I love this protein powder. You basically have 2 choices when it comes to protein powders. Add flavors, sweeteners and garbage OR have it plain. This one checks the plain box perfectly. It has a mild, tolerable flavor when mixed with water and I feel good taking it twice a day to help support my weight training goals. Do other things taste better? Sure. Cookies are better. So is cake. But we don’t want cookies or cake–we want protein. This is straight up protein with no filler. It does one job and does it well!

It’s unflavored, what do you expect? I don’t use this powder in smoothies or shakes. I will bake or cook with it. I’ve found mixing it in sauces, “protein banana bread”, pancakes, waffles, etc adds a nice protein boost! No noticeable flavor or texture difference when I mix it in food. In smoothies or shakes however… it is awful. It’s an awesome value. You get 7lbs of the stuff, plus it contains BCAAs. Container was filled to the top (took me a while to find the scoop). No skimping on this product. I’ll be buying again.

Disgusting. Great deal for what I was looking for, but it tastes bad and is like you are drinking chalk.

For 7lb and $54…. the price for what you get is unbeatable. The best if you are on a budget. But there’s a sacrifice. The taste. It’s unflavored and man they don’t lie. It tastes like you’re drinking water that has…. some powder in it with a hint of pea. But you get what you pay for. I would rate it 4.5 but IDK how to do that on a phone. Anyway it’s gets the job done for cheap but I really do need something with a good flavor

I’m gonna give this 5 stars, but to be completely clear – the unflavored version doesn’t exactly dance on your taste buds. It’s got an earthy, nutty pea protein taste that even the sweetest of sweeteners can’t fully disguise. Not my favorite, might I say.
But let’s talk about why I’m still a fan. This stuff is no joke when it comes to packing in the protein. We’re talking 29 grams per scoop, which has been a big help for me in adding some extra protein into my diet post-workout. I’ve been keen on trying alternatives to whey protein, and this has done the job nicely.
Quality-wise, I’m impressed. It feels like good stuff, and for the price? It’s a steal. You just aren’t gonna find a better bang for your buck if you’re looking for a protein supplement.
In the future, I’m thinking of mixing this with some whey protein powder to take the edge off the flavor. But all in all, if you can handle a bit of a strong taste, this pea protein powder is a top-notch pick for quality and value.

I’ve tried many plant based protein powders because I don’t want the hormones that come from whey or other sources. Man does this have a huge amount of protein in one small serving for not so many calories. That is impressive BUT it’s may not be for everyone. Most people I know would not like the taste of this, it does taste weird but I don’t mind it. I have a sensitivity to taste and I don’t like drinking sweet things. So i actually don’t mind that it taste “awful” as some people describe it. The closest I can come to describing the taste is like maybe it taste like flavorless oatmeal? Like chunky flavorless unseasoned oatmeal, which I love. I also buy this because it’s incredibly cheap and you get 7lbs. I’m also very lazy in eating so it helps keep me full when I have crazy days. I am also not keen on buying fast food so eating is kinda hard. This does help me a lot as I have a lot of food sensitivity. So if you’re like me, then I recommend. If you’re too sensitive and won’t sacrifice taste for convenience then don’t get it. I am just a lazy person, which is why this is perfect for me.

I like that its a good price for the volume. It serves its purpose as a protein supplement and is low carb without any whey, which is what I was looking for. It is unflavored and unsweetened, which is also what I wanted. The think is that it is very chalky and tastes terrible. When I add fruit alone, it’s not enough. It really needs a sweetener like Stevia to make it palatable, but it’s still got that chalky texture. Also, it clumps up if you leave it sit too long, like while I’m working at my desk. You need to plan to drink it right away and focus on that. I won’t buy this again and I have a lot to use, unfortunately. Not sure I’ll finish the container.

You get a lot of bang for your buck when you consider that one serving is 29 grams of protein. A lot of powders have less protein per serving. I love that it’s pure pea protein. Does it taste great? No, but I’d rather be able to add my own sugar and/or smoothie ingredients than to have someone else add artificial sweeteners and other junk into my protein powder. As far as pure pea protein goes, this is one of the better tasting ones.
I’ve been taking this and creatine for about 6 months and I have put on a few pounds of lean mass. 29 grams is a decent amount. It really helps me hit my protein goals without adding too many calories and without getting tired of eating so much food. 7 pounds is a lot and will last quite a while. I’m going to buy more when I finish this jar.
