After some surfing for a good solid product, I found Tera’s Whey. This is an organic product, so BGH(bovine growth hormone) is not
an issue. Whey is a good source of protein and is extracted easily with minimal heat to affect the final product. It blends easily. I use coconut water and a banana or the in season fruit available. I drink some at mid-morning at break and it realy carries me through til a later lunch. I finish it on the way home and it takes the lag out. By the way it tastes good. My favorite is the vanilla. Its a bit pricey but I feel I.m staving off muscle loss at my age by incorporating it into my day

I’m not sure why I see several comments about this product tasting ‘nasty’ but that is far from the truth! I think with a lot of these powders it is how well it is mixed. I use my Nutra Bullet and mix the Organic Grass Fed Whey with some frozen pineapple, banana, kale, spinach, flaxseed, Healthforce Vitamineral Green powder, Keifer, and Almond Milk. It makes the most delicious bright green protein shake!! I’ve also used the whey powder without ALL the above ingredients and it is very smooth and tasty! It has never clumped up for me as others have stated, but as I mentioned earlier I use my Nutra Bullet mixer which you can now purchase for under $100. A small investment but it TRUELY helps in mixing these wonderful ingredients into a delicious and nutritious shake that you can quickly make on the go! I’ve tried other Whey protein powders and this one to me by far is the best! It’s also a nice and peaceful feeling to knowing this is Organic and doesn’t have the chemicals and additives that other protein powders have. It WORKS for me!

Bought the Bourbon Vanilla. I was pleasantly surprised by it’s mild but delicious vanilla flavor, slight sweetness, and no bitter stevia aftertaste. This was simply mixed with 2% milk. (Note: for those who have trouble mixing it. I use a stainless steel bottle and leave A LOT of room at the top so it’s got room to really really blend as I shake it – mixes well for me that way) I plan to try it with my usual smoothie ingredients next (frozen blueberries and big handful of baby spinach) and hope the flavor is enough to mask the spinach 🙂
For those who mention SOY as an ingredient, perhaps that was an old formulation. The ingredients on my canister are: organic dairy whey protein concentrate, organic vanilla, organic sunflower lecithin, and stevia leaf extract. I believe the sunflower lecithin is now used in place of soy. I bought this for my VERY texturally picky husband as I wasn’t pleased with the ingredients in another brand protein powder that he’d been using. Thankfully, he likes it too. Buying some dark chocolate for myself next. Is it spendy? Yes. But being that neither of us are “breakfast people” during the week, it is worth it to me. I hope this review helps.
I will revisit after trying my smoothie recipe and after trying the dark chocolate.

Tera’s Whey Organic Protein, Bourbon Vanilla is my to go to Whey protein powder. It has a mild vanilla flavor, mixes well and tastes great compared to other protein powders – I’ve tried several Vegan and Whey protein powders. So it was incredibly perturbed when I received my can without the plastic cover and couldn’t find a cover to fit. I had to transfer to another container, however it seems that the true container is lined so not sure the transfer will affect the nutritional value of the powder. I hate returning items and needed the powder immediately so didn’t try to return. And really? Return a product because cover was missing? Mistakes do happen, but was really perturbing and inconvenient.

Delicious protein and it blends so well with smoothies. I found this product when searching specifically for organic protein – with all of the concerns around gmo soy it was important to me to find something certified organic. You truly cannot taste the protein, it’s not powdery at all and the bourbon vanilla in particular is delicious. I’m anxious to try some of the other flavors. Only con is you get so little protein for such a high price. Compared to almost all other proteins on the market, this is really expensive and not at all sustainable. One container recommends 2 scoops daily and contains a total of 12 servings. So in other words you have to order at least 2 containers a month if you’re trying to take this daily (or close to daily) and depending on the price you’re able to buy it for, you’re potentially looking at upwards of $50 for a one month supply. For $50 you can get close to a 3 month or more supply of another type of protein. All in all, love this product but wish they would make it in a bigger size for a more affordable price.
