Garden of Life Organic Vegan Protein Powder 22g & Fiber Supplement 30 Servings Bundle
Reviewer Verified Buyer –
This tastes pretty good. Chocolate is a good accompaniment to pea protein as it covers the earthy taste effectively. Mixing was fine–no major clumping. Texture is similar to most other pea protein powders.
Protein content as a percentage of total serving size is 69%, which is not bad for a pea based protein powder. If I gross up the serving to my usual 30 grams of protein, there are 180 calories. That’s roughly 20 to 50 calories higher than what I would consider “good” for both whey and pea protein powders. Also, as with many pea protein powders, the sodium level is a little elevated. The ingredient list is quite clean. The organic ingredients are of no consequence to me but I know it will be an important selling point to some.
I think the price per serving is a little high, but I would consider this small tub a good “tester” to see if you like it before you buy larger sizes.

I’ve been using pea protein for a while, and this is hands down the best I’ve had. The chocolate flavor is rich but not overly sweet, and it mixed effortlessly with almond milk in my shaker bottle with no clumps. There’s just the slightest graininess (which is typical for pea protein), but it’s way less noticeable than other brands I’ve tried.
The ingredients are pretty simple, but just a heads up: it does have stevia in it, which I personally love, but I know some people have issues with it. I’ve been using Nutricost products for over 10 years, and I’ve always been happy with their quality, so this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommend if you’re into pea protein!

Very tasty, I did my research and I found that a lot of pea protein contains a lot of sugar but not this one, it has a pleasant sweetness but is made with all natural stevia, so it’s good for you. I add it to my smoothie in the morning and the chocolate flavor is very good. It has a bit of a grainy texture but it’s not bad; it blends well. I really like how it compliments the other ingredients of my smoothie for a good overall protein boost with good flavor. I haven’t used up the whole container full, but it states it has approximately 16 servings, which is about $1.68 per serving.

I found this chocolate flavored pea protein to be on the sweet side with a very mild chocolate taste – it’s not too overpowering. It’s not as rich or as chocolatey as some chocolate protein powders.
It has 20g of protein per serving (29g scoop) and has 120 calories per serving – not bad. The pea protein blends well with water, or almond milk and is not noticeably gritty.
It’s a plant-based, vegan, and dairy-free, so if you are looking for something less “cowy” then this is a pretty good alternative to dairy based protein powders.

I am a big fan of Nutricost protein powders in general and use a lot of their whey concentrate powders. I am also a long time user of Orgain pea powder protein. So this new pea powder product from Nutricost is very interesting for me. Although the ingredients list is somewhat different the overall flavor and mouth feel of the two powders is similar. Both those issue are so subjective it’s hard to put hard results on it. But I would happily use either. The real issue is bang for the buck and cost. On that basis the Nutricost Organic Pea Protein Powder is ahead, as it provide 20g of protein for a scoop of 29gr, whereas the Orgain provides 21gr of protein for a scoop of 50gr. In other words the Nutricost Organic Pea Protein Powder provides more protein per gram/ounce than the Orgain. So smart shoppers will look at either as roughly equal in quality while looking at what the price of delivered protein is rather than the price per gross product ounce. The Nutricost Organic Pea Protein Powder is a good product and protein dense and I am going to add this to the menu.

Full disclosure: I’m not a fan of protein powders in general, but they’re a great way to pump up the protein content in smoothies. The true test, however, is to drink it just in water, so the fruit doesn’t mask the taste. I mixed a scoop of this with boiling water and a splash of half-and-half, and it was delicious, without the weird aftertaste you get from other brands. I do think it smells a little like peas–of course it does, it’s pea protein–but that doesn’t translate into the flavor. I liked that this brand is sweetened with Stevia and has ingredients you can actually pronounce. Great value and perfect if you’re watching your sugar. 120 calories per serving, 3g fat, 2g carbs (1g of which is fiber), 0g of sugar, and a whopping 20g of protein.

Nutricost Is a American Brand that I have come to Like and Trust over the Years to provide Quality Products at fair Prices.
This zero sugar Chocolate Flavored Organic Pea Protein lives up to my Expectations. Each of The 16 servings in the Canister provide 120 calories with 20g protein ,3g fat, 2g total carbs, 1g fiber. It mixed well using the recommended 1 scoop into 10oz of plain water in my shaker cup. The Chocolate Flavor was mild and tasted good and about what I expected. The overall flavor can be enhanced by using Milk instead of water but I prefer to test and review with plain water. This Protein powder supports My Keto Diet Lifestyle very well and I used it in Baking with good results as well.
