   I drank this Chike High Protein Iced Coffee in the morning to fill me up and push me through the morning to lunch. Between the caffeine and the protein, it did exactly what I was hoping it would do. It only took me a minute or so to prepare this coffee drink in my shaker cup and I was ready to head out the door. I will say that I prefer drinking it very cold. Room temperature is not for me. Adding ice made it so much better. It had a bit of a strange flavor at first but I’m thinking that is from the whey protein. After a few initial sips, I adjusted quickly and enjoyed drinking it, especially when I could tell it was satisfying me to get through the morning and I didn’t have to prep a breakfast. It blended easily, was not gritty or chalky and I didn’t have any more of an aftertaste than a regular cup of coffee would have. It’s less expensive than ordering coffee out on the go and faster to make too. I didn’t get any stomach upset, even drinking it on an empty stomach, and no jitters either. I like it well enough, and I will use it as an occasional breakfast replacement or when I need something easy and fast.

   I ordered the naturally sweetened variety but instead received the other variety pack which is sweetened with sucralose but has the naturally sweetened bar code on it. I can’t even return this product to get the correct thing. Update: since I can’t return it I have decided to try the flavors sent. First I had was the Cinnamon Ice Coffee – beyond the fact that I hate the sucralose after taste, the cinnamon was way too overpowering. It was not pleasant and I found myself having to drink quickly and wash it down with plenty of water. On a up note I can definitely confirm it is well caffeinated, lol.

   These taste like coffee made from powdered cappuccino mixes when you let them get cold. I did not pick up any additional flavoring from the protein. It certainly felt like more caffeine than the other flavored coffee mixes. These individual packs are great for on the go coffee needs.

   Mixed the mocha flavored packet in blender with water per instructions, flavor wasn’t particularly pleasant. After adding a tsp of Starbucks instant coffee, a heaping tsp of baking cocoa and a fair amount of milk, plus ice, and giving it another hard blend, it actually turned out ok. It would have been great had it not been for the awful flavor of stevia. I can’t understand why this sweetener is so popular given its terrible taste. Allulose would have been a much better option due to tasting very much like sugar and being a natural substance as well. The product is pretty expensive at $3 a
   pop, especially since it needs enhancements to make it palatable. I was very happy with the caffeine content however. Next time I’ll omit the addition of coffee since it made it a bit too intense.

    The ingredients don’t vary between the ‘flavors’ of the variety pack, and neither does the taste. It’s not bad overall. I felt very full, and this product works great as a meal replacement. There is the ‘splenda/stevia’ aftertaste from the sweetener, but I can deal with that.
