   First off I want to say I love Amazing Grass products. My hubby and I have bought the Plant Protein Blend All-In-One Shake in the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor for years. No hate just throwing my two cents comparing the powder from 2021 and the new formula container I purchased a few weeks ago. When trying this with oat milk I instantly realized it tasted sweeter. I love sweet foods and sweets in general but it tasted a tad too sweet for my taste. The previous formula of the chocolate peanut butter used ‘2 grams of stevia leaf extract for the 792 gram powder size container’ versus the ‘ 1 gram stevia leaf (Reb A) for the new reformulated 756 grams container’ Even though it’s one gram less the stevia leaf (Reb A) tastes sweeter to me. Other info for the ‘before’ and ‘current formula’ shown in photos. The older formula cost $39.99 and the new one was $44.85 with a coupon knocked it down to around $42. I don’t mind shelling out money for quality products. But I feel a little let down when the amount of product for the new formula is less. Plus I enjoyed having more dietary fiber in the previous formula.

   The reason I use this product rise my protein level to give plasma and it works great. If I don’t use it protein mostly 6.3 that with Whey protein. When I use this 6.7 protein when being tested for protein lvl. That taste is horrible, and I got the peanut butter. Long it rise my protein level I keep buying.

   This, “Organic Plant Protein Blend” in Vanilla flavor from Amazing Grass is about as I expected based on it’s listing here. I’ve used often certain, “Greens” drinks from Amazing Grass and always have been fine with their product, ingredients, quality, however their Plant Protein products are new to me. The flavor is “Vanilla”, but I find this Vanilla flavoring to be a bit lighter than other Vanilla flavored protein powders I’ve also used. When mixing this powder alone with water, I find it no problem to mix in a shaker cup. It’s a little bit gritty in texture, but that is normal for Plant Protein drinks. There is a Vanilla flavor, though it’s light, it’s not a very strong Vanilla flavor. The supplement Facts reads that each serving is 1 scoop (37g) and one should get 20 servings per container, and with each serving 20g of protein. The ingredients are simple, and this protein powder includes many various types of proteins. The ingredients in the Protein Blend are: – Pea Protein – Brown Rice Protein – Hemp Protein – Quinoa protein All of the ingredients after that are all sorts of various Greens, Fruits, and Vegetable powders. I’ve included a photo of the label on this jar that lists all of the ingredients. There is a scoop enclosed in the container, however powders tend to settle, so I just weigh out the amount of powder I want. You have to decide how much water you want to use, there is a suggested serving of 37g of powder which provides 20g of protein, but myself, I sometimes prefer a bit less per serving when I want to spread out the Protein throughout the day. I’ve used the full 37g scoop with 12oz water, as recommended on the label, and I had no issue mixing it in a shaker cup. The powder is fine, and mixes well. The taste is pretty good, it’s a vanilla taste that is not heavy, but light. The mixed protein drink did have a bit of a light chalky texture, but not much, and nothing unexpected from a plant-based protein powder. Overall, this protein mix tastes good, is easy to drink, my stomach handles it fine.

   Same review as chocolate flavor … tried both flavors in case one was better but no. Very disappointed in the new formula – tastes terrible ….like artificial sweetener and a bitter after taste. It doesn’t shake like it used to either with my blender ball bottle.. it chunks up with those awful little powder balls. Maybe it blends better in an actual blender but I don’t have time to do that daily. I hate that I have to find a replacement as this was my go-to.

   This is a GOOD protein powder. I say good because the only thing keeping it back from being GREAT is the flavor. It has an excellent ingredient profile, and it mixes well enough in a blender (although the powder is a bit clumpy so I imagine if you are just using a shaker you may get some clumps). The biggest problem is the flavor. On one hand, it is clear to me that they are definitely using some greens in this shake: but that’s the problem as well — it tastes like it! My hunch is you are probably getting a healthy amount of ground up greens simply based on the fact that they were not able to hide the flavor of them very well! So while it may taste a bit like whatever the flavor says on the container, get ready for a strong dose of what tastes a bit like ground up grass as well! For those who are regulars, this isn’t a big deal, but for the un-initiated, you may struggle just a bit!

   Want to add nutrition to your daily routine without much effort? You could purchase pre- made shakes, but a more economical means to better health is through the use of added powder and a possible option is Amazing Grass Organic Plant Protein Blend. This protein powder is made entirely from plants. It is most noted for the plant- based protein it delivers, but there is also a good deal of iron, Vitamin K, and other nutrients. The veggies and fruits are great for those of the vegan or vegetarian persuasion, as this product provides complete protein without any animal ingredient sources. You can use this powder as an additive to milk, water, or as part of a smoothie. I have tried it with almond milk and with water, with mixed results. It doesn’t dissolve all that well, so I recommend shaking it vigorously if you decide to go with milk or water. Blending it into a smoothie is the best way to go. As for the taste, well, it depends on what you mix it with. It wasn’t that tasty mixed with almond milk or water, but it would probably taste perfectly fine added to a smoothie. Getting a quick 20 grams of plant- based protein is what Amazing Grass Organic Plant Based Protein Blend is all about. This, and the other nutrients, make it a good choice for your nutrition needs. I have tasted better, but this product still has enough going for it to recommend.

    The flavor is terrible. I don’t know that I can finish the container. Does not taste like peanut butter anymore. Just chemical sweet with horrible after taste. The price is higher, but the amount per serving has decreased. The container is 1.66lb instead of the previous 1.74. They removed the chia seed protein and added brown rice protein and changed the amounts of other proteins. Three whole grams less of fiber (was 7g and is now 4g). I’m not sure how there is “more nutrition” in here now as the label says. Disappointing as this was the only protein supplement I have used for 6 or 7 years.

    Blends nicely with the combination I’ve come up with to drink this. First time doing anything protein shake base, like this alot. I’m lactose, so I use coconut milk and almon milk together just for a bit of sweetness. And if I want more of a chocolate taste or peanut butter I’d just add it to the mix.

    Whether you like this or not, will depend on how much taste you are willing to sacrifice in order to get this down. If I was rating this just on taste I’d give it one star. It’s just not appealing. It’s not quite gross but it is definitely not appealing. It mixes fairly well in water but was still a little lumpy after shaking it up. Generally, the worse these things taste, the better they probably are for you. As far as I can tell this has no sweetener and no added flavor. Naturally, that makes it taste not sweet or like candy as lots of other protein shakes tend to. If you want taste, don’t buy this. If you want a good healthy powder mix to blend in with smoothies or other things that may have some sweeteners or other flavors in them, then this is a good choice. In the more green shake market like this, my go to is “MacroLife Naturals Macro Greens Powder”. That powder is loaded with greens but when mixed with just water it tastes like a slightly less sweet version of Bolthouse Farms “Green Goodness”. I’d guess it has some sort of sweetener added to it because it taste MUCH better with just water than this stuff does. If you like the ingredients of this shake and like (what I think is) a sort of gross green type flavor or want something like this to mix in with a smoothie, this is probably for you. If you want a protein powder that comes premixed to taste good (and by good I mean sweeter, or like berries or vanilla or something like that), then you should keep looking. If you want something like this that tastes better when simply mixed with water, then go for “MacroLife Naturals Macro Greens Powder”.

    I have used many types of protein powders over the last 15 years and for the last 5 I have only used plant-based powders. I know that dairy-based powders do usually taste better but I am trying to use plant-based ingredients and am willing to sacrifice taste. This chocolate-peanut butter flavor was new to me and I really like it as a smoothie base. It is sweet but not overpowering. I am very sensitive to sugar substitutes and usually can’t stand that taste. This powder uses Stevia leaf extract but it’s one of the last ingredients so it’s not too strong. You can definitely taste the grassiness/earthiness of the plant ingredients but I actually like that taste. I do have to say that the scoop is huge! I think it’s the size of 2 typical protein powder scoops. My recipe: 3/4 cup almond milk 1/3 cup ice 1 scoop Amazing Grass protein powder 3-4 frozen banana slices

    We’ve been using Amazing Grass’s Organic Plant Protein Blend (AKA: Superfood) for years now, This new version has all the same ingredients, a good balanced mixture of different nutritious foods. Mixing it with water or choice of liquid, this is how we start our days… The only thing that is different is the taste of the chocolate which we were used to for years, which was smooth & chocolatey, just the way we liked it. Well…. the new taste has a bit of a different version I’m sure we’ll get used to. (But, I have had some success with mixing a bit of organic cacao powder in some warmish to hot water separately, then mixing it with the prepared drink… )

    I was a hardcore Vega fan for years. Simply converted when they changed their formula and just didn’t taste that great. Then, I started using Orgain, Amazing Grass and Garden of Life. For the Amazing Grasss brand, I preferred the chocolate and typically use the vanilla one to mix with fruit or fruit juice to hide some of the vanilla flavor. The one thing I really like is the powder blends very well and doesn’t taste grainy. I tried the chocolate with peanut butter, the chocolate and the original formulas. Taste is a personal preference but I can tell you that I really enjoyed the chocolate flavors with coconut or cashew milk. I even made the chocolate with with ice coffee and coconut milk. As for price, I tend to go for the larger containers where the costs is about $2.38 per serving, container has 22 servings with 1 scoop. While the smaller containers are only 12 servings and about $2.50 per serving. The chocolate and peanut butter and the chocolate containers have 10 and 18 serving size containers and the vanilla has 11 and 20 serving size containers. Overall, I am really pleased with the taste and blend of superfood ingredients and low amount of sodium and no sugar added. The original formal is the most versatile, I can mix it with fruits, green or cacao based drinks. I feel full but not bloated.

    So I kind of have mixed feelings about this Amazing Grass chocolate protein powder. On the plus side, I really like the taste and texture. The chocolate flavor is very pleasant and the sweetening is fairly natural tasting. It also dissolves quite easily and has a better texture than most whey-based powders. I also like the nutrition profile that keeps the carbs low. Unfortunately, the container only has 10 servings which isn’t a lot for the price. In addition, the included scoop it HUGE and is a pain in the rear to retrieve from the bottom of the container when you first open it. I’d much rather they have included a smaller scoop – nothing says you can’t add 2 or 3 small scoops to make one serving instead of having a massive and cumbersome scoop right? Overall, I’ll give it mostly good marks for the supplement itself.

    I eat mostly vegan (health issues) and was looking for a protein/essential vitamin blend that would meet all my essential needs. This product does all that alone with 20 grams of protein. What drew me to this blend specifically is the amount of organic ingredients: pea, quinoa, hemp, brown rice, wheat grass, spirulina, broccoli, spinach, beet, carrot, banana, pineapple, raspberry, cherry, algae and more. As well as the product is also organic compliant, non-GMO, natural, kosher and vegan. The directions state to add one scoop (37g) to water, milk (plant-based milk) or a smoothie. I added it to coconut milk so I could test the taste and the ability to blend. At first it was clumpy, and it didn’t blend very well with a spoon, a whisk, or a small blender. Finally, I put it in a Vitamix blender and let it go and after a few minutes it came out smooth and thickened. It has a soft green color and has a nice flavor. There is nothing overpowering in the taste, as in no one flavor stands out; well maybe the vanilla but even that is a subtle flavor. It is also not at all sweet which is beyond wonderful. I do think it is a tiny bit grainy and that is just the nature of these powders as I have never had one that wasn’t at least a bit grainy. I think the serving size is large for me and it did take me a long time to get this down, but that is all personal preference. As the quantity, the container states that it has 11 servings in the container and that seems fair and comparable to similar non-plant-based blends. As for the price/quality. This is on the more expensive side, but I have no qualms about paying it. It is ALL organic, all plant-based, has only one of the top eight allergens (and one lesser common allergen). All that adds up to be to be a quality product with the price. *Allergens: Does contain coconut oil creamer and pea protein.

    For starters, this is a somewhat low-ish carb protein powder, which is a good thing (for me at least). I’ve tried quite a few different protein powders and have yet to find my holy grail. This one, unfortunately, falls pretty short for me. Nutritionally, I think it’s sound, but the ingredient list is quite long. It is a bit high in sodium as well at 14% DV, which is more than twice what some other protein powders have. I will finish this tub and feel like in a pinch it will do the job, but the flavor is not great. The texture is a bit on the grainy side. It does break up pretty well in a blender bottle so that’s a plus. I don’t get any random bubbles of powder. But it tastes a bit chalky and flat.

    So, you may have figured based on the other reviews, this stuff doesn’t taste particularly good. For the record, most plant based protein doesn’t. However, this is much better for you and more than just a protein shake. You get a high end organic ingredient list, two cups of fruits/veggies, and a nice blend of greens. Plus the 20g of protein! All for 140 total calories. I recommend going smoothie here. Some almond milk, banana, and blueberries is my go-to. The taste is fine for that. By itself, not so good. If you are simply looking for a protein supplement, and animal products don’t bother you, just get some good whey protein. This is much more expensive. However, if you want something healthier or are trying to maintain a vegan / vegetarian diet, this stuff is absolutely worth the extra expense.

    I added one scoop of this Organic Plant Protein blend to a glass of cold milk. After vigorous stirring, I waited 1 minute, during which I noticed that the powder formed a thin layer on top of my milk. I stirred again. The powder mixed with the milk; but, when I let the milk-powder mixture settle, the powder again formed a thin layer on top. When I finished drinking the milk-powder mixture, I saw there was very little left of the powder at the bottom of the glass. I tasted mostly the milk flavor, and just a bit of the powder, which had a grassy-type of taste. I also mixed this powder with orange juice. When I drank the mixture, I tasted mostly the orange juice, and just a bit of the grassy taste of the powder. I mixed one scoop of the powder with water. I did not like the result, which was a strong earthy/grassy taste. This product comes in a plastic container, with an inner protective seal. The scoop is not visible; it is deeper within the powder. I used a long spoon to unearth the scoop. Expiration date is located to the side of the Nutrition Facts info. Mine expires 06/2023. Overall, I like the nutritional value I get from this powder (20 grams protein, 7 greens, 2 cups fruits & vegetables, Vit C, Vit D, iron, etc). It’s very fast and convenient to make. I just added it to milk or orange juice, drank the mixture, and then continued with my activities for the day.

    I’ve used this protein for over a year in chocolate and vanilla. Recently, the chocolate has become hard to find. I ordered this chocolate peanut butter. Not only was it green in color but it doesn’t taste like chocolate or peanut butter. It’s ruined my stomach all day from the first try. It’s a waste of money for protein and I can’t return it. It tastes terrible. Almost like they mixed up the ingredients. Do not purchase this product. Do not waste your money. Plenty of other plant based protein powders on the market. If I could return it I would. Instead, they won’t let me and I’ll end up throwing it away and wasting my money. Consider yourself warned.

    Finally, a “green” protein powder that doesn’t taste like lawn. In fact, this Amazing Grass Plant Protein doesn’t “taste” like much of anything. After experimenting with it a little, I’ve found it best as is. I tried it with a couple of different fruity flavored mixes, and found it was better on its own (for me). I just add a generous scoop (included and large) to a water bottle (~24oz) and I can shake or blend and get the same result. The powder is highly soluble, without floaters or clumps. No overpowering earthy, grassy scent. No real flavor and not sweetened. The calories are a hint on the higher side than what I’m used to (140) for 20g of protein, but still, I’m pleased with the overall quality and nutrition this powder offers. It is my go-to when I’m not in the mood for vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate. If they are going to fill these bulky plastic tubes by weight, wasting about half the space inside, the makers should shift to a more space-friendly alternative like a high-quality resealable bag. Otherwise, I’m extremely pleased with what I got.

    Of the many supplement powders I’ve tried, Amazing Grass’ Vegan Organic Plant Protein Blend has the most authentic peanut butter taste. When using other “peanut” flavored powders, I’d normally add a dollop of the real thing capture that flavor. It’s not needed here. In fact, this tastes decent just mixed with water, but really shines when blended with the milk of your choice, or incorporated into a smoothie. I recommend the latter because there is a slight gritty mouthfeel, but it is much better than most plant based protein superfood powders I’ve had. Suprisingly, both my wife and I don’t detect much if any Chocolate flavor. That didn’t bother us though. I suppose it is overwhelmed by the peanut butter flavor and is something to bear in mind if you want chocolate. Or perhaps it is more of a raw cacao flavor present. Interestingly there are no peanuts included, only flavoring. Anyway, it tastes wholesome and healthy. Speaking of which, this Plant Protein Blend is more than a simple protein powder. It is closer to a meal replacment and is an overall healthy drink treat for just about any occasion. That fits because each scoop is a whopping 42 grams and contains the equivalent of 2 cups of fruits and veggies. Once I fished the scoop out from somewhere in the middle of the container, I was pleased to see that there was very little settling and that it remained mostly full. That’s good because there’s only about 18 servings per container, coming out to $2.86 each. Still, considering the nutrient density and quality, organic ingredients, that isn’t outrageous.     I’m primarily on a plant-based diet and as a result I often try to supplement my protein needs with protein powders. I do prefer a pea protein over a whey as it’s a bit easier on the kidneys although I like both. I have friends whose preference is just the opposite as they find pea protein to be on the gritty side. There are a full 42 grams of protein per serving, almost my entire requirement for the day. I added some of this Amazing Grass Organic Plant Protein Blend to my yogurt and it mixed quite well. I didn’t add a full scoop, which provides that massive protein infusion, but rather eyed it. I don’t do smoothies so can’t say if this will mix well but I suspect it will do so easily enough. The chocolate peanut butter taste was quite good, however, we’re not looking at a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup here. The taste is slightly muted, if you can call it that, but very good. When I opened up, the protein powder there was a bit of clumping to the powder, but it wasn’t an issue. I could smell that peanut butter! It’s got that all-important USDA Organic seal and non-GMO, a must for many individuals. This Amazing Grass protein powder is an excellent choice for the vegan or vegetarian.     I honestly really dislike this protein powder because of the taste. I tried it several different ways and can never eat more than a bite of whatever I added it to. It doesn’t have a very strong peanut butter/chocolate flavor which could be a pro or a negative depending on what you want to do with it. Since that flavor is so mild, I think it would make a good addition to a lot of things. However, that is only if you can get past the strong after taste. I personally can NOT. I guess it is probably because of the Stevia, which I usually do not use for the same reason. It does have a lot of great ingredients though, so if the aftertaste of Stevia doesn’t bother you, you’d probably really like this. This morning I put some in my pancake batter to give it one last try. As it was cooking, I noticed red liquid oozing up out of it kind of like blood would do with a piece of meat (see pic). It made me laugh but this could possibly be off-putting to some vegans.
