   I have used a variety of protein powders over the years and this is up there as one of my favorites. Sometimes I make a shake as directed and sometimes I add it to other foods and recipes as a way to sneak in some added protein. My review for this is only as a shake. The first thing I noticed when I opened the canister was that there wasn’t a lot of wasted space. I appreciate this for a variety of reason. It means there’s not a lot of extra unnecessary plastic waste, it doesn’t distort the amount of product you think you’re getting, and the slim packaging makes it easier to store. Sometimes I make my shakes at home and sometimes at work. For this I made it as if I was at work, meaning my access to a blender is non-existent. I only used water and spoon and it mixed up well, there wasn’t clumps floating on the top, and not a lot of residual left in the glass when I was done drinking it. The smell and taste were good, there was a slight aftertaste but I find that typical for most protein powders. It wasn’t unpleasant just noticeable. My only complaint was that the scoop came buried under the powder. I had other scoops from other powders to use so not a big deal, but as you can see it’s going to take at least another serving before I can easily get the scoop not out. If you don’t have a scoop on hand I’d be prepared to dig a little bit.

   First impression, I like that this protein powder dissolves much better than most others I have tried without using a blender. The texture is very smooth and pleasant but relatively thick. As for the drink itself, there is a strong vanilla flavor and it is amazing but very sweet so if you don’t like very sweet flavor, this may not be for you. I mixed this with milk which is better but given the flavor, mixing it with water would still make a good protein shake. According to the supplement facts, it has about 24 grams of protein per scoop (included) and has a decent amount of calcium and potassium it as well as a bunch of other supplements. It also has 130 calories which is decent and the amounts of cholesterol and sodium are also reasonable which is a big plus. The only downside is that the price for it is relatively high. Pros: Flavor, texture and a good amount of protein, calcium and other minerals and supplements. I would totally recommend it if you are looking for a good protein source for workout, given the good quality of this product.

   This protein powder mixes fairly easily but you will get very small clumps if you don’t use a mixer ball in your shaker. With a mixer ball you get no clumps. It says to mix it with 6-8 oz of beverage but doing so gives it a very strong vanilla flavor. While it tastes ok mixed water, it’s much better with milk. However, for me it is overpoweringly strong unless you use about 10oz or more of milk with a level scoop. However even with 10oz of milk, I am not a huge fan of this vanilla flavor because it’s too strong. Overall, this is still a pretty good vanilla protein powder.

   Been mixing it up with shakes for a few weeks now. Overall, I don’t have any real complaints, other than it’s about as good as what I get from Costco and that’s cheaper, so… yeah.

   Anyways, the texture is good and blends well with shakes. I usually add peanut butter and chocolate and this goes right along with those and enhances the flavors.

   Overall, while I do appreciate a quality product, the value needs to be there as well. So I have to take off a star simply for the fact that I don’t see myself paying this every time when I can get something I like just as good, elsewhere, for cheaper.

   Probably one of the best, if not the best, tasting whey proteins around. Not the creamiest one but the flavor of the vanilla is just too good, definitely perfect on its own or in a berry smoothie. Not gritty or anything, it is fine but I’ve tried just so many different brands that I would say… this is the best vanilla flavor and probably number 3 in creamyness among 20 different brands. It is lightyears ahead of anything I’ve tried from walmart/aldi/target and others, way ahead. And the powder looks dark for vanilla, but it is like a french vanilla, something upscale, maybe there’s something that gives it that color, like real vanilla ice cream where you can see vanilla bean specks all over.
