It is a concentrated powder that results when pasteurized whey is dried, and is useful for improving the texture and adding nutritional value. Our Sweet Dairy Whey powder is Extra Grade. Sweet Dairy Whey contains about 0.18 mg of Vitamin B12 and 0.58 mg of Vitamin B6 in each 1/4 cup (100 g).

This product is mislabeled, it is really sugar with a little whey added. This is not the healthy whey that I was looking for.

UPDATE: I tried to make a sliceable mysost using this powdered whey and while that didn’t work, it DID make a delicious primost (spreadable).
The powdered whey was fresh (‘best by’ May 2026 so 2 full years).
Original order was shipped in a soft packaging bag and two of the whey packs opened and spilled product. Zooscape customer service was excellent; responded in <24 hours and shipped out replacement products immediately.
Replacements were packaged in a box so there were no issues with packaging.
I’ll be ordering from them again.

If you need sweet whey this is a good choice. I use it as a prebiotic and for that it works extremely well. It’s difficult to find this type of whey as so many companies are selling whey protein isolate which does not work as a prebiotic at all. This is the “unmolested” form of whey and I will be ordering more soon. They also sent it out pretty quickly so all around good choice.

Sweet Diary Whey is now very hard to find and is used in baking. Was thrilled to find three 16oz packages of sweet dairy whey and placed an order. I started using Larissa brand, when Bob’s Red Mill stopped offering the product. I love Larissa’s product; I use it in my daily smoothie – in part for the sweetness, but mostly for the whey and the protein in the whey. There is only one ingredient: milk (from which the whey is extracted). There is no added sugar – only the natural sweetener in milk: lactose (not sucrose).
