   As I’ve aged maintaining weight has become an issue for me. I’ve tried most of the supplement drinks but don’t handle them well largely due to lactose intolerance. Made this blend with oat milk & a frozen banana in our smoothie mixer. Blended up well, tastes great, has wholesome ingredients and gave me the added nutrition needed with no tolerance issues.    I’ve never been the sort of person who drinks a shake or smoothie instead of eating a meal. But something about this product description grabbed me. I thought I’d try it — no harm, no foul. I didn’t have a high expectations and some of the reviews I read while waiting for the kit to arrive didn’t do anything to raise them. So I was totally surprised to find that I really, really liked this beverage! The double chocolate flavor tastes delicious without any off-putting aftertaste. It was also quite filling and satisfying, providing me the promised burst of energy. Instructions were easy: just blend the entire packet with a frozen banana and a cup of milk. Everything combined well and the coconut and banana add a nice texture. I’m also happy with the “real” ingredients in this kit (which is really just a packet of powder), except for skepticism about consuming collagen, which I don’t know much about and concerns me a little. All in all, though, I’m pleased with the product. Be aware that this is a single serving.

   I only recommend if you have a deluxe blender or if you know some secret to breaking up grains in a smoothie – maybe an immersion style would work better. My daughter and I both liked the flavor, but my magic bullet blender couldn’t get the texture and smoother. I tried it when a banana and some cold brew coffee with a little sweet cream creamer, it tasted really good. But the texture was super grainy. I think you need an immersion style blender or at least one stronger than our old magic bullet type. Unfortunately I won’t be getting more of these.

   This pistachio meal replacement smoothie is fantastic! It arrives in the pouch shown in my pictures and looks exactly as they show in the listing pictures. The directions tell you to combine it with milk and a banana, which we did and it turned out fantastic! It really blends and comes out looking like their pictures show with a perfect thick smoothie texture. It tastes exactly like pistachio and has bits and pieces in it too, if you like that kind of thing. Overall, this is a very heavy meal replacement smoothie but it tastes fantastic and blends very well!

    This meal replacement smoothie is quick and easy to make, and it left me feeling full. All you need is a blender, milk, and a frozen banana. It has a good flavor, sweet but not overpowering. The bad thing is the texture. No matter how long I blended it, I couldn’t make it smooth. It’s gritty with chunks of oats. I had to chew some parts of it. Maybe blending the smoothie for several minutes, or blending the packet ingredients separately first, would solve this issue.

    These Jova meal replacement smoothies had great flavor … very chocolatey; however, their texture was a bit too thick when prepared as recommended, so I suggest using less powder or adding more milk. The texture from the coconut and seeds was a little weird at first, but I think that is because the brands I have tried in the past have been so smooth. They come premeasured which is convenient, and are pretty easy to make, so they are great for when I am pressed for time.

    This smoothie mix is very tasty. I only mixed it in water and it has a very nice flavor. I do like all the bits and pieces inside of it as well and kind of need a spoon to get at those.     I was so impressed with this! There were actually whole pistachio nuts in the mix! So often you buy something and it’s the ‘flavor’ and made with artificial ingredients. This is the actual whole ingredients. It tasted like pistachio and was really enjoyable. Not all of the oats and nuts blended down completely which is to be expected. You can’t always get it super smooth when you’re using nuts and seeds. I didn’t mind at all. I also added some Greek yogurt to thicken it a bit more and I got two servings that was. It’s a bit pricey per single use pack but it’s not more than you’d pay to buy at a shop/cafe. Given the convenience and the ingredient quality it’s worth it. I wouldn’t be able to afford these on a regular basis but I’d consider these as a once in a while for the rotation!

    It’s a good product I just wish they were more clear about how much you’re getting when you order. I was expecting more packets for the cost and what they said they would send. Also the packaging is inconsistent which seems weird. Like you’re cutting cost on packaging but your prices stay high as we hit a recession. Plus you aren’t giving the amount you say.

The powder is a bit gritty and smells sweet. The smoothie kit has a lot of powder in the pouch and is ready to use. Installation/setup: Pour into your blender or shaker, add a banana or other fruit and milk of your choice to make one meal replacement shake. Final thoughts: I got the pistachio flavor. I didn’t taste too much of the nut in this drink. It is filling, but gritty. I love pistachios but I’m not too fond of this drink. I made this in my nutribullet, adding a banana and some pea protein milk. It mixed well, giving me a thick drink that filled me up. I wasn’t hungry for hours so I guess it’s effective. It’s gritty and has an odd flavor to me, I don’t think I want more, especially at so high a price. ⭐️1 star – I don’t recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars – I don’t recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – It’s passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars – Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – Product that I totally recommend.

    I got the peanut butter flavor. This made a nice shake to have at work in place of lunch. It was quick and easy to prepare. I did add a frozen banana as per instructions and used almond milk. The taste was good, although a bit sweet for my liking. Although this smoothie claims to have no added sugars, there is 2 g of sugar listed on the package and it contains allulose, which is a type of natural sugar. Not sure if it was the sugar or the added salt, but the shake made me really thirsty. It did help quench my appetite and was very filling. The texture was a bit thick, with some nuts and chia seeds giving it a gritty feel, although maybe I just didn’t blend it long enough. Overall, this is a pretty good meal replacement option. Would like to explore other flavors.

    I’m kind of picky about chocolate flavors, so I probably should have started with another flavor to try this brand, JOVA. However, to my surprise, this Double Chocolate flavor is not bad. I have had it twice now, both times with almond milk and a banana. (I intend to add some peanut butter the next time.) The texture is thick and ever so slightly gritty. Maybe ‘gritty’ isn’t the right word, but it isn’t quite as smooth as I’d prefer. The taste is VERY chocolatey…maybe too much for me. It is very creamy, but slightly bitter due to the deep chocolate flavor. But it’s all right, definitely drinkable, especially if you add a sweetener of some kind, and it’s great as a meal replacement! One of these smoothies keeps me feeling full and satisfied until dinner, which is fantastic, and exactly what I was hoping for. I do think this stuff is kind of expensive (around six bucks per smoothie!), but if you don’t mind that and you like a rich chocolate flavor, it’s definitely worth a try!
