   I ordered this because it contains no sugar and has all recognizable ingredients. I do wish they had used allulose instead of xylitol, as some new research about xylitol is concerning, but other than that, the ingredients are good. My son loves the flavor and says it reminds him of matcha boba tea. He mixes it into milk alone but it’s also great mixed into smoothies, adding a yummy creamy sweetness.

   This is a great protein product. I’ve prepared it according to the instructions to get a baseline of its taste; I did use milk instead of water. As for the taste it reminds me of a matcha milk shake. It’s not exactly the taste as what you would get at Starbucks and isn’t as sweet as well. It does have a little sweetness, but not overpowering. Other than green tea, there’s no weird aftertaste, and it does mix easily. My next time making this, I’ll throw it in a blender with milk, ice, and protein ice cream to make a less guilty treat. The good: -Made in the US -It does taste like matcha -It’s loaded with protein and amino acids -Low in sodium -Uses natural sweeteners The “bad” -At 160 calories is on normal to high side of calories for protein powders. Not an issue if you need more calories, but there are other brands out there that are in the low 100’s calorie wise. -It’s almost 2025, and the protein scoop should be secured somewhere on top

   I personally don’t love the flavor of this. It tastes pretty bitter, and I had a hard time finding things to mix with it that I enjoyed the flavor of. I found this was best doing a mock green smoothie that has stuff like mangoes in it to sweeten it because otherwise it’s not very good. That being said I’m not a big tea person. I usually like a good matcha latte so maybe I’m just spoiled with having sweet versions of matcha and this is definitely not that. As protein it’s fine. I drink it cause I know I need it, but I don’t enjoy it. I think if you like matcha though you would be happy with this. It comes with a decent amount for the price and I would recommend it if you’re a big matcha fan.

   This NOW Sports Nutrition, Whey Protein, 24 G with BCAAs, Matcha Powder, 2-Pound container is sweeter than expected. I think it’s the vanilla and stevia that’s added that makes it seem so sweet. I’m a fan of matcha so this will be nice and it’s relatively low in carbs at 9g per serving.

   The taste is good, though a little more subtle than some other flavored protein powders I’ve tried. It’s not overly sweet, which I appreciate. It mixes easily into smoothies and shakes without clumping.

   Working out for the last 3-ish years, I get tired of protein flavors about halfway through the jugs. This was a nice switch up from the usual chocolates and vanillas I alternate between, and it has slightly more protein than my usual brand which is always a plus! Mixing it with water leaves it a bit clumpy unless I’m shaking it for a while, but with milk it’s creamy and really good. It’s like an after-workout treat.

   I was a little leery if a matcha-flavored protein powder would be for me and I was pleasantly proven wrong! This mixed well with 8 oz. of milk and tasted similar to matcha latte’s I’ve had from local coffee places, though much healthier with the added protein. It mixed easily enough in my shaker bottle and tasted great! It’s a nice flavor to break up the usual chocolates and vanillas out there. Definitely would recommend for anyone who likes matcha. Not overly sweet either, which is a definite bonus!

    The protein is definitely something that’s worth looking into. I was kinda tired of the vanilla, chocolate, or unflavored stuff so I got this and it’s been pretty decent. The taste is definitely something and it’s overall pretty good. I’d definitely give this a try especially if you’re a fan of matcha.

    I’ve had worse protein powders for sure. This stuff is a bit powdery, but it mixes well in a blender, which is the only way I mix protein powders. Not a fan of the taste. There are some nasty ones out there, but this stuff is passable.
