   Overall this is a good choice for protein if you expect to mix it into something that already has flavor or are OK with a kind of gross tasting drink that is easy to quickly consume. The taste and smell is like that of pure whey/milk protein. I’m not a fan and find it a bit off-putting, but not to the extent it makes it difficult to drink this. Mixing it up w water and quickly drinking limits the need to taste this. My main minor quibble is that the consistency is a bit chalky. I’ve found cheaper powders that have whey protein isolate tend to be a bit easier to mix and a bit more palatable. I’m also a bit skeptical of w/e enzyme blend this has. If you’re lactose intolerant it definitely isn’t a replacement for lactase. For the price, you can get more (by volume) of a powder that uses whey protein isolate. There’s nothing wrong with this, but the pricing seems high relative to other options.

   I can’t make myself like it. I have tried it three different ways. The first way was in a smoothie and it made me gag. The second way was in pancakes, the smell was horrendous. The third was was in yogurt and it made the yogurt taste weird plus the smell. I typically love unflavored protein because I can add it to anything. But for some reason this one has a weird smell that just messes everything up. The after taste you usually get with protein is up front in the beginning with this one. Maybe I got a bad bag because I read reviews and everyone else raved about it. But I DO NOT recommend this at all.

   I don’t cook with whey powder, so I can’t comment on that. But how I usually use unflavored powder is by mixing it with flavored powders, since those are usually too sweet for me. For that purpose, this works well, just like previous unflavored protein powders I’ve tried.

   This is a single pack of powdered whey protein. It is not flavored, but I think it tastes just the tiniest bit like super watery powdered milk. This 1 lb pack, which is supposed to have 15 servings. I like to add it to my oatmeal. One serving in a scoop that I spread out between four breakfasts. It adds a smoothness, and 24gr protein to my favorite cereal. It mixes really well. The seller says that it aids in digestion but I just like it for the protein. Some people like to use this for body building, and muscles, I can see where you could add this to smoothies, and it would be great.

   Great taste, no bloating I’ve tried a few protein powders and most of them give me gas or make me feel heavy. ProGains Vanilla is different. It tastes great, mixes really well in the blender, and doesn’t bloat me at all. I use it in my smoothies and the flavor is on point — smooth, not too sweet. Definitely my go-to from now on.
