   Normally, I would drink whey protein after my workouts. But I wanted to give Isopure a real-world test, so I packed it in my gym bag for a post workout drink. I have to say, I’m impressed with this. It’s the best of both worlds. High in protein, with no carbs, and more importantly it tastes good. Being this is more liquefied than many dairy protein drinks. Isopure absorbs quicker in the body which is essential for post workouts training. I have no real complaint with is drink, although it’s a bit on the pricey side. But I definitely will buy this and recommend it to my friends and those who enjoy training. Too good to miss out.

   This is a unique protein drink. I ordered the Alpine Punch flavor – It’s a clear pink-colored liquid in a glass bottle and it’s packed with protein. It has zero sugar, 0 carbs, just 130 calories and 32 grams of protein. It is sweetened with Sucralose. The flavor is tasty and it’s very easy to drink. While most protein drinks have a more creamy consistency, this doesn’t so it seems a bit counterintuitive. On the upside, it’s very easy to drink and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. But I also didn’t get a strong feeling of satiety, so I wouldn’t use it as a meal replacement. I think this is perfect for bodybuilders or anyone pre and/or post workout. Overall it’s a great product.

   After bariatric surgery I became extremely burnt out on protein shakes. A good friend introduced me to these drinks. Even though they are a little more expensive than the shakes there is more protein and it’s 12, 16oz bottles. The consistency is no different than fruit juice, no funky protein aftertaste, no lumps, taste is great. Worth the price for sure.

   Summary: This is a great, ready to drink WHEY based protein drink. The glass bottles are nice, but a little heavy (especially to take along on an outdoor excursion). Four different flavors (Lemonade, Alpine Punch, Raspberry and Apple Melon). Observations: ISOPURE makes a lot of different health supplement products, and most have very good (+4 star ratings). Pros: Made in the USA per bestproteinpowder4women.net product details; speciality manufacturer for the past 30 years. Cons: Cost $4-$4.67/bottle; and a minor downside I could find is the addition of coloring to the drinks (not needed IMHO); also the Lemonade isn’t colored. Conclusion: At $48-56 for 12 bottles, that’s $4-4.67/bottle, so definitely paying for the convenience, rating this 4-stars (cost).

    So, lesson learned here. Don’t order these in cold weather climates in the winter. I got a completely frozen and mostly destroyed 12 pack. I was able to salvage a couple to try and the drinks are great. I love the zero carbs and high protein in a refreshing drink. I will order these again come Spring but, in the meantime, will stick with the Isopure powder in the cold months.

    My husband loves these drinks but I’m kind of a sweet drink kind of girl and he’s more a lemonade guy. I think maybe I’d like it to be sweeter. It’s ok but not my favorite. Three stars for flavor.
