   This protein powder is great! 🙂 I use it in my banana strawberry smoothies after workouts (at least 3 days/wk.) and it seems to help me recover. Usually, I feel some soreness from doing my TRX classes. But having used this protein powder for the past 2 weeks, I have noticed that I’m not as sore, if I’m sore at all! I can only attribute it to the protein powder in my smoothies. I haven’t changed anything else (the intensity or frequency of my workouts, etc.). It tastes really good… the french vanilla flavor is pretty true to taste and it’s not chalky like I’ve found other powders to sometimes be. My picky 10 yr. old doesn’t mind the taste of my shakes, so I’d say that this powder is a winner! 😀

   Am on a low-sugar gluten-free diet so was looking for a protein powder that would fill me up in between meals on the go and was also low on sugar and gluten-free. This is okay if you can’t have sugar but I can’t get over the taste and the smell. It tastes kind of chalky and I don’t get a vanilla flavor from it at all. Is very bitter but I guess that’s to be expected with no sugar. Smells sour, though, like the milk you put in it went bad. Have tried a few different milks mixed with it and always smell sour right after mixing. Tried mixing it with unsweetened vanilla-flavored almond milk to try to bring out the vanilla flavor but it didn’t help much. It does keep you full but I chug it down fast to get it over with. Probably won’t order again.

   I read the reviews and thought I would try this whey protein. Big mistake. Thank goodness I bought the 12 ounce canisters.

   Facts:

   It mixes well in water or skim milk or a combination of the two.
   It is sweet. Sickening sweet.
   It has a caramel flavor in additional to the vanilla.
   It does not have a pure French vanilla taste.
   It works, but I will never purchase again.

   There are other whey proteins that have a much better flavor such as: Solgar – Whey Protein Powder Natural Vanilla. Hope this helps.

   my boyfriend recently became vegetarian, which meant that i had to become sort of vegetarian too. i am pretty carnivorous so sometimes at the end of the day my stomach feels kind of lonely with only the company of vegetables and tofu. I’m not about to start cooking up a steak at 10pm, so i mix some Aria with some vanilla soy milk and it easily holds me over til breakfast. it is quite tasty and fulfilling. The trick is to use a lot and then mix it with a hand blender or at least a whisk, otherwise you will get chunks of powder. Or you can get one of those fancy shakers, but i don’t like washing those things.

   i actually prefer the chocolate Aria powder to this one in terms of flavor. i tried this powder with regular soy milk (rather than vanilla) and it was kinda gross. if you’re picky, you might wanna get a different flavor than this one.

   I bought this product because it does not contain sucralose. It is almost impossible to find a Whey Protein without sucralose at a reasonable price. This one mixes well, the flavor is very good and I am very happy with it. I bought a small one to try it out and now I am getting my second purchase. I use it after work outs with frozen fruit and bananas and I am full for a long time. It provides a good post work out recovery meal. It is a bit pricey but it is priced more reasonably than other products in the market.

   I absolutely love DESIGNER WHEY FRENCH VANILLA Protein Powder. A few years ago, I lost over 60 pounds by using this as my breakfast on a daily basis. I use it now in a maitenance mode and mix it with water and a variety of frozen fruits to create the most delicious fruity drink ever. It keeps me full for at least 3-4 hours until lunchtime. I’ve tried other powders which have an ‘off’ taste, but this one has no strange aftertast whatsoever. If I’m using a less sweet fruit such as raspberries, I’ll ad a tbsp of agave nectar and voila, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION…
