I was a little unsure what to expect from this protein powder. I like that it is plant-based protein and has clean ingredients. I’m so use to protein powders being chocolate or vanilla type of flavors and BCAAs being the fruitier flavors so having a watermelon protein powder kind of threw me off a bit. It’s mixed up very well in a protein shaker bottle and there is absolutely zero clumpiness or chunks in it. It’s got the mouth feel of a protein powder, a little bit of chaulky feel on the back end but the fruitiness of a BCAA drink.
Overall, it’s not bad at all, but I just need to train my brain not to be so confused with each sip. I only tried mixing it with water as I didn’t want it to feel or sit heavy. I do like that I can get my protein and my amino acids all at once with this powder and the convenience of that alone makes it worth it. I also hate how a lot of protein powders package in the big plastic tubs and it feels so wasteful to me. So, the fact that this one sells in a much more environmentally friendly bag makes me want to support them that much more. I would say it’s definitely worth a try if you’re on the edge.

We like protein powders and add them to a variety of things, especially smoothies and juices. This one was a tough sell. It was very grainy to start and harder to blend than normal and the flavor was just really difficult to enjoy. I’m not sure if it was the watermelon flavor or the graininess but even blended into a smoothie, it just tasted artificial and we couldn’t cover that up. This one was a hard sell with my family, not sure I will be able to get them to finish it. Its better in a strong fruit juice but again, its grainy so the texture is very altered. It seems to have some good ingredients but it does have sucralose, which is ok in small amounts but we do try hard to avoid it if at all possible.
