supplements for a little over 2 years now. When dairy started to upset my stomach, I knew I had to make the switch from whey protein to plant based protein.
