I give this 3 stars because it smelled fresh, it mixed well, and had that nice earthy hemp taste. Unfortunately it’s very gritty, and this is due to the high fiber content. It must be added to something thick in order to mask the grit, such as a thick fruit smoothie. I heat agar flakes (a thickening agent similar to gelatin), or overnight soaked chia seeds with canned coconut milk to make a thick creamy paste and I mix this with the hemp protein powder to form a breakfast porridge. I cannot bake with this without it being gritty, a huge bummer for low carb, grain-free baking.
In the future I will only buy “Tempt” brand hemp protein powder because it is much less gritty, but also about 40% less fibrous. Tempt is easy to bake with, and can be mixed with liquid such as plain milk or water, no thickening required. You’ll just have to get your fiber elsewhere! Maybe add some nuts, seeds, and fruit and just say no to the “pro fiber” grit!

HORRIBLE TEXTURE, this stuff does not dissolve at all and the taste ..well, not so good. Will not buy again.

I wanted to move away from whey protein powders and decided to try this one. It smells a little nasty in the can, but I developed a smoothie recipe that tastes great! With 4 Tbs. of the Hemp Pro, I add 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 1/2 teaspoons coconut manna, 1 1/2 teaspoons white chia seeds, 5 drops liquid vanilla stevia, 1 cup almond/coconut milk, and 4 ice cubes. It’s thick, purple, and yummy! Great source of protein to start my morning off best.

If you are looking for something really healthy to add to your smoothies for protein and want to avoid soy, this is it! The taste is pretty bad. Until you get used to it, if you are making green food smoothies, put extra fruit in or do a smaller serving of Hemp until you can work your way to a full serving. I’ve also found that adding orange juice instead of water to your smoothie completely covers the taste. It’s an acquired taste. I’m used to it now. Fiber, protein, Omega 3s!

Love that this protein powder has protein and a high fiber content with only 1 ingredient: rolled hemp seeds. This powder is not sweet at all and has a very grainy, earthy, organic flavor and texture. I prefer mixing this with hot cereal along with fruit. I feel this product helps increase my protein intake naturally. Would highly recommend to any vegetarian or vegan looking to increase protein and/or fiber intake. Not for those who prefer sweet or flavored powders.

As a seeker of non soy, non whey based protein, I stumbled upon Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro Fiber at a local co-op and really liked the result in my morning shakes. Then I pleasantly discovered this double pack on bestproteinpowder4women.net with a great price point and have been enjoying purchasing from here ever since.
This product is packed with beneficial protein and fiber that is much needed in my vegetable based morning shakes. My only complaint is that the serving size is 4 tablespoons, which is hard to palate in an 8-10 oz beverage. Because of this I split the serving size and have one shake for breakfast and one for a mid-afternoon snack.

I even tried soaking this “powder” before blending. The sand never goes away. Am I missing something? Food is not grit.
