   I was about to subscribe & save on a different protein powder I had ordered a couple of times in the past but thought I’d try this one, just in case I might be missing out. I was not missing out. I was excited about this one after reading someone described this as tasting like vanilla cake. It did not taste like vanilla cake. Every morning I drink it I try & put words to the flavor & I cannot. The worst part about this is the FOAM. Mix it up, gets foamy, foam does not go away! I end up wasting the last bit of the shake because drinking foam is not what my mouth wants. I’ll be going back to my previous protein powder! I’d return this, but it says I can’t. Sigh.

   I know, it states this and it’s filled by volume and there’s even a line drawn on the back saying it will settle… but seriously, for the cost it’s kind of disappointing. Why SO much empty space in a big container? Shrinkflation? It’s like buying a bag of chips, where it’s all air. If it’s not for product preservation, then it’s simply for marketing I guess? Results are too soon too determine, but time will tell and can update my thoughts accordingly.

   First things first; this product has a great taste AND texture! I’ve tried nearly 50 different vegan protien brands/products an this is by far the best. I use it every morning in my breakfast smoothy with great results. The quality ingredients of this Sport product digest well and don’t have the chalky consistency that many other products do. I have mixed it with just water and it’s decent. I’ve introduced several friends to this product and they have had similar feedback regarding digestion & taste The flavor is pretty good, they used to make a strawberry that was a lil odd- but chocolate is my go-to and the vanilla is also good Lastly is effectiveness- I’m vegan except for fish and eggs (Pescatarian) and have stomach issues with dairy. A balanced & diverse blend of protien sources includes: pea, navy beans, lentil, cranberry, and sprouted garbanzo. It’s got a comprehensive Amino Acid complex as well! I’ve found most vegan products have a lot of sugar or sweeteners, this is mostly organic and digests well If your looking for vegan protien with great value (approx $2.²⁵ per serving), that provides a clean & balanced profile of protiens, w/out a bunch of sugar or fillers (gellan/acacia gum or similar) this is a great product I highly recommend!

   So I took a break from buying this product for a while. I guess that was a mistake because when I got it again, not only did the design change, but everything else did as well! One thing I’m most annoyed about is how there is less than half of the product inside (see pic attached). I see they have changed the price to accommodate this, but the flavor is worse so that doesn’t matter. I’ve been buying this product for a few years now and unfortunately I’m gonna have to look for another one.

   Been using this powder for about a year now and have loved everything about it. A few months ago the container switched from the silver shown on the listing to a plain white plastic. Didn’t think much of it as the product inside seemed to be the same. This most recent order, however, I noticed a big difference in flavor and saw that the vanilla bean image now includes a picture of two wafers. The ingredient list now has “natural flavors” under the vanilla flavoring section as well. Sadly, the flavor is much worse than it has been in the past. I can’t stress how great this product has been for me, but it is incredibly disappointing to see these negative changes without any notification or alteration to the product listing. For every container prior to this one, my score would be 5 stars easily. I will try one more container before beginning the search for a new plant protein powder, but I’m afraid I’ll have to give up Garden of Life if this is the product they continue to offer. Update: I’m struggling to finish this container and promptly purchasing a new brand.

    I need to know the correct sodium per serving, medical reasons. Container says 230 mg per 1 scoop but when you scan it or search web it says 90mg per 1 scoop. I’m thinking in past it always says 90 per scoop and contains I got are miss labeled with the 240 mg per scoop.

    I have supported Garden of Life for years. The main reason is that everything was done with care and was all natural. I don’t know what has happened but the quality has dropped significantly and they have started to include “natural flavors.” Completely disappointed!     Previously I was using a pre-made drink by top protein company which came in a variety of flavors. Since bariatric surgery gastric sleeve, I was having horrible flatulence and constipation. My nutrition has gave me a list of vegan replacements and this was one of them. I researched. I read reviews and then I bought. It came very quickly. I used a magic bullet to blend it. To keep the calories down. I used half water and half unsweetened almond milk. You can definitely taste the almonds from the almond milk. It helps to cut the thickness of the protein, drink. The protein drink. You can still taste and is quite thick. Once blended. It has foam on the top. Sometimes I do add an extract to give flavor but this time I wanted to give it a full review on its own. I can’t speak to the flatulence or the constipation because I’m just drinking my first drink but so far I am I’m enjoying the drink.

    *Update: Switched to Vega Sport because of the price increase on this protein and the fact that this is never available. Listen, I did tons of research and just searching in general for a protein that met all my criteria. NO artificial flavors, NO disguised sugars, NO seed oils, and atleast 30g of protein. It’s almost impossible! This is the one, if you read all the ingredients, everything is organic and simple! Also it’s not grainy at all, it’s nice and smooth! Love this!

    I subscribed to this plant based protein with Vanilla Flavor. However, the taste of the protein is different from the one delivered last month. Both are vanilla Flavored, but the Vanilla taste is different. I prefer the original flavor more than the new vanilla flavor delivered this time. I can notice that the formula changed, and I can also see the difference in the packaging. Also, the original says that supports immune system and the new packaging says that it contains probiotics for digestion.

    So I have been buying this product for years and always loved that it was a healthier alternative to whey protein. Went to place an order and noticed that I was sent what looked like an updated formula. Biggest draw back is that they increased the sodium x3 and removed just about all of the vitamins… bestproteinpowder4women.net did nut update this on the product page which is disappointing. Why fix something if it wasn’t broken in the first place? The old formula is the bottle to the left in the pictures and the new one is to the right.

    Honestly love this product, doesn’t hurt my stomach like the whey stuff with sugar alcohols, actually seems to improve gut health. Label is detailed and has good ingredients. It’s a little pricier than some of their other protien powders but the composition is really good. My only critique is that some of it does tend to settle at the bottom but it’s not that big of a deal I just give my bottle a shake before I take a drink

    I have done a lot of different protein shake mixes over the years. I chose to try this one because of it being organic. The ingredients are good, but the taste is Soso.     What’s going on @GardenofLife ? I’ve been ordering this exact powder for years and just got a new order with a scoop that’s 67cc instead of the 60cc that had been included in the jugs thus far. The jug size hasn’t changed, nor has the recommended serving size (level scoop), nor the servings per container yet the scoop has increased by 12%. Are you just trying to get us to go through more powder quicker without updating the nutrition label? This is shady at best and purposefully giving us inaccurate nutrition information at worse. I’d love an explanation.

    I have used this product for years. I primarily put it in smoothies in the morning to make protein smoothies. I LOVED IT. I always recommended it to others and have been on a subscription to get it once a month. I just opened up a new one today and immediately tasted something different after my first sip. It left a nasty after taste and made my smoothie taste gross. After a few sips I decided to look at the container and noticed the image was different, changed from a vanilla flower to a vanilla wafer…? Not appealing to someone who is health conscious. Then after comparing the ingredients I noticed the switch for organic vanilla flavor to organic natural flavor, whatever that means. They also added Guar Gum. They ALSO removed the measurements for 7 different minerals, now only showing 2: Calcium and Iron. I called Garden of Life directly and they confirmed they changed the formulation of the powder. I let her know, respectfully, it tastes gross, I was unhappy, and that I would be cancelling my subscription. Yes, it was that bad and I’m really sad about this change. Not sure why a premium brand such as Garden of Life would modify a perfectly good formula to decline its quality! I included pictures of containers, first 2 are the new formula, last 2 are the old!

    First I got vanilla, it has a play dough smell and taste but I was able to drink it. I decided to try the chocolate which I like much better. It doesn’t smell or taste like play dough. My only issue is the scoop in the chocolate powder is much larger, as you can see in the pictures. Both containers say to use a level scoop but clearly there is a discrepancy in the scoop sizes so it makes me question the nutritional info on the containers. (Am I really getting 30g protein with smaller scoop or am I getting more protein/calories with larger scoop)? I decided to use the smaller scoop that came with the vanilla. The larger scoop clearly has a line below the top but it would be difficult to fill to that line evenly. Other than the scoop differences I would recommend this protein power. It mixes very well in my blender and tastes great with almond milk. I’ve also used water (chocolate one) and that tasted good too.
