It smells and tastes like a farm animal. Some people might not mind it, but it’s too strong for me (and I bought the 1 kg bag or 400 servings 😫). I made the awful mistake of adding a teaspoon of powder into a tall glass of water. I struggled to gulp it all down. Later, I tried adding it to sweetened tea and that was more palatable (although it still tasted like a wild horse). I think it would be best to add it to meaty/savory food and broth for flavor synergy. EDIT: Cinnamon seems to significantly cut down the terrible flavor and odor.
It’s not very clear whether this product mainly consists of low molecular weight collagen peptides or high molecular weight collagen in powder form. The product descriptions are confusing.

Use a scoop in your bulletproof coffee in the morning, use a small hand blender and it mixes well and even gets a bit “frothy”. Seems to keep my nails needing a trim quite often. Not a scientists, but I think it is doing what it is advertised to do.

Through no fault of Bulk Supplements (Our mail person loves to jam packages into the box as hard as possible!), the initial shipment was damaged. Contacted Bulk Supplements through bestproteinpowder4women.net and they shipped a replacement right away and were easy to work with and friendly in doing so. The product itself is very good — we mix it into coffee every morning and it only slightly changes the flavor. Also ordered Magnesium Hydroxide from them and are very pleased with that order, too. This collagen product does not taste great but collagen products don’t in general. It is not too bad. My fingernails grow like crazy. It has not helped my elbow joints noticeably but I have rheumatoid arthritis.
Normally collagen makes a significant difference. I will up my dose. It dissolves reasonably well. I couldn’t
get my regular brand so I am trying this one. The cost is better.

I’ve tried several collagen products and this is the best for taste and value. I mix 3 heaping tablespoons in an 89 fl. oz. container of homemade lemonade to help with better skin texture and reduce hair loss from aging. Not sure it’s helping with the hair loss, but I think it helps with improved skin quality.

Here is what I didn’t know. I’ve been taking this porcine collagen for a while by mixing it with whey powder isolate and water in a shake. Today I tried a half a tablespoon straight up and dry. Then I ate a little more that way. YUM! It’s not gummy like whey powder at all. It has an unctuous slightly sweet taste that is hard to describe. Almost like slightly sweet pork rinds, with a pleasant texture and without all the greasy saltiness.
As for BulkSupplements like most of their customers I cannot say enough good things about this company. Pure clean products, at the best prices, shipped fast with amazing customer service. The only bad thing is that I did not discover BulkSupplements sooner.
