   I love it! My adult daughter and I have a shake every day. We start with a few ice cubes in the blender to counter the warmth the room temp powder brings to the Almond Milk. We use unsweetened Almond Milk. Sometimes I add some berries or fruit but just ice and almond milk is perfect. For a rich treat try adding some frozen yogurt or soy ice cream or even ice cream if you don’t mind dairy. Just a small scoop added to the blender in a mix that makes two 8oz shakes is enough to make a real treat out of the shake. The powder is kind of lumpy without using a blender but it is so delicious I don’t mind. I just rinse the blender immediately to avoid the hassle. YUM!

   Its been a year now of my having this stuff for breakfast most mornings. I thought I would have grown sick of it long ago but to my surprise, its still good. This may actually be my usual breakfast for the rest of my life. Except when I eat bacon and eggs. its hard to compete with bacon and eggs. I even ventured to try some of their other flavors but not so much did I like them. This one seems to hit the Goldilox of flavors for me. Not too strong, not too bland. I recommend mixing it with oat milk.

   Update. Year two. Still drink it most mornings mixed with oat mild. Does not get old to my, still, surprise. These days I also add a scoop of some antioxidant powder I get from Costco, called Juce, and a scoop of L-Glutamine powder which seems to really tame my Colitis.

   Update. Year three. I have this every morning and I still love it.

   I’ve been getting these for months and I drink it for breakfast everyday. I am very disappointed with this particular purchase. The can has a very large dent and it did not come with a lid to reclose the can. I will not be returning it because I have no alternative for my breakfast tomorrow. Please improve quality control, if this were the first time I was ordering this product I would not do so again.

   I left a similar review on the vanilla product. I’ve been buying Spirutein for YEARS and have converted MANY friends to this product line. I recently made it through my old supply of Spirutein and was dismayed to find out that the formula has changed. The new flavor has an artificial sweetness to it that my taste buds don’t like. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m actually a person that likes artificial sweeteners whether it be stevia, splenda, etc. But this flavor is SO SWEET. I emailed customer support asking about it and this was their literal response: “The Spiru-tein did have a formula change a little while ago, which made the product sweeter.” So it has officially been confirmed by Nature’s Plus. They changed the formula despite not changing the packaging or letting customers know that the formula had changed. So although the packaging is the same, this is NOT the same product we have been buying for years. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the old (left) and new (right) formulas side by side for both vanilla and banana. I’ve combed through both ingredient lists and aside from some small nuances, the biggest difference for vanilla is that the new formula has “organic monk fruit extract (Sia grosvenori)” added to it and “oligofructose” is moved much higher in the ingredient list. While the vanilla is bearable, the banana tastes so sweet it is almost sickening. Comparing the old and new formulas for the banana reveals nearly identical formulas aside from the new one adding “oligofructose” and “non-GMO xanthan gum.” The old formula had both “oat bran” and “bee pollen” which the new one doesn’t have. Additionally in the case of banana, it even has 20 more calories per serving than the old formula had. Overall I’ve loved sprutein over the years, but I can no longer recommend it to anyone considering the overly sweet flavor of the new formula.

   One of the two cans ordered was opened. Both cans were damaged, however the package was intact. I don’t know if the main manufacturer is at fault or the in between shipping and handling of the product. These are carton cans with aluminum tops they should always be handled with care! This will be the last time ordering this product from bestproteinpowder4women.net.

   One of the best tasting shakes I’ve had. I love the banana a lot, it tastes like a real blended banana. I had the chocolate in this brand and I didn’t love it. I should try more flavors.

   I’ve been using this product for decades. I like Spiru-Tein above the whey powder based products for reasons of sensitivity. Years ago, the Spirutein formula was vastly different than what it is today. There was more spirulina in it back then. Too bad what they’ve done to it now so I’m giving 4 stars for that reason. The banana flavor is good – a lot better than their fake strawberry flavored product.
