   I purchased this Organic Vegan Menopause Support Protein Powder in Vanilla Greens for my mother, and it has proven to be quite effective. This protein powder mixes effortlessly with liquids and has a delicious taste. This product is entirely natural and organic, crafted from Organic Brown Rice Protein, Organic Vanilla Bean, Organic Kale, Organic Sea Moss, Organic Wild Yam, and Organic Monk Fruit. Additionally, it’s free from soy, gluten, GMOs, estrogen, and refined sugar. Notably, this product is created by women, for women, right in Ojai, California. While the website claims it offers 15g of protein per serving, the packaging doesn’t specify the protein content per serving or the total protein in the pack, as can be observed in the enclosed photos. Nevertheless, it does provide information on Iron (3mg), Calcium (98mg), Potassium (130mg), Vitamin A (60mcg), and Vitamin K (80mcg). Overall, I’m highly satisfied with this protein powder, as it has had a positive impact on my mother’s overall health.

   I LOVE this product! It is not so sweet like many of the other protein powders I have tried and the flavor varieties are unique and of course natural! I also love that this is a woman owned company making healthy and delicious products specifically for women. For those reviewers that complain of chalky texture, here is a freebie protein shake life hack: add a handful of fresh spinach and a few iced cubes of your liquid of choice (I use coffee cubes and/or almond or coconut milk cubes). Adding these healthy thickeners makes my XO shake dreamy thick and rich. This review is for the berry pomegranate flavor but I also add the spinach and iced coffee/milk cubes to the vanilla greens and the cacao yam flavors too. Yum!

   Though this Organic Vegan Menopause Support Protein Powder Berry Pomegranate states it is from this company, says it contains protein powder, supports menopause, and states it is berry pomegranate flavored, the package doesn’t look like the one that is shown. Also, looking up the address that is on the package, which shows a close up street view of the building, there is no such company there. Though it states it contains 14 g of protein, 4 G of fiber, and only iron, calcium, and potassium in very minuscule amounts, along with vitamin D, which actually says it has 0% of the daily recommended value, I see nothing whatsoever to support menopause. This has to be the worst packaging, as it lists lots of height, but no proof whatsoever. I have no idea what is in this powder, so I will not be putting it into my body. The package isn’t as shown. There are no ingredients listed. There are very little nutrients, per the nutrients list. Address does not go to the actual company. I don’t even know if it actually contains protein, or any other nutrient or ingredient that is shown on the package… So not my favorite!

   I have been making smoothies with this protein powder for over a week. I was shocked to realize that one serving gives me a quarter of the daily recommended iron and nearly twenty percent of the daily recommended calcium. Mildly sweet and not bitter, this powder does not give me a sugar high and crash. This powder does not feel heavy on my tummy, but it keeps my digestive system moving. The best part is that it helps me meet my daily protein intake, especially helpful to me as a vegetarian. I love the variety pack because I can match the flavor with the type of smoothie I am making. The cacao wild yam is incredibly delicious with bananas. My family members keep drinking my smoothies made with XO Jacqui powder, and they love them too!

   This protein powder tastes like mild berries to me. Not too overpowering and pretty good in my opinion. It mixes up very well in almond milk and enhanced a chocolate protein shake I had recently to give it a more berry chocolate flavor. It is slightly chalky, but the powder is also very fine. It blends easily. There is a scoop in the bag but it’s at the very bottom, so I haven’t dug it out yet. I like it enough that I’ll finish the bag. However, the price at $58.00 / bag at the time of this review feels a bit high to me. So, I’d probably not purchase it later. And I’m not sure how it’s supposed to help Women’s Menopause even with those six ingredients they list. There’s no information given on the package as to how those six ingredients help. You just got to take their word for it. It feels like an expensive branding opportunity to me in a niche that may or may not be needed.

   I’ve been using protein powder for many many years as I train hard so I thought this one was interesting with the added benefits. For me one of the most important things after quality ingredients is taste. I don’t want to have to force myself to drink something I don’t care for. I got the Cacao Chocolate Wild Yam flavor and it mixed well with just a spoon and some water. The flavor, for me, was mild and not much of anything so I don’t dislike it but I don’t necessarily like it either. This will give you 15 grams of protein using 1/4 cup (22grams) which I thought was an odd measurement, they usually say 1 or 2 scoops. I am assuming the scoop included is 22 grams? It was also way down in the middle of the bag so to get it you have to stick your hand into the powder. I like that there is only 6 ingredients, that is impressive and the total sugars are only 1 gram with no added sugar and only 4 grams of carbs. I may continue to use this just because it’s not filled with all types of chemicals and will give me the protein I need.

   Alone with no additional mixings, it’s a little on the watery side and slightly gritty. The taste is fine, I added a few additions, it turns into a pretty good meal replacement. I used coconut milk and just the powder to begin with. It had a slight aftertaste to it and not too much of a cacao taste, but then I added a banana and some natural peanut butter and it was pretty good. Definitely lasted me through the morning and into the afternoon hunger wise. I did not make any larger shake than what it called for and I did add ice and a little cinnamon and natural vanilla as well. It was quite good once I added a few flavorings to it. I have to kind of tweak it though as the calories could add up pretty quickly on this. But I was impressed that I was able to last through the morning and into the afternoon on just this one shake.

    This variety pack of protein powders comes in three different flavor profiles. All of them appear to have really simple and clean ingredients. In fact, there are only six ingredients per package, so it’s a very simplified approach to a protein supplement. The protein source is organic brown rice powder for all three, and they are all sweetened with monk fruit. There are some intriguing ingredients which I have never tried before, such as chasteberry. I ordered this trio set primarily for my mother, however I sampled these as well. The flavor profiles take some getting used to. The cacao and wild yam blend was decent. However the vanilla and greens blend is very bland. The powders are all very finely ground, and although they mix and dissolve well, they also end up coating the spoon. My mother described the taste and texture as chalky. I don’t think these are something we would reorder, but I do appreciate the simple approach and the apparent good quality of the ingredients.

    There could be more monkfruit and cacao in this for sure. It has the slightest taste of cacao and is only sweey enough to cover up the mild bitterness. It mixes easily and well with water.     I really like the way I feel when I make my XO Jacqui shakes for breakfast. They’re satisfying and my energy stays consistent until lunch and my mood is more stable all day long. I also have less bloating – yay! As a vegetarian who tends toward eating vegan, I sometimes struggle with breakfast and getting enough protein. I love that these shake powders are food based, clean, and organic. They’re not sweet at all, which I appreciate because I don’t want a sugary taste. I definitely recommend shakes versus drinking them plain with a vegan milk. I always throw in some spinach with my fruit to get extra greens in my day too.

    This particular product is a small sized sample pack of all three flavors. It’s perfect to figure out which flavor you like or for traveling.

    I have been using a competing brand of protein powder that, like this one, was “created by women for women.” This product seemed like it would be another decent option, and it had slightly fewer calories per serving. Also, I liked the fact that it was unsweetened, which is my preference. However, I have used it a couple of times now, and unfortunately, the taste isn’t palatable enough for me to consider making a repeat purchase. I ordered the “vanilla greens” flavor, but I can’t detect any taste of vanilla. Both the aroma and taste are blander and slightly chalky. The powder is thicker compared to others I have used, and it definitely needs to be combined with sufficient liquid in order for it to blend well. I most often used it in smoothies, and regardless of the ingredients I added, there was always a slightly “off” taste. Since taste is clearly a personal preference, I am not rating this item less than four stars. One other thing to note though, is that this powder is definitely a costlier option than others I have used. At the time of purchasing, a 23.21 ounce bag, which contains (30) 1/4 cup servings cost $58.

    This protein powder comes in a sealed bag. It has a well marked list of six ingredients – rice protein, chasteberry, monkfruit, cacao, wild yam, and beetroot. It claims – “Stay youthful and energetic with our Cacao Wild Yam Protein Powder. Its blend of six organic, science-backed ingredients help maintain bone density, muscle strength, balanced hormones, and quality sleep during menopause.” The powder is rather chalky and powdery and when mixed with milk as directed on the package it isn’t very good. It helps to hide it in a smoothie or in food like oatmeal or something that has more flavor. The nutrition facts on the package lists one serving contains 15 grams of protein and a modest 4 vitamins and minerals – iron 15%, calcium 3%, potassium 2%, magnesium 5%. I’m not sure how a product can produce such fabulous results when it provides less then a daily vitamin. The protein it provides is less then one container of yogurt. At the current price it is approximately $2 per serving. If you need to add protein to your diet, figure out if this is the way you should do that.

    This is an organic vegan protein powder using brown rice protein with 14 grams of protein and small amounts of iron, calcium and potassium with chasteberry, blueberry, pomegranate, beet root and monk fruit. The powder doesn’t have a lot of flavor and it’s very chalky and has a weird off-putting odor and flavor when mixed with water (it dissolved okay). I tried adding it to a fruit and yogurt smoothie and that improved the flavor but it leaves a bitter after taste and it’s still chalky. I don’t like the taste and texture of it at all.

    So I have a lot of good stuff to say about these. These are menopause support protein powders. Your three different kinds are cacao wild yam, vanilla greens, and berry pomegranate. A couple cool things I noticed is the little quotes on the bottom, which I thought was neat, fun facts, and then on the back of each one is handwritten the enjoy by date, thought that was kind of nice. These are made by women for women and they’re based out of California. Everything in here is pretty organic and to give you an example of the back of vanilla greens it is six ingredients now all these are organic: brown rice protein, vanilla bean, kale, sea moss, wild yam, and monk fruit and then the directions given is to shake or blend a one quarter cup protein powder with 8 ounces of water or plant-based milk. Now I had my first one with water and I did not enjoy it but when I made it with almond milk, I enjoyed it so a couple things I would recommend is I would do it with a plant-based product. These are vegan, they are made in the United States of America. They are all natural, soy free, GMO free, estrogen free and refined sugar-free. Important for a woman going through menopause. These are important things to really keep in mind because your diet makes a big difference. They are a little chalky, but I did notice on the site. It actually recommends adding it to an already made smoothie so I think if you did it that way you would get all the benefits plus you wouldn’t get any of the chalkiness. But that’s personal opinion. I do recommend it I think it’s five stars I think it’s perfect for any woman going through menopause.

    I’ve tried many protein powders but never a rice based product. I’ve had three terrible days on this formula of constipation and gas. All the while mixing it with huge amounts of greens, vegetables and fruit.
    Normally if I drink a green smoothie every day I’m regular and comfortable. But that’s not the case when I add in this product.
    I wanted to love this but unfortunately it’s not for everyone.

    When you open and close the bag be careful because the powder creates a lot of dust. The protein powder is like the consistency of body powder or flour. It barely has any smell and on its own has a mild vanilla taste. It mixed well in liquid(I used cold water), but it didn’t taste that great and it was not gritty but felt funny in my mouth. Instructions say to mix with water or a plant based milk but I think it would be better tolerated in a smoothie. Directions and ingredients are on the back of the package.

    I am prematurely post-menopausal at 49. Peri-menopause started for me at 43 (tubal ligation initiated). Since it happened so young, I am always looking for products to prolong the start of aging, osteoporosis (which runs in my family) and any negative hormonal issues. I was back and forth on whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. I think it is overpriced and doesn’t contain any miraculous ingredients to justify the cost. I decided on 4 stars because it does taste pretty good (not great) and I do feel great after drinking it. Due to the price, I don’t think I will be ordering this again.

    I wouldn’t reorder. There was no nutrition info in the listing, and I ordered anyways. However, there isn’t enough protein and too many carbs in this protein to make it worthwhile for me.     Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this powder supplement. I removed a star from my review because I haven’t had any noticeable improvement in hot flashes, which is the only peri symptom I’ve experienced so far. However, I have noticed less bloating since I’ve been drinking this supplement the last two weeks. The powder is very easy to mix in a shaker cup, even without the metal springy ball inside. The drink has a pleasant vanilla taste that isn’t too sweet.

    This XO Jacqui Vanilla Greens Blend has a smooth, natural vanilla flavor. It has greens, but I don’t taste those. The color is not pure white though and doesn’t look as appetizing in a clear glass. The powder mixes easily using a handheld mixer. I like that a scoop is included to make it easier to measure. I tried mixing the powder with just water, and it was a little mild but still drinkable. Then, I tried it with milk, and this brought out a little sweetness and improved the taste. I like that this has clean ingredients, and I felt like it gave me some steady energy after drinking it. Recommend.
