There was a bit of air in the packet that I took out of the box. I gave it a squeeze to see how well sealed it was. No air escaped, it was well sealed.
The powder smells good. It has the consistency of corn starch. I added water. I mixed for a long time. It just does not want to fully mix very well. Eventually I got it mixed up with minimal little white clumps.
I gave a taste. I spit it out. I dumped it in the sink. I threw the rest away. There is no way my kid is going to be offered this. It tasted like baby aspirin, some bile flavoring and too much stevia.

Good source of protein for kids if they can handle whey powder and it tastes kind of like orange juice. So it’s okay but personally it’s too sour and acidic for me as I break out in canker sores with any acidity and these caused that for me. So it’s sour but I like that there’s no real sugar.

At best, I was hoping this would taste like Sunny Delight with a boost of protein. Unfortunately, the tangerine flavor is somewhat bitter and not appealing. While I appreciate the whey isolate, since I don’t care for the flavor of whey protein, this product only contains 8 grams of protein. Protein wise, this would be comparable to a 8oz glass of milk.
Would kids drink this? Eh… not sure. I understand the need for protein but the flavor of this would make most kids skip it. There are better isolate options available that taste far better and have more protein. Lastly, the cost is high. For $3 per serving for a product that would most likely be poured down the drain is expensive.
If dairy and dairy alternatives are not an option, then a whey isolate would be ideal. However, given the limited protein, poor flavor, and high cost, I would skip this product and look elsewhere. Thanks.

Got the tangerine flavor. It ended up being really helpful to use a blender bottle to mix this, and the kids had fun using it like the adults to. Then we let it sit for a while – there’s a lot of foam so putting it in the fridge is a good thing to let the foam die down. Once you’ve gone through all those steps to get rid of the clumsiness and the foam, though, this is actually pretty good stuff! The smell is bright and the taste and texture is akin to tangerine orange juice. The kids really liked it, and we liked that it had protein.
It’s quite pricey to risk the kids not liking it, however, so this is probably best if you can try 1 or 2 from somewhere and see if your kid likes it first. Unless your kids are super not picky.

This mixed well and had a good citrus orange flavor I thought. However, my daughter did not like it and wouldn’t drink it.

For a product that costs $3 per powder pack, I had high hopes for this Kids Everest Tangerine Clear Whey Protein drink mix. It didn’t take long for those high hopes to go down the drain, which is basically the same reaction my kids had on what to do with this drink. The pouches are easy to tear open and they are to be poured into 8 oz. of water. I used room temperature water and could not get this to mix well. It immediately clumped up and stuck to the spoon. After lots of smashing and stirring, it mostly incorporated into the water but made the water look like I just scooped up a cup of dirty dish water. It’s not appealing to look at. I could get past the other things as long as it tastes great, but it does not. It’s extremely sour and not pleasant to drink. My kids wouldn’t take more than one sip, and I had a hard time getting one cup of this down for a review. On a positive note, I like that it zero added sugar and relatively low calories for a drink mix but still, I would not get this again because my kids will only waste it and it’s way too expensive for that.
