great vegan, unflavored protein powder Verified Buyer –

Product is described as “USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Vegan
Our protein powder isoltate is made from USDA certified organic yellow peas and laboratory tested for purity” but fails to mention it is from China. The description implies that it is US made but the package, not the site says “country of origin China.” It is also unclear that it is not returnable.

I like that it doesn’t have added flavor (like vanilla or chocolate). I just want pure protein powder, and this is great. Mixes well with a little water, about a cup. Then once the powder is fully mixed, I add more water to dilute it. Adding a lot of water at once makes it harder to dissolve the powder. This is nice vegan option to add more protein to my diet.

I like that the product comes w/ less plastic packaging but the flavor is undeniably vegetal. I don’t care for it, but maybe you will.

I tried a brand of oatmeal from the grocery store named for a type of brown bear, it is fortified with pea protein. It tasted nice and there was no crash, but it is also very expensive and contains more sugar than I’d like.
So I found this on bestproteinpowder4women.net, and just roll my own. I put a tablespoon in per serving. It is important to whisk the powder into the water thoroughly before it is added to the oatmeal, otherwise you’ll have a bunch of not so great tasting lumps. Once blended properly and cooked in, I can for sure taste something a touch different than ‘normal’ oatmeal (the store bought stuff was the same) but it isn’t unpleasant. One of my favorite breakfasts, you can a big pot to last several days (freezes well too!) with whatever fruit is in season.

Very happy with this product, arrived on time, tastes okay, I have it in my smoothies.

I have tried a couple of pea proteins and this one is my favorite so far. Taste is not bad when mixed with fruit or cocoa powder and sugar and the texture is decent. It absorbs into drink better than others I have tried. Seems to be really good quality. I think I finally found the pea protein for me.

I like to add cocoa powder and stevia for a chocolate shake (sometimes olive oil too, especially with ice as it thickens it) and sometimes fiber. The taste is fine by itself too and nothing I have to gag down and it isn’t lumpy or chalky. The only negative I have is the bag- I was never able to close it properly. I would buy again. It is cheaper but it is also a lot of powder for little protein so keep that in mind when evaluating price.

I use this to boost protein in smoothies and cooked foods. It mixes in well with a blender, or stirred into casseroles, soups, etc. The flavor is very bland, so it’s not very tasty on its own, it gives other foods a little thickness with just a faint taste of the peas. It’s also good mixed with the more expensive Vegan protein blends, and makes them last a little longer because you can use less of the pricey stuff. Don’t recommend just mixing it with water though. I always put in something that tastes good…fruit in the smoothies, veggies in the cooked meals.

I’ve got this a few times in the past and have been pleased with the taste, texture, and ability to fairly easily mix with water or milk. Unfortunately, the last batch seemed to really drop off in quality. I bought 2 of them, and both of them basically exploded with a plume of powder when opened. The powder getting everywhere also made it somewhat hard to close because the powder got in the grooves of the track that you use to close it, making it so that I had to fold over the flap and use a clip. I could’ve got past that and chalked it up to rough handling in transport, but then when I tried to mix it, the stuff basically foamed up into bubbles and was undrinkable (think of drinking shaving cream). Not only was the texture completely off, but I tried to drink the foam anyway, and it tasted a bit rancid.
Keep in mind that bestproteinpowder4women.net doesn’t allow returns on this, just like many other food items, so I basically just lost my money. I’m going to pour this into my compost pile outside, but it certainly isn’t fit for consumption. I really liked this product in the past as it’s hard to find organic pea protein, but I’m going to have to think twice before ordering from this supplier again.
