   Ok, I’ve been a fairly regular user of NOW supplements of one kind or another and they are always high quality and reasonably priced. They have been around a long, long time and that counts for something. So I was excited to see a collagen product from them. We take the usual “standard” in collagen for years and it really gives noticeable changes to your skin and nails and even joints. And most are priced in the same range as this product. So what sets this apart? Well, they include marine collagen and chicken bone broth collagen which makes this a more rounded and inclusive product. They also include grape seed extract, but it’s not mentioned in the ad, so I don’t know if there is a synergistic reason for it. Grape seed extract supports brain and heart health as well as other things . And there is vitamin C . The added things are a bonus, but not required in a collagen product and you may get them from your diet already. What is different is that they don’t include a scoop as most other brands do. I would like to applaud them if it is for lowering the amount of plastic that ends up in the landfill, as I have a dozen old scoops anyway in my drawer. But seeing the large plastic bottle ( just like most collagen products) that is actually less than half full ( see my photo ) tells me that this is not the reason. I do applaud companies that use a bag type packaging, at least for refills . But all that aside, this is a multi collagen blend suggesting 2 1/2 tablespoons a day. The quality is great and it’s packaged in the USA and lab tested . The price is also good, so by reputation alone this is a good competitor in the collagen market .

   Zero stars! This product claims their unflavored is tasteless. They severely misrepresent their product. I put it in my tea and it was foamy and really dark. I choked my tea down. I tried it in water with flavor sticks. It was better than my tea but I am done with this nasty tasting “UNFLAVORED” collegian protein. I can’t express how horrible this product taste! I went back to the brand I know is tasteless. Sincerely dissatisfied with this product. They don’t stand behind their product because it non refundable!

   A huge bottle, but as with many other brands, not filled all the way. I’ve been taking collagen religiously, and I do believe it’s been quite beneficial for my hair, skin, and nails (along with biotin and others). This one is a great way to take in collagen with a smoothie. I put a scoop or two of them into my green or berry smoothies, and tada. It doesn’t ruin the taste of any smoothie, and makes it quite foamy when mixed using a blender. Overall, as with many other supplements from this company, the cost performance in terms of overall quality vs price is great in my opinion 🙂

   This Multi Collagen Protein Powder from NOW is as shown in the listing here. The jar features all the important information on it, such as what types of collagens are contained. Keep in mind there is no scoop enclosed within the jar and that the serving suggestion is 13.1g. The serving suggestion also reads this is about, “2.5 Level Tablespoons”. I find it better to weigh powders as they tend to settle, so the lack of scoop doesn’t bother me. I don’t trust scooping powders as an accurate measurement, so I weigh things like this anyway. Each 13.1g scoop serving contains: – 100mg of Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid) – 11mg of Hydrolyzed Collagen – 50mg of Grape Seed extract The Multi Collagen powder contains Bovine, Chicken Bone Broth, and Fish skin which provides Type I, II, and III Collagen. This Collagen Powder is fine, and mixes well. It’s not flavored, so it’s recommended to mix it with 8oz of a beverage. I mix this with my morning smoothie/shake and it blends in there just fine. Overall, this Multi Collagen powder from NOW mixes well, and goes down fine. No stomach issues, or anything. No complaints.

   I have been using collagen to help relieve arthritis pain in my feet. Previous brand was working well for the pain but seemed to be rancid my last 2 orders. So I tried something new. I have yet to see if this helps with pain but I am concerned about the color. The previous product I tried made a clear liquid and was tasteless., whereas this one turns an orange brown color and smells and tastes like dog food. I don’t think I can finish it.

   My first reaction to opening it up was “ooh, that’s a really fine micronized powder.” It didn’t have a strong smell or anything that would make you revolt or gag… but it IS collagen peptides.. It’s not flavored, which does NOT mean “no flavor.” It just means it doesn’t have any ADDED flavorings. And let me tell you, the first time you drink it, you’ll realize that that “unflavored” powder definitely has a flavor. It’ll likely make you gag. The smell isn’t particularly potent, but the aftertaste can be. I STRONGLY recommended putting 2.5 tablespoons into a strong flavored drink. My drink (lemonade Crystal Light), I choose to make it extra rich (less water added to the mix.) It actually mixes VERY well. There is no clumping or anything weird, often, just swirling it around is sufficient, given time. The product results after mixing: Color: 4/5 The yellow lemonade turned darker… Sadly, it now looked like morning pee. With the slight odor (and again, it wasn’t strong, just different). Taste: Either a 1/5 stars, or a 3/5. It gets 1/5 if you just taste it without mixing with anything, or anything not strong enough to mask it. It’s just HORRIBLE. Describing the flavor is unfair. It’s just bad. Go with that. But, as mentioned in the title, it is UNFLAVORED, not “no flavor.” It did NOT taste like it smelled (halla-freaking-loo-yah for that)… it was more like someone had powdered bone or marrow into the drink (for those who used to take bone meal, you’ll remember it). It certainly isn’t something I’ll go “Oh, man, I can’t wait for this!” but the nasty horrible aftertaste goes away quickly, especially if you have a chaser drink and swish around/gargle. The taste of unfavored gelatin isn’t going to stop me from drinking it, but just be aware, it’s pretty potent. Definitely… DEFINITELY put this in something to mask the flavor. You won’t regret it. The only thing I regret is tasting it directly from the powder. I had to gargle with Crystal Light afterward. LOL Mixability is 5/5 stars for sure. It just dissolved so easily! Very impressed. Much easier than any whey protein I’ve ever used. (this is a protein, and I expected it to behave the same way… it’s much better!) Smell 3/5 stars. Not awesome, but definitely not the horrible smell I expected based on other reviews. However, I’m a man… and my schnoz isn’t nearly up to the smelling capability of most women. This is something to note if you have a sensitive sniffer. The smell really comes out when you taste it (same olphactory nerves), and you’ll know it if you drink it without enough masking taste! Overall drinkability 3/5. Easily went down, and but definitely expect an aftertaste… But it quickly goes away, which is good.. Last thing I wanted to was to taste that in my mouth 4 hours later. If that were the case, this product would get a 1-star for sure. As for the health benefits. I don’t think anecdotal evidence will help you. There are plenty of real science studies out there that show the benefits of collagen peptides. I’m taking it, because at 48, my joints are starting to not feel great when i stand up. Looking for a little support for the overall health. If my skin and nails also benefit, extra bonus. 🙂 Cheers!

    This is by far the best collagen I have ever tried! Not just through taste but with its ingredients as well. It even have bone broth, fish skin, vitamin C and grape seed extract which are all very beneficial. And the good thing is this is packaged and quality tested in USA making it really reputable. In terms of taste, it is unflavored making it really versatile so you can use it from drinking mix to cooking and baking. There is no aftertaste and it does not change the natural flavor of what your mixing it with like my strawberry smoothies in the morning. My only concern was the packaging was quite big compare to its content as it’s only halfway although they did mention that it is sold by weight not by volume, but they should have use smaller container to reduce waste even its recyclable. Overall I highly recommend it for excellent quality, and affordability!

They have been in business for over 50 years, and are well-known and respected for providing supplements made from high-quality ingredients. This collagen is the powdered, unflavored form, NOT in capsules. It can be added to liquids such as water, tea, coffee, orange juice, milk, etc. It can also be added to foods such as soups, oatmeal, even mixed in with your omelet or scrambled eggs. It’s also very good in smoothies!

    80% of my health and fitness products are from the NOW Brand. I have never been disappointed by this company.

    I’ve been using this supplement 3-4 times a week for 2 weeks and I have noticed a slight improvement in my knee and joint function and pain.
    Therefore I know with continuous use there is much improvement to be anticipated.
    There is a slight bitterness if mixed with only water and no flavor or bitterness with mixed with my tea or fruit juices/ smoothies.

    I’ve used this for 2 weeks so I could give a fair review. I purchased this one because it was ranked one of the better ones, with a middle ground price.
    I use this in my loaded teas. Even though it says it’s unflavored it does give a distinctive flavor and smell to my tea. With really flavorful, fruity teas it’s not noticeable but if I make a tea where the flavors aren’t as powerful, it gives it an odd flavor. Not enough to be disgusting but enough that it’s not truly enjoyable. Since I’ve only used it 2 weeks, I really can’t give a review on the bodily benefits; I haven’t seen a noticeable difference.
    I doubt I will try this one again. I may spend a little more amd try one that was rated a little higher.

    NOW has always been among my favorite brand for ordering supplements. I was curious how their collagen powder would be since I have never tried a collagen powder product from this brand before. Here are my thoughts: I will say that I do experience a little bit of a clumping issues when I add this to cold water but this is pretty typical of collagen powders. If you plan on adding this to smoothies or cold drinks, you might want to use some type of blender to break up the clumps a little easier. I like that this powder does not have any detectable taste. It doesn’t taste meaty or add any type of flavor to whatever you are adding it to. It pretty much just blends in to the flavors of your juice, smoothie or whatever. For the price, this is a great deal and I trust this brand. It is a time tested and reliable brand, which is important to me.
