   BLECH. Bought at Walmart when I ran out of bestproteinpowder4women.net-delivered ON Whey (which is 70% protein for those of you who are aware of differences in protein contents). Got it home and mixed it with water as I do all other whey protein powders. BLECH. Immediately reminded me of the cheap junk proteins I used to drink decades ago when the only protein powders you could get were SOY and tasted like crap. Gritty, too. Why? Because this junk is loaded with soy. I’ve been using chocolate protein powders for literally over 30 years (dozens of them) and this is the worst tasting I’ve ever experienced. This is going back to Wal-Mart. I’ll adjust my subscribe and save so more than one ON tub comes each month. Don’t even think twice. Run away from this gagacious slop. I’m literally struggling to pour this crud down my throat.

   Husband can’t eat red meat. We all need protein for obvious reasons. I investigated other protein powders. This one surpasses others. Amount of protein in this product is excellent. This flavor can be changed. From time-to-time to bump up flavor he adds flavor by adding juice. Not to say it’s not ok just the way it is.

   Look VERY carefully at the supplement list. This product uses large proportions of leucine and valine. Also, notice the rather large “made in USA ” badge. In tiny little letters under it, you can see many of their ingredients are sourced from abroad (China).

   Please mark this review as “helpful” below, if it was. I am a LONG time user of the original Body Fortress Whey Isolate. I bought at least 24 tubs, so I’ll try to be as objective as possible and describe the differences. Differences from original blend: – 33% less protein for same price (1.33 lbs from 2 lbs) – 3.6% less calories per gram – Serving size changed to 38g (see attached picture) – Chalkier taste – Clumpier powder (see attached picture) – Blends MUCH easier in milk (with wire ball blender bottle) – Contains more milligrams of almost every amino acid and mineral (see attached picture) – Contains new vitamin Betaine Anhydrous (read below) Calories: Others have failed to notice the serving size increase to 38g (from 34g) and mistakenly concluded that this new blend has more calories. This is incorrect. It actually has less calories per gram. Ingredients and Taste: The new blend contains more of almost every single essential ingredient, effectively making it a multivitamin mixed with whey protein isolate. This is the reason for the new, worse, chalky taste; if you’ve ever eaten a multivitamin, you know what I’m talking about. With that said, the taste is not that bad; the original tasted like a milkshake in milk and now it tastes a little more bitter. Lastly, they’ve added a new vitamin called Betaine Anhydrous. This is nothing like Creatine, so don’t worry and just do your research. Blending: The new blend is definitely clumpier. This is likely because the powder is much more fine and there is a higher concentration of ingredients. However, because the powder is more fine, it blends in milk much better than the original (using a wire ball blender). It completely disappears. I can’t speak for water, but I’d assume it’s similar. Contrary to other (incorrect) reviews, this blend is [ultimately] better than it’s predecessor in every way except taste. I miss the old taste too, but I don’t take a supplement for the taste.

   Ever since I started working out I realized I’ve been needing a lot more protein than what I have been getting which is why I look some up and wanted to see what is the best kind and Body fortress is honestly a really good brand. I will definitely spend money on this product again. Tried it the day it came in with water and it was very good. Loved the flavor, mixed really good with out a shaker ball. The only thing that I will have to consider is using milk for obvious reasons being it makes you a lot bulky and lean and that’s what I have been needing and because it won’t be super chalky but even in water it wasn’t chalky all that bad but you could definitely tell it was a little bit. I would definitely recommend this product. Tastes great and hope to see results very soon!

   I bought this a few months back but I was using another protein powder so I hadn’t been able to try this one. Today I finally got around to trying it, I decided to blend two scoops with 14 oz of water in the blender, as directed. Now most protein shakes aren’t that fun to drink in general, so normally I tried to chug them down and just get it over with. However this protein shake proved hard for me to do so. The top inch of the liquid was all foam and so when I poured it into a cup it was like drinking milky foam. Once I finally got to chug down the actual liquid I almost gagged. At first I could ignore the chalky texture passing by on my tongue, but I got too much for me and I put the cup down and started gagging on The taste left in my mouth. I feel like me buying this container of chalk was not worth the money I spent on it, and my wallet weeps for me. Absolutely disgusting, I will never buy this again.

    Good value! If you love Vanilla flavor you’ll love this! Doesn’t taste chalky. I prefer chocolate to vanilla but chose the vanilla because I figured I could mix with more stuff than I could with chocolate. It’s too much vanilla flavor for me. It’s not disgusting but I’m not a big vanilla fan but I wasn’t expecting the flavor to be so pronounced. I mixed with almond milk and powdered chocolate milk and it overpowered the chocolate. Even mixed with really strong coffee, it also overpowered it. It’s not a bad thing if you love vanilla. Overall I’ll finish it. Maybe I’ll get the chocolate next time of try to find a French vanilla powder or plan vanilla instead of “vanilla creme” and maybe it will make a difference. Also, if you don’t see the scoop it’s buried but it’s in there. You may have to dig it out.

    I only noticed a difference AFTER dieting and exercising. There is NO such thing as a “magic pill” or “magic supplement”. Taking this or ANY supplement without EXTREME dieting and EXCESSIVE exercise will not provide any results. That being said, the photo on the left was while taking this supplement before diet and exercise, and the photo on the right is after 5 months of EXTREME dieting and EXCESSIVE exercise. Does it hurt to keep taking it? Probably not, so I keep taking it.

    Body Fortress what have you done to my beloved Vanilla Creme Whey Isolate? I recently received a new container of their Whey Isolate after having finished my old container. What the heck has Body Fortress done to this stuff? It is not even close to my previous container. First and foremost , they have changed the flavor from a very good tasting vanilla to a now chalky mush that is barely palatable. The texture of the new product is clumpy and looks like clabbered milk. I am attempting to consume this new stuff but I have to mix it with another whey protein just to get it down. It is terrible! They have also decreased the weight of their product from 2 lbs to 1.3 lbs. They had a good product but now not so much. I will be looking elsewhere for my Whey Isolate.The photo of the open containers shows the texture of the new product on the left compared what it previously looked like.

    The previous version of this protein was much better tasting and had a better texture. This current version reminds me of flour. It will take forever to break down in the shaker bottle and even then i swallow clumps of this crap. The previous version had a texture a bit more grainy like sugar. It mixed decently well even with a spoon! The taste seems to be much more bland and chalky. Last tub i buy from Body Fortress unless i can find the last remaining ones of the old version. Time to look elsewhere.

    I just received today, so I’ve not had a chance to form an opinion, but good grief, large tub is only half filled. So, you receive a 24 oz container with 12 oz of product. That’s such false advertising. The size of the container is not the amount of product you actually get. So for now I’ll give it 3 stars until I try it. Do better! Put this product in a correctly sized container. We’re not paying for a 24 oz container, we’re paying for 24 oz of product.

    I purchased this protein powder after MUCH (maybe too much) research on multiple brands. I can’t believe some people don’t like the flavor. I throw a scoop of this into my NutriBullet with 3/4 cup of frozen blueberries, about 2tbsp of walnuts, and two small scoops of oats. The results are…incredible and SMOOTHE. An added side benefit is that a spoonful of this stuff also makes for a nice coffee creamer!
