   I bought this product at a time when I still had a container of my previous whey protein, so when it came time to open this product a few months later, I discovered that the seal had been damaged. That is, after I finally was able to open the lid, which was extremely difficult to open! Since the time to return the product through bestproteinpowder4women.net had elapsed, I had to contact Nutricost’s support line to get a refund. Candice, the support rep, has definitely been dragging her heels to give me a refund. At the time of this review, it has been nearly a week and I still haven’t heard back from her. It is important to note that in one of her emails, she completely downplayed the safety of the lid and broken seal, claiming that “… sometimes the reaction can be too aggressive and scorch the seal. This does not harm the capsules or effect the nutritional value of them”. I will never buy this product again, and if you value your safety, I suggest looking at other whey protein products.

   First off this product has a very good taste which to me is pretty important because I’ve had to choke others down and thats not a great way to start every morning. It seems to be just as good of quality as all of the other top brands and trust me I’ve tried all of them over the years. I’m going to give this one a 7 in the mixing category though as you can see by yhe video its about 90ish percent mixed after 30 seconds. This is completely on par with almost every other brand and to be honest only one I’ve ever used did a noticeably better job of blending than this one. I did have 3grams of creatine in there too if you noticed any white powder that didn’t come from the protein. If I had to give this a rating I’d give it a 4.6, its overall great and I’ll probably continue to buy this one as long as the price stays affordable.    I have been buying this protein for several months now after a very sharp increase in the brand I used to purchase. I shopped for several other options and tried many of them and finally landed on the Nutricost based on a combination of price, protein quantity, and relative lack of extra preservatives, fillers, or artificial flavors. This protein still has some of those, but not nearly as much as some other proteins on the market. I buy these using Subscribe and Save getting 6 containers every 6 months so I can take advantage of the 15% discount, which makes these surprisingly affordable. I love the taste and it’s an easy way to add some extra protein into my day. The containers always come well packaged, and I’ve never had an issue with any arriving damaged. As long as the price stays in this general range, I plan to keep buying it and, if you’re looking for a protein, I encourage you to give it a try.

    Man I tell ya what I love this brand they always make good products and they make everything. I recommend getting unflavored because theres no sucralose in it which is fake sugar and can mess with your stomach.     So I month ago I bought the container to the right because I learned that you don’t actually get 25g of protein in the scoop. You get the a percentage of that and the formula is to divide grams of the protein by the grams of the scoop. So that gave me 75%. Upon finishing up that container I went ahead and purchased and opened a new one and immediately noticed the calorie difference which isn’t much but it made me wonder what changed in literally a month. The percentage in the new container is 67% which is concerning. Now you get more fluff because it’s getting more popular. Don’t know that I’ll purchase this again. I think it mixes great in water and milk and tastes great but Nutricost is supposed to be cost effective but doesn’t mean you lower the quality and reasoning behind why it’s such a great powder, not happy about that.

    I’ve purchased different protein powders from many different brands this past year since i needed an easy way to get a bunch of protein in, and i didn’t really feel like eating 10 chicken breasts a day. I like supplementing with whey protein, while still getting some protein from whole foods. Balance is key. The first protein powder I ever bought was Nutricost, it was chocolate peanut butter, and that flavor is still the best I’ve had. I also tried the strawberry milkshake one, and honestly I think strawberry flavored anything is not very great, and that applied to Nutricost’s as well. This time I got vanilla, and by far this is the best vanilla i’ve had yet and I’ve tried about 3 from different brands. What I like most isn’t the flavor, though, it’s the simplicity. Other protein powders tend to have a lot of ingredients that are questionable and Nutricost keeps it simple in comparison. I value that a lot. The price is another great point, it’s not that easy finding the same simplicity, flavor, and overall quality for the price Nutricost Whey Concentrate is offered at. All in all I’d recommend Nutricost if you’re looking for an affordable option that keeps it real with ingredients. I will likely continue to try other brands every once in a while just because it’s kind of fun, but I’ll probably stick to buying Nutricost most often. 10/10!

    I love this protein powder. I followed advice to get unflavored, not vanilla, and it was a great decision. With 25g of protein per scoop, this goes great into my overnight oats and smoothies and I have found that it blends easily (no thick chunks), and doesn’t change the texture or flavor in a negative way. If I HAD to be picky, I’d day it makes my smoothies a little more frothy, but the taste is seriously the same. I’m a runner so I’ve been trying to make sure I’m retaining muscle as I’ve been losing weight. I’ll come back in a few months to see how effective it’s been. You’ll find that it is a tad messy and that the powder can tend to fly around a little but, but nothing a paper towel can’t fix. Overall, super pleased with this purchase! AND – one serving of this is about half the size (but same protein content!) as more expensive brands! So you’re getting a bang for your buck and don’t have to force down more powder than needed. And there’s no extra gunk, just pure whey protein! Very pleased.

    Taste exaclty like chocolate-peanut-butter, specially if mixed with milk. My boys loved it, for me was too sweet so I usually mix with more water/milk than recommended.     As I just opened my 10th 5lbs container, I’ll leave a review in the occasion of the milestone. mostly, what motivated me to write a review was the 9th container that came with a “defective” product and upset a lot my patience, took a toll on my diet and deeply jeopardized the trust on the brand (will be explained below). THE NEEDS: having to take protein shakes at least twice a day, 7 days a week, flavor is the Achilles heel of all of them. Almost all whey protein brands and flavors available on the market have a decent to delicious flavor in my opinion, apart from just a few minor exceptions that tastes awful. but drinking it consistently at least twice a day, every single day for years in a row changes the perspective on flavor. a product that is delicious may quickly start to saturate the palate and turn into an unbearable experience. after hopping through several flavors from several brands, I landed first on Isopure brand, which I consumed roughly 40lbs along the time. it’s a great product for sure. at a given moment in my life, my need have changed and I was forced to keep 24/7 pristine plain natural blood work lab results in order to constantly prove 100% perfect natural health condition (for reasons that I do not want/need to disclose here). at this point, keep taking Isopure products was completely out of consideration as all of them are enriched with high levels of several vitamins and minerals, which makes it a great product, but still on the most expensive side of the whey available in the market and no longer suitable for my needs, as excessive vitamins and minerals would be caught and fail my blood work. just like the vitamins and minerals, I had to stop with creatine and beta-alanine (that mistakenly fails blood work for kidney and liver malfunction, respectively). so on my new diet journey I had to find a new whey protein that was good enough, without any added vitamins and minerals, cost effective and the most important, tasty and capable of resisting the test of time. after running through several brands again, I found out that most supermarket branded whey proteins (e.g. walmart, wegmans, giant, aldi, hy-vee) are on the cheapest side of the wheys, usually not enriched with anything and tasty, but only wegmans passed the test of time keeping tasty after several shakes over months. but I also needed to have a reliable source of whey on the contiguous 48 states, as I needed to travel nationwide constantly and wegmans is pretty much a wealthy neighborhood upper east coast chain, not available in the rest of the country. so I was left with anything sold online that could be shipped nationwide and my 1st source was bestproteinpowder4women.net. on my journey through bestproteinpowder4women.net whey proteins, I finally landed on Nutricost vanilla flavored. Nutricost is noticeably one of the cheapest supplements brand in the market awarding 1st place for most of their products and 2nd or 3rd place loosing only for a minimal fraction of pennies. their whey is good enough for non professional athletes like me, with absolutely no addition of vitamins and minerals, with an amazing flavor that on the edge of 50lbs already consumed has proven its excellence. their vanilla flavor combines very well with water, milk, breakfast cereals, cake mixes and almost every fruit you could name to prepare a smoothie on a blender (being my favorites the mango and peach smoothies). not the easiest to mix on water or milk if you only have a spoon or shake, but for sure fairly easy. and when compared to the price of the brands with vitamins and minerals enriched whey proteins (e.g. Isopure), Nutricost is still the best from the point of view that you can purchase any vitamins and minerals supplement available on the market, in addition to the “plain” Nutricost whey protein, that would better fit your supplementation needs and still keep it cheaper than buying a whey already enriched that hardly will suit your supplementation needs. THE INFAMOUS 9TH CONTAINER: Nutricost’s traditional Vanilla flavor is supposed to be sweetened. the only unsweetened whey protein that Nutricost sells is also unflavored (that I never bought). but I received as my 9th 5lb container an unsweetened Vanilla flavored whey protein. at that time I though “is this a defective batch or their new formula from now on?” and this doubt wasn’t answered till I’ve ordered the 10th container and find out that it came sweetened again. and the toll the unsweetened whey took on me was gaining 8lbs of weight in 1 month as I had to sweeten 5lbs of whey with sugar, making me to drink almost 2 years worth of sugar in a single month, as I wasn’t willing to reduce the respective calories on the rest of my already very restrictive diet. I could’ve used artificial 0 cal sweeteners for sure, but at the risk of unintentionally adding too much artificial sweetener and make it taste like battery acid, I preferred to be safe with sugar than sorry with sweetener. it was for sure disappointing, to say the least. this experience put a very big concern about Nutricost quality control and honesty, given that one of their containers came “defective” but the 8th, 9th and 10th containers are all marked with the same expiration date 09/2026 and same LOT#23091348, even coming from 3 different bestproteinpowder4women.net warehouses (nearby Baltimore MD, Daytona Beach FL and Lincoln NE), bought each one in different months and clearly having a different batch on the 9th container. if Nutricost ever have interest on find out what happened, I kept the 8th, 9th and 10th containers, being the 8th empty and contaminated with both 8th and 9th container products, the 9th with 3-4 scoops of leftover preserved and not mixed/contaminated, and the 10th full (opened 1h ago for taste testing). if Nutricost or any representative ever get in touch I’ll update it here, if not updated is because I didn’t get contacted.

    I add this protein powder to my yogurt, coffee, soup etc. Any time I need a boost in my protein for the day.
    I had gastric bypass back in 2012 and used a similar product then. Personally I prefer the unflavored because you can add it to so many things and it doesn’t flavor them. For me , I find the option to add it to many more items, being unflavored exceptional.
    My doctor recently told me I wasn’t getting enough protein in my diet. This is the easiest way for me to insure I’m getting my recommended daily protein.
    The price is right also. Considering so many of the protein powders are so expensive.
    The only drawback if you consider it a drawback is that it will slightly discolor a clear item. Like broth for instance. For myself, not an issue.

    I ordered this to help increase my protein intake before and after spine surgery. I have sensitive taste buds, so finding something I could tolerate has been difficult. I can not speak on the effectiveness on muscle building and strengthening, or any other reason outside of using it to promote healing as per my doctor’s suggestion. As for flavor, I really wish there was truly an unflavored powder. It is similar to powder milk, which I can’t stand. The smell is similar. For most, this won’t be an issue. I’m just sensitive to flavors. My only mixing options are juice, water or milk. I don’t do shakes or smoothies. Once I added some strawberry milk flavoring, this became tolerable for myself. I realize there are flavored powders, but they all made me gag. I feel like this made my milk “thick”. Also, it didn’t completely dissolve. I stirred and mixed for over 5 minutes (maybe that is why my milk didn’t seem as smooth). I ended up just scooping out the little chunks on top. This does reduce the amount of protein, in some way I’m sure. But isn’t a big deal for myself. Overall, I do not regret this purchase. Being extremely picky, this suits my needs and makes it a little easier to consume more protein to help promote healing after surgery.
