This like many other protein powders has a chalky taste. The smell of the protein is great and it doesn’t taste too bad. I mixed in a blender with milk and strawberries. I’ve never heard the term lean protein before so this is new for me. I will say that I weighed the bag after opening to see if it matched the weight on the bag as it was three quarters full. It did match including the packaging. The package states that you get 17grams of protein per serving.

The Vanilla Tropeaka Protein powder is about the same as most powders. I mix it with lots of fruit, and it’s great after that. The bag says 20 servings for $37 (at the time of this review), which is a lot more expensive than my 35 servings for $25 using the powder that I normally use. The Tropeaka might be a little healthier mix, but I am not sure at this time if the cost difference will make it a better or even an affordable option. But it blends nicely and states as expected. It’s a good option for those who might have trouble with other mixes.

The flavor on this powder is pretty subtle, making it easy to add to a variety of different drinks or smoothies. If you mix it with water it can be eaten directly, although isn’t particularly flavorful.
The ingredient selection is good, especially if someone is avoiding animal-based protein. Carbs and sugars aren’t zero, but aren’t too high.
It mixes well with water and turns into a pretty smooth texture.
In case anyone is curious about the Prop65 warning, it is likely due to the licorice.

I was excited to try this as I love having chocolate vegan protein on-hand for easy breakfast smoothies. The powder is a little chalky but blended better than some other options out there. I found the flavor to be a bit saccharine-y which I think is due to the sweetener used but I also think, after looking at the list of ingredients, that the maca is a bit strong and what I’m tasting mixed with the fake-sweetness-taste. It’s not my favorite taste. I did a test with just the powder and some homemade oatmilk. I think it may be better with my normal frozen banana added. I’ll keep trying to see if I can get it to an enjoyable place. The ingredients for the most part look great, so I am encouraged to keep trying and not just toss it/give it away. It seems to be a quality supplement, I just think I may have preferred the caramel flavor based on the sweetness, if getting it had been an option for me.

I have been working out for close to a decade now and this is the only protein product that has never left me bloated. The taste isn’t great but is Definitly better than the numerous other protein powders I have tried throughout the years. Overall I’d highly recommend.
