   I love the designer whey chocolate protein powder when purchased at my local grocery store but they don’t have the big one so I purchased this version. The powder has small white gritty specs throughout that is god knows what and notably doesn’t blend as well as the in store versions I’ve purchased in the past. It remains chunky and has gross gritty textures probably from the white specs. This seller does not allow refunds so unfortunately there’s nothing I can do.

   I’ve been using this very protein powder for many many many year’s now and personally I love it and hope they never stop making it. Tastes great in every flavor, not gritty or grainy. Aids in digestive health and when taken with fruit and a teaspoon of peanut butter even better. I even take it as a meal replacement. In recent times the packaging has changed from the hard plastic container to a plastic zip lock package, which I think is great except that the zip lock does not lock the way that it’s supposed to. I think it’s because some the powder gets stuck in the crevice and this is blocking it from zipping. I do think that either a slide lock or a velcro lock would be a better way to lock with this type of packaging. Other than this… A great product that I very highly recommend. See attached photo on how I have to seal the package using clothes pins due to it not zip locking properly.

   I love this protein powder. I use it every morning in a shake and have for years. It’s a tasty easy way to get protein and nutrients first thing to start off the day. I’ve got my two teens and young adult child drinking it too.

   Best protein powder I’ve had in years! Here are a few specific things I like about it: 1. It is very smooth to drink and it dissolves completely. No graininess. 2. No bad aftertaste. 3.     I’m a long time drinker of Designer Whey French Vanilla and 5 stars for the product itself. Upon opening newly arrived container today it has the same issue another reviewer commented was mold around top rim of inside seal. Not sure if this is the case or not (mold), but I’ve never seen it before with my other containers. It makes me too hesitant to use a potentially compromised product.

    Arrived super fast. I ordered the vanilla. I like my protein smoothies to be plain so I can make up my own recipes and variate my drinks. I tried it plain. One scoop to a cup of unsweetened almond milk. Great taste. I really like that it isn’t sweet because this way if I add banana and or frozen fruit to it it won’t taste like a dessert. I have a 1lb size glass jar. I filled half of the bag in there. The powder is very light and makes a lot of dust compared to other protein powders I tried before and the packaging won’t close /zip back easily but these small details won’t make such a difference to me. I’d buy this product again and recommend it to others. The protein per scoop ratio is 20gr to 30gr which makes this a good value for your money.

    This powder has NO flavor. I tried making it with milk instead of water. I also tried 6 ounces of liquid instead of eight. The only way to make this powder taste like strawberry is to blend it with real strawberries. Very disappointed in this purchase.

    The quality of the powder itself is excellent. It was the best nutritional composition of protein powders available on bestproteinpowder4women.net in this price range. My diet isn’t the best and I wanted to supplement it with additional protein, fiber, and nutritional supplements. The prebiotics included was a nice bonus. I had tried this company’s Designer Lite Cookies & Cream powder and liked it. However, I wanted more protein and I was craving Strawberry. The quality is there. The Whey line is noticeably smoother and slightly thicker in texture and blends more readily and completely. The extra protein provides me with a more satiated feeling. It’s definitely 5 stars. The strawberry flavor, however, definitely leaves something to be desired. 2.5 stars. I will be buying again, just in a different flavor. The strawberry flavor is drinkable but not that enjoyable. I prefer the Whey line over the Lite line which is thinner in consistency , doesn’t blend as smoothly, has less protein, and doesn’t have prebiotics in it. As others have said, the “resealable zip lock bag ” is utterly useless. It doesn’t work at all. I had to transfer the powder to an empty Lock & Lock storage container I had on-hand. If the company can’t do better than that, it needs to stick with screw-on lid canisters exclusively.

    Beware of this product! I have never used a protein supplement that gave me this kind of stomach discomfort. Within minutes of taking a half scoop in a glass of hot tea, I was obliged to visit the bathroom urgently. This continued for the remainder of the day. My husband had his protein shake a usual and had the same symptoms, although delayed compared to mine, and in addition said it tasted like chocolate cardboard going down. This is not available for return. I dont know what’s in this to create this result, but I will NOT be buying this again and the remainder is going in the garbage. In this case, cheap is not the better way to go.

    I have been purchasing Designer Whey for many, many years. Until recently, I’ve been extremely satisfied, but my last two orders (one for 3 units, another for 2 units) have shaken my confidence. The seals were burnt/charred inside and smelled awful. Apparently another reviewer contacted Designer Protein who mentioned this was normal? I think there was a batch where the heat to seal the canisters was up way too high because this should not be normal, and I’ve never noticed in my many years of being a customer. See the photo and judge for yourself whether this should be normal, of course the photo can’t convey the awful burnt smell. Another odd thing is that all 5 canisters had no expiration date which is concerning.

    I have eaten this product almost every morning for years and it was wonderful. I always mix it with skim milk. But, the latest order I received was a changed product. In the picture I added, above, see upper left of can, “NEW MORE Chocolatey Taste”. It used to say “convenient flip-top” or something similar to that. I knew something was off when I opened it. Brown dust floated up. The product is a fine powder now. After mixing, it tastes and has the consistency of chocolate milk. Instead of having energy, this made me tired. After a few hours, I felt weak like I had eaten sweets instead of protein for breakfast. I hope they change this back to the way it was, or, make it possible to order the old version.

    I’ve been buying this for awhile (non-flavored, for smoothies). I just opened the newest container, and it smells horrible. Very “chemical”. (I compared it to the last bit in the previous container, and it doesn’t have much of a smell, if at all.) I’m afraid to use it. The underside of the seal looks burnt, with brown and black on it, too (which I think I’ve noticed before, just not the bad smell). Edited to add: I contacted bestproteinpowder4women.net, and they’re sending out a replacement order.

    I have been purchasing designer whey over the last few years and found it to taste good and easily taken. This purchase on the other hand is just terrible, there is no chocolate taste whatsoever. With double chocolate you would expect a better chocolate taste. I would not recommend this product if you want a good tasting product.

    I have struggled with my blood sugar since high school- I LOVE fruit and would eat an entire watermelon in a day. Sophomore year of high school, I was diagnosed with prediabetes from my fruit and lemonade habit, so I knew something had to change, but I still didn’t want to gain weight, because bikini season.
