   I use a lot of whey protein powders in my diet. I’ve tried a different pea protein before and it was pretty disappointing. Figured I’d give this one a shot. I suppose all pea protein powders are going to be pretty similar. The powder is really fine and kind of gets everywhere. When you mix it, it tends to leave some big clumps, even when using a powered blender. You can see this in the photos I provided. It was also caked all around the rim of the bottle. The taste is ‘meh’. Barely any vanilla flavor and really low level of sweetness. I suppose if for some reason you need to use pea protein this is pretty good, but I think I’ll stick with whey.

   If you love the taste of dried mushrooms mixed with a little chocolate powder that remains chunky when shaken, this is the protein powder for you. You have to use more of this to get the same ammount of protein that other powders have. Both the smell and taste are funky and I am not a fan of it.

   For a long time, I was a plant-based diet and as a result I sometimes had to supplement my protein needs with protein powders. I do prefer a pea protein over a whey as they are easier on the kidneys although I’ve used both. I have a friend whose preference is just the opposite as they find pea protein to be on the gritty side. This particular protein’s first ingredient is a pea protein and it is somewhat gritty. There are a full 20 grams of protein per serving, more than a third of what many people need in a day. I added some of this to my strawberry yogurt, an easy way to mix it. I don’t do smoothies so can’t say if this will mix well but I suspect it will mix well. The protein came in a sealed container, a must for all food products. There’s just over twenty ounces (557 G) of protein powder in this canister. When I opened up the protein powder there wasn’t any powder clumping. There are a couple of ingredients some may not care for like the stevia. I do like the infusion of mushrooms into this plant-based protein powder. It is expensive at just under $50, but should last me if I only use it now and then.    This is an excellent tasting protein powder. When mixed at the recommended 8 oz, it makes for a VERY thick shake. For a vegan and sugar free product, I was quite surprised at how good this tasted.

   I deducted a star for the inclusion of mushrooms (I find these to be bunk, no matter what form factor I try them in) and for the high price per serving ($2.50 at the time of this review).

   The basd Mind & Body protein supplement arrived in a sealed container with no damage noticed. When I removed the tamper proof seal, I observed the powder supplement and was disappointed at the amount in the container. The container is a rather large container however, the powder supplement only filled the container halfway, which seems like an environmental waste for a company that is directed towards a healthy plant based vegan consumer audience. There is a scoop that comes with the supplement for easy portion deliverance. The scoop is extremely large and is more like a 3/4 measuring cup, which is then when I noticed that the supplement is only a 15-day supply. For the price of this supplement, I was shocked it wasn’t at least a whole month’s supply, but that was my fault for not paying attention. Now, as I went to consume the protein powder in water, I was disappointed in the product once again with how well the supplement dissolved. It doesn’t, it more like turns to a clay type substance. I tried using warm water and an electric whisk next and that seemed to work a little better than it did in cold water but took a while. The flavor profile has a slight sweet flavor but taste most like dirt, or an extremely earthy flavor would sound better. I am personally not a fan and will figure out how to consume this protein supplement and try to hide it in something else, maybe a smaller scoop and possibly in coffee would be a win. it would help it last longer as well as hiding the flavor and the heat help it dissolve. Overall, I am unimpressed with this protein supplement in my opinion. Hopefully, this product will satisfy the right person, but it’s not for me.

   Pros: creamy, love the natural ingredients. Great source for key nutrients. Cons: does not mix well. Leaves clumps and hardly any flavor. I prefer my directions to provide ounces not ml. I will use this in the blender to avoid clumps and add fruit for flavor.

   I am a big smoothie person, specifically a peanut butter chocolate smoothie, and this works great ! I will say I did try mixing it with water like it said but I do not recommend that. It is very good blended, even with just water it emulsifies very well and is very filling. I have a physical job and I burn a lot of calories so I take one of these with me to get me through and it works- like not hungry for hours works. I am also celiac and have not had a reaction to this at all. My 5YO son said ” this is the best smoothie ever ” and he doesn’t even like food ! We all really enjoyed it, it lasted a month using half scoops 5 days a week.

   While it tasted good, do NOT mix it with milk. I mixed it into my protein shake where I use 1 cup of whole milk & it had giant chunks no matter how much I mixed or stirred. The taste wasn’t bad but I’m not a fan of chunks in my drink. May work better with water but I personally cannot drink chocolate water. The packaging says you mix it with water or beverage of your choice. It doesn’t mention anything about milk not being a good choice. Possibly hot chocolate would be better.

    Well packaged in a plastic jar. Easy to store, open and close with tight lid. Per reading and review the label, all the ingredients are vegan and Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Dairy Free,.. seems like no questionable ingredients. The powder is fine particles and easy to mix with liquid. I mixed this protein powder with the barista oat milk and it taste good. Well blended and mixed with the oat milk. The chocolate flavor not so strong but it does not taste artificial like some other brand protein shakes. Also, in the morning, I make iced latte with the powder. I add a shot of espresso, couple scoops of this powder, oat milk and a bit of cinnamon powder. Taste pretty yummy. Since I am a vegan, it is great way to intake daily needed protein. Also, easy to digest. I follow “fodmap diet” since I have minor IBS. This powder does not impact on my digestions.

    I’ve tried other pea protein shakes and haven’t always liked them so I wasn’t sure I would like this. I have been pleasantly surprised. It’s better than some of the other brands I’ve tried. Still not my favorite brand but a decent taste. I love the amount of protein in this shake. I’ve been logging my food and found I was not getting enough protein. I didn’t want to take in a lot more calories to get more protein so this was a great option. I’m happy with this .

    I’m not the biggest fan of this one personally. After mixing one scoop in about 8 oz of milk (my preferred beverage), I noticed that the protein drink was very, very thick. My stirring bottle was having trouble stirring it well because of this, and there were some chunks of protein powder left unstirred, even after extra time. I didn’t really enjoy the grainy and thick texture of it, but maybe that’s what some are after. Also, I wasn’t too impressed with the flavor; it was good, a solid yet artificial vanilla taste, but it wasn’t great. Now, I do think this was lighter on my stomach than many other protein powders, and I really do like that it has 5 mushrooms for overall health. This protein powder is also expensive, costing $2.5 per serving, and to me it doesn’t feel worth it; I’d rather save money with a mushroom supplement and protein powder instead of paying premium for them together. My powder expires Dec. 2026, which gives it a great shelf life of 2 years and 8 months since receiving. Overall, it’s good, but not for me. 3/5 stars.

    Mind and Body Protein… 📚Pros: Tastes surprisingly delicious, high protein content, gluten-free and vegan, plant-based. 📚Cons: Looks like it mixed well with my handheld mixer but ended up with a decent amount of “sludge” in the bottom of my mug. Just added a little water and drink it. So not that big of a deal. 📚Summary: I’m working on getting more protein in my diet and not being a big meat eater, I have to get creative. Protein powder is one of the ways that I’ve been doing that. I’ve mixed this in with fruit and yogurt for a smoothie and it worked great! I mixed a half a scoop with my coffee, blending it with a hand mixer and it gives it a little bit of a foamy top comma sort of reminiscent of a coffee house beverage lol. It looked like it had mixed well but when I got to the bottom of my big coffee mug I was left with a decent amount of protein sludge. It wasn’t a big deal, I just added a little water and drank it down. I used a 1/2 a scoop in my big mug of coffee, a whole scoop would have been a little too sweet for me. I do use a whole scoop in my smoothies and it’s perfect. I also like to add protein powder to oatmeal and quinoa breakfast bowls and this works great. Versatile and delicious 👍👍

    This protein powder tastes great and blends easy. The protein source is pea (see pic). The mushroom blend is new to me and I’m encouraged about its benefits. I really like that it’s sugar free too. I strength train and try to get around 150 grams of protein a day (I weigh 175 lbs) and protein powder is a MUST for my protein needs. Plant protein is also a must for me, and pea is a fine source, particularly when combined with other protein sources, be it meat, eggs, soy, etc. I gather part of the price is the mushroom blend. It does taste like a Chocolate Shake!

    This shake mix is easy to use, and prepares creamy and rich shake in water with no issues. The shake tastes good, the vanilla flavor, and the mushrooms come through strongly. There’s a slight aftertaste. There’s a mild pleasant aroma with the mix and mixed with liquid. These shakes work very well for me for my high protein, low carb diet, which I like.     This protein powder was hard to mix, more so than my usual powder. It does have a vanilla flavor, but also a bit chalky. But what I really didn’t like was the faint taste of mushrooms. So really I can’t downgrade this as it very clearly states it’s a mushroom derived powder, just didn’t think it would alter the taste this much. If you are a mushroom fan, go for it!

    I’ll start right out by saying that there’s a reason why out of the 7 pictures in the product listing for this protein powder, none of them show the ingredients. That’s because while they list the protein aspects of this as pea and rice, it’s just pea. If you look at the provided picture you see that there is more salt and more stevia in this blend than rice protein. That’s just disappointing. Like all pea protein products, it has the normal “sour pea protein” after taste. They tried to offset that taste with a grand amount of cocoa powder, and for the most part it works, but honestly you can’t really hide that sour after taste. Also, the powder itself is very fine. It’s fine enough that it floats away once you dump a scoop in your shaker. It’s fine enough that it gets all over everything in a very thin dust. It’s annoying as any protein powder can be when it comes to keeping everything inside the jar. Nutritionally, it’s about 70% protein as measured by calories. That’s a pretty normal number for pea protein, and while there is a nice mushroom blend, that adds very little to the “classical” nutrition. I won’t speak directly about the health benefits of the mushroom blend, other than to say that these mushrooms have become quite popular lately. This is a nice place to put the blend in, especially if you plan on consuming this protein every day. For me, this protein blend is rather weak. I’m not a fan of pure pea protein powders, and generally like to see more rice, hemp, and other vegan sources. I doubt I would have gotten this had they included the actual ingredient label, and my reviewer elects that. 3-stars. There are a lot of better choices out there.

    I occasionally consume some Plant-Based proteins because they provide very good health benefits as well. This supplement contains 20 grams of Plant-Based vegan protein sourced from pea and rice, 5 mushrooms, 4 minerals etc. It seems to be well formulated. The taste is not my favorite but acceptable. I like the fact that it is sugar free, gluten free, non-GMO, dairy free and soy free. Compared to animal protein, plant-based protein may not contain all 9 essential amino acids. I hope that amino acids are clearly listed in the product description. It would be nice if it could list where the ingredients are sourced, and where the supplement is manufactured in the description.

    This basd mind & body protein powder is alright. I usually mix protein powder in my oatmeal for breakfast and this powder added a light chocolate flavor and sweetness compared to others. It mixed in well and it has a very powdery texture so I needed to add more milk than usual. The protein arrived very fresh with an expiration date out over 2 years from receiving it.
