   My biggest complaint with vegan protein powder is it’s always a grainy. Like when you drink some sometimes it’s like drinking sand. But this is much smoother. It’s not whey smooth but it’s getting there, congratulats to Gorilla Gulps.

   My complaints are that from when I looked you could only buy in 1.5lb packs (I usually buy in 5-10lb range) and that I’d like a milk chocolate flavor. (Also it’s a little pricey compared to whey)

   BTW not vegan just trying to be a little healthier

   I’m always looking for a good vegan protein powder. I’ve tried several on the market and I’m really disappointed. This product is no exception. It has a decent Cocoa flavor, but it is a little heavy on the Stevia aftertaste. This isn’t a big problem when mixed with smoothies, but I sampled it out of the bag for this review, and the Stevia test didn’t leave my mouth. 23 g of protein per scoop is really good and it mixes well. Overall, I am pleased to find another organic, vegan, no added sugar, protein powder to add to my shake regimen.

   OK, I’m gonna be fussy on this review: I suspect that this protein powder does what it claims to do but I had a couple of issues. #1 was opening the bag. It’s a sealed bag with a zip lock type seal approx 3/4″ from the top of the bag. Above the zip lock closure are two indents, one on each end of the bag, for opening. When I received the bag I could tell that the zip lock was open and that powder was massed at the top. I tried to shake the powder down but when I opened the bag, powder flew all over my counter. Next item: the “scoop” was buried toward the bottom of the bag. Had to dig it out and got my hand pretty dirty. Last item: the taste wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. After preparing with 2% milk I let it sit for a minute and then gave it a taste. The “plant” taste was clearly evident and the blend was a bit gritty. Not for me. Pass.

   Love the ingredients and amount of protein you get from this protein powder. Finding a good tasting plant protein is tough and this doesn’t taste great with just water. I’m going to try blending it with other smoothie ingredients to mask the taste.
   Also the packing was tough to reseal after opening. I will have to put this in a different container to keep it sealed.

   I usually put it in my milkshake, I know this is healthy, but it has a after taste that I don’t like . May be it is just a personal preference. The serving is also really big, to taste cannot be hidden. I think I would prefer a plain one with not soo strong after taste

   Doesn’t taste chalky and I like the vanilla flavor. It mixes well with my banana shakes I make in the morning. It’s hard finding good vegan protein powders, so I’m glad I found Gorilla Gulps. It is a little on the higher end in price, but I think not having to struggle through another morning to drink my morning shake because of a chalky powder is worth it 100%.

   This powder mixes better than any other powder I’ve used. It doesn’t have a chalky taste, it is very smooth. I love that I can blend this easily in my blender bottle. I’ve used Orgain for many years, but I’ve been looking for something with more eco friendly packaging. I hate the large plastic tubs that the other protein comes in. I like that this is pouch.

   I’ve never had a non-whey or milk based protein powder before picking up this Gorilla Gulp, and was excited to see how it blending into my almond milk smoothies! The flavor is good, and it mixed up fine both with my stick blender and in a shaker bottle. I didn’t notice any plant aftertaste, and couldn’t really tell a difference from other proteins. The price is really the only downside, which I suppose is at a premium given the vegan niche. If you’re in that camp, this is a great alternative, and is also organic to boot!

    I originally ordered Naked Whey and found it upset my stomach so I thought I would give this a try. I have not had any negative side effects with Gorilla Gulps. The best part is that it actually takes great with no after taste . I love the fact that it is vegan, has 23g of Protein and it has the essential amino acids and BCAAs I need in each serving, but I am so picky about taste and this was delicious with no upset tummy. I highly recommend that you give this a try.

    I have been using protein powder for the last few years, all of which were fairly based products. I learned from one of my friends about this pure organic plant-based protein and decided to try it. After using it for a couple of days, I can say that this is a high-quality product. The flavor of this product is a little different from the daily ones, and the more you use it, the more you will get used to it. It mixes week with water and milk and gives a thick and even texture to the shake thus giving more fulfilling satisfaction.
