   Opening the bag this stuff smells heavenly but after mixing with milk the powder seems like it did not fully absorb into the milk. Very textured and unpleasant. The taste of this powder is good but definitely lacks the tiramisu vibe I was craving, I mean the flavor is kind of there but it doesn’t taste right. For the price I would not purchase this protein powder again. There are much better options out there for a better price and overall drinking experience.

   This review is for Vitalura Labs Plant-Based Protein Powder – Vegan Protein (Tiramisu).

   I love the idea of this. Tiramisu is absolutely my jam and I was super excited to open this bag and take in all the smells and flavors. Upon opening the bag, smell is fantastic! I was even more excited to taste it!! I did half a glass of water and half a glass of whole milk (yes, its legal to use milk with vegan protein) and mixed it together with an electric frother, had no issues with clumping. Once I got to the taste, it was wonderful! Flavor was really close to what it’s supposed to be. My big problem is the texture. It reminds me of vegan protein from years back – very grainy. I’ve had other vegan proteins that were not and they’ve all been recent so I assumed companies figured out how to fix the weird grainy texture but apparently not. Maybe I’ll just have to use less of it or mix it in something like oatmeal instead of trying to drink it. Some folks might not have an issue with it and will probably enjoy this highly. I’m bummed.

   When I opened this protein bag, the coffee smell was unmistakable. I decided to mix half of a scoop in with some vanilla protein yogurt. It took a little bit of effort to get it all mixed in so I’m glad I didn’t use a full scoop. The result was a lovely, dessert like yogurt that tasted just like tiramisu. It was a little heavy so I think I would mix in a scoop of sugar free Cool Whip next time, but overall, this is a nice, high protein dessert!

   This worked great to make “nice” healthy ice cream, the flavor and texture are both great. Since i’m using it for ice cream, I’m adding a thicker, mixing with milk and blending with an electric stick blender. The nutritional value is pretty good, but price is on the higher side, so not 100% if I would order again.

   The flavor of the tiramisu protein powder is awesome, but it’s very difficult to get it to mix smoothly and the texture is hard to get down for me, but I’m very sensitive to food textures. If you can get over the grittiness it’s a great product, loaded with protein and the best part, fully vegan! Been working on upping my protein and this is a great solution, but you need to add in my opinion a lot for a serving, so I’ve been doing less to help with the texture issue.

   My wife was thinking “eeyuu, Tiramisù flavor?” but when she whipped up a smoothie for us both, we enjoyed it. The taste was much better than many of the plant based protein powders I have bought in the past. Pros: +Easy to blend (I use coconut water, milk, greek yogurt, and/or thinner juices such as dragon fruit or tart cherry) +25 grams of protein in each serving +Good ingredients including Stevia and Monk fruit (vs artificial sweeteners). The only reason I give it 4 vs 5 stars is the price. At $3 a serving ($45 total) seems a little steep. But then again, buying from a smoothie bar would cost much more than that. Based on my positive experience with this product, I would be willing to get other flavors or products made by Vitalura.

   Flavor: Pretty strong coffee notes. I don’t think this stuff tastes very good mixed with water. If you use one of the little shaker balls, it does dissolve pretty well. Scoop size: This scoop seems massive compared to the one I’m used to using from Huel. They say that this scoop holds 37g, which doesn’t seem correct, but I don’t have a scale to validate. Maybe you’re only supposed to fill the scoop to the line and now the top? Overall opinion: I don’t really like this stuff. Something about the flavor feels off, even when you mix it with other protein powders. I think it might be the Stevia. If you like Stevia flavor, this may be for you.

   This product is the second protein powder that I’ve tried from Vitalura Labs, and the 46th protein powder that I’ve tried over the last three years. This tiramisù flavored variant is a winner just like the chocolate gelato flavored variant that I picked up three months ago. If you’ve ever had the dessert by the same name, I think you’ll find that the taste of this tiramisù flavored variant is exactly the same. And as you can see from the nearby nutrition facts that I’ve posted here, this flavor comes from food sources (decaf coffee, cocoa powder, natural vanilla flavor, natural cookie flavor, natural espresso flavor), sweetened with stevia leaf extract and monk fruit extract, with 0g total sugars. I’m pleased that this product contains 25g of protein per serving, above the 20g to 22g of protein that I’ve come to expect from other products. But you should be aware that only 15 servings are provided rather than the 30 servings provided by the chocolate gelato flavored variant. Some might be interested in knowing that both products mix extremely well by just stirring with a spoon.

   This had such potential.

   It smelled good when I opened it. It mixed well with a shaker cup / shaker ball. It didn’t leave any big chunks that wouldn’t incorporate.

   But it’s like drinking sand. It actually catches in my throat. And it’s disappointing because the taste is actually really good. It’s just the texture. I mix my protein with Almond milk so I can’t imagine how gritty this would be with water.

   I tried mixing it with my current protein powder, using about 1/4 scoop of this powder and 3/4 scoop my current powder and that made it tolerable but still really gritty.

   Would not buy again.
