   This seems to be a very nice powder. It’s very fine, pure white, and dissolves really well in my morning coffee. It doesn’t have any noticeable off flavors, grittiness, or other undesirable qualities. I’m very happy with it overall. The only problem is the price. For the amount you’re getting, a little more than a third of a pound, this is prohibitively expensive. It says thirty servings, but that’s if you only take one scoop, which is only 6g of protein, much smaller than I usually take. I’ve been doing two scoops to match my normal collagen usage, and that means this will only last for two weeks. I can’t imagine spending nearly a Benjamin per month for this. It is very high quality, but for the average person, it’s out of reach.

   I’ve had no issues using this collagen protein. I use it in my coffee in the morning and it dissipates quickly without the need to over stir or having any issues with it chunking up in the liquid. I did find that the serving size is about half of what is suggested on previous collagens that I have bought in the past. This is a small canister and it says it has 30 servings. But, if you’re trying to take the normal 20 G of protein, you will need two scoops instead of one so this will only leave you half a month’s supply.

   This is a review of “Healthful Seasons Original Collagen Peptides Powder” On the plus side, this mixes very easily, doesn’t have a strong taste, and provides collagen from a combination of bovine and marine sources. It appears to be high quality and is made in the USA with several manufacturing quality control certifications. Hydrolyzed collagen is supposed to be more bioavailable so that is another advantage. There are two things I’m not as happy about. One is that the front of the package says 12g of collagen per two scoops and 30 servings but when you look at the back one serving is one scoop, so in fact it’s 15 servings for two scoops. There is an amino acid profile, but given the confusion about the serving size, it’s impossible to tell whether that’s for one or two scoops. Finally, there’s the price point of $43.97 for 6.34 ounces which is pretty steep, although not completely unreasonable given that this is a hydrolyzed version and contains at least some marine collagen which is pretty much always higher priced. Overall, recommended if you can tolerate the price point.
