   I have tried this Stone Age Protein both in a shaker bottle with almond milk and in a blender with a fruit smoothie. In both cases, the powder blended as well as other protein powders I have used in the past. The vanilla flavor is nice but not over powering. I am not an expert when it come to the differing sources of protein, but this mix tastes good and works well.

   This is one of the best vanilla protein powders I have tasted. It is sweet enough and you really can taste the vanilla and it doesn’t have that weird aftertaste that most of these have. I do think it is very expensive, however, if it’s in your budget, it’s definitely worth the buy. It’s easy to mix with vanilla almond milk which is my preference and it has amazing ingredients and plenty of protein. I found it easy to digest. I can’t speak to it’s energy infusion because I take a lot of supplements but I definitely didn’t feel bad while drinking this. I need to drink it more consistently to speak to energy and effectiveness but I can definitely speak to quality and taste and it has that in spades! This is high quality.

   Good protein source. Tastes good in a shake or with soy or almond milk. I personally didn’t like it with water, the texture was weird.

   I donate plasma amd needed a better source of protein. This works great so far.

   Pros: It’s easy on my stomach, the ingredient list is great, it’s nice to have a little fiber with my protein, and the calorie and nutrition profile is acceptable vs the protein content (more on nutrition below), and none of the protein is from milk, pea, or soy (if you’re trying to avoid that or to diversify your diet. Cons: The taste takes getting used to and there were two nutrition labels (see photo), one printed on a sticker and placed on top of the one printed on the bag. The labels don’t match, sometimes in major ways. Maybe they adjusted the formula and are trying to use up older packaging, maybe there were some errors or misprints, but I have to confess, it doesn’t fill me with confidence.

   I ordered this Stone Age Protein | Gluten-Free Egg White Protein Powder for my husband who’s a first responder and has to do PT every day (so he really can use that extra protein and has used a variety or protein products in the past). This is what he thought: This Stone Age protein is an egg white protein. It does taste good and mixes well. It contains 19 grams of protein per serving and only 1 gram of sugar. I was looking forward to using the entire bag to see if I notice a difference. However, once I noticed that this protein powder contains hemp I decided against it. I did some research and some online articles state that hemp will show up on drug tests, others say it won’t show up. If you get drug tested on a regular basis like me, it is probably best to be safe and not risk it. Otherwise I would recommend it to others.

   The Nutra-Farms Stone Age Protein powder is an easy to digest protein powder with quality ingredients. I usually feel bloated after drinking protein powder mixed drinks, but have not experienced any bloating while using the Nutra-Farms powder. This has a smooth vanilla taste without any weird aftertaste. I have simply mixed one scoop of the powder with 10 ounces of water. This product is on the pricey side compared to protein powders I tend to spend money on. Overall, I would recommend the Nutra-Farms Stone Age Protein.

   I did not realize it when I requested it, this stuff has hemp added to it. Upon searching online I found out that ingesting hemp products can cause you to fail a drug test. I get drug tested regularly at work and cannot take a chance. I’m not even sure why you would put that in protein powder. I’ve had so many different types of workout supplements and have never had that added to any of them. Unfortunately, I can’t even try it. I wanted to try it since it’s egg white protein. I’ve heard great things about egg protein powder. I eat 8 eggs every morning for breakfast so I know how great egg protein can be. I will be giving it to my friend who works out with me to try.

   As the title says, been using some of this to add some protein to my overnight soaked oats in oatmeal. The flavor and mix of ingredients blends well with overnight oat soaks, and I don’t perceive any grit or grainy texture in them. The vanilla is subtle but present (I usually add vanilla when blending my oats for soaking, but I left it out on two batches to see if I could pick this out). I haven’t tried blending or a traditional shake so far, but these have been spot on in my application.

    This product is the fourth egg white protein powder product I’ve tried over the past year. I mentioned in a recent review for Peak Performance Grass Fed Beef Protein Isolate Vanilla Powder that it was the 50th protein powder that I’ve tried over the last 4 years, and I was only relatively recently introduced to egg white protein powder as a viable alternative to protein shakes. Instead of using a mix of reverse osmosis filtered water and organic 1% low fat milk for protein shakes, I’ve been using Fage 2% Total Milkfat Plain Greek Yogurt for egg white protein powders. It seems some are using egg white protein powders in their shakes, but I personally don’t care to do so. The first egg white protein powder I ever tried is Nutricost Egg White Protein Powder. While I rated this Nutricost product five stars, I’m rating this Nutra-Farms product only four stars because it has a slightly bitter aftertaste. I would have considered the slightly bitter aftertaste a bit strange because the Nutricost product solely contains egg white protein, and I mentioned in my review that the taste is “almost akin to cookie batter” when combined with yogurt, the second egg egg white protein powder I tried, from NOW Sports, has a slightly bitter aftertaste. Because the NOW Sports product solely contains egg white protein and sunflower lecithin, and this Nutra-Farms product also contains sunflower lecithin, I contribute the taste to the presence of sunflower lecithin. I’ve attached the nutrition facts labeling from the nutrafarms dot online product description, since it was excluded from the product listing here. The inclusion of monk fruit extract and stevia apparently isn’t enough to hide the sunflower lecithin bitterness. While I admit that the cookie batter taste missing from NOW Sports can be detected to some extent in Nutra-Farms, it’s just not bitterness free as is the case with Nutricost. The inclusion of other protein sources such as chia and hemp is interesting, but animal protein is considered the best source of protein. In my review of the Nutricost product, I mentioned a research paper published in Journal of Sports Science & Medicine entitled “Protein – Which is Best?” that can be found via the National Library of Medicine’s PubMed Central. Of the 9 protein types evaluated, egg is at the top of the list for its protein digestibility alongside casein, milk, soy protein, and whey protein, but exceeds all others when it comes to its protein efficiency ratio and net protein utilization. The reason proteins from animal sources provide the highest quality rating of food sources is primarily due to the completeness of proteins from these sources. Although protein from these sources are also associated with high intakes of saturated fats and cholesterol, studies have demonstrated positive benefits of animal proteins, and none of the egg white protein powder products mentioned in this review contain these other substances.
