Tastes great which impels my using it more. A bit more pricy for the flavored kind but plain, I just will not consume it as often.

This protein powder has a fairly enjoyable milk chocolate flavor. It’s only 50 calories per serving, which I appreciate, and the amount of sugar in it is pretty low. It’s sweetened with stevia, which I’m very used to, so that particular aspect of the flavor profile didn’t come as a surprise to me. It mixes easily with just a spoon, but you could also use a shaker bottle, or put it in a blender for a smoothie if you wanted. I’ve mainly been mixing it with just plain water, because I’m watching my calorie intake, but it could work well with milk, too.
The only issue I really have with this product is that I wish the actual amount of protein per serving were higher. I’m used to seeing values of 20 grams or more in the protein powders I usually take, but this only comes in at 10 grams per scoop. However, the scoop size is relatively small at just two tablespoons, so I have just been doubling up on the servings size to meet my needs. That being said, it still tastes pretty good, and it’s easy to use. I also appreciate the simple and straightforward list of ingredients without a lot of additives. I’m giving this four stars for now based on my experience so far with this product. If I should have any further insights to share after finishing the container, I’ll be sure to update this review.

The chocolate flavor is pretty good. I’ve had some chocolate protein drinks that are closer to carob or chicory, but this one gets the flavor pretty spot on. I wish it were creamier, which it might be with adding milk instead of water, but I wanted to also keep calories down.
I mix this drink in a shaker bottle and it does take quite a bit of shaking to get it fully mixed to the point where the drink isn’t gritty. In my first couple days, I did notice an aftertaste from the sweetener. I was able to mask this by adding in extra flavoring. I like mixing in peanut butter powder for a little extra protein for a Reese’s protein drink. I also will add in some instant coffee for a mocha shake.
Recommended.

I love Nutricost’s Milk Chocolate Soy Protein Isolate–it’s been a lifesaver since developing a dairy allergy and needing a high quality alternative to whey.
That said, this 2lb “Milk Chocolate Flavored” version is noticeably different from the 1lb Milk Chocolate version (which is sweetened with sucralose). The flavor here, sweetened with stevia, just doesn’t compare. It’s drinkable, and the price is good, but the taste is more like a 4–5/10, whereas the sucralose version is a solid 9/10–the best chocolate protein I’ve had, even including whey based powders I used before my allergy.
I really hope Nutricost keeps the sucralose version around. It’s the clear winner and honestly deserves to be available in a 2lb tub as well.

I have been getting the Naturade Total Soy ,It wasn’t available this time. I am trying the product above and don’t like it. The texture and taste are not as good, don’t think I will buy again. I have used the Total Soy for years.

Nice protein alternative to whey, pea and other types of protein powders, this one uses Soy protein isolate, the chocolate flavor is tasty but a bit flat (when using one scoop), this powder mixes easily in a protein shaker or a blender (I tried both), I like to mix it with a bit of vanilla ice cream, some ice cubes, and coconut milk, and it turns out pretty delicious, each serving provides 10g of protein, 230 mg sodium, 2g of sugar plus some iron (1.8 mg), and potassium (100 mg), the 2 lb container is resealable and provides 55 servings!!!, plus includes a scoop for easy measurement, so far it has agreed with me perfectly with no stomach issues or side effects.
Other than that, I appreciate that it’s stevia sweetened (with no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors), and I also like simple ingredient list (Soy protein isolate, cocoa powder (processed with alkali), natural flavors, salt, and stevia), plus it’s also non-gmo, GMP compliant facility, animal free product, and its third party tested, made in the USA (with globally sourced ingredients), I recommend.
