   Love at first sip! I had been working out for a little over a month and wanted to give whey protein a go, since I’ve never taking supplements before, I wasn’t sure where to start and decided to try a single packet of Chocolate Flavor Ascent Whey Protein provided to me by the gym, it was delicious! My only experience with protein had been terrible, took a sip of someone’s shake and tasted disgusting, Ascent Chocolate Flavor tastes like a chocolate milkshake.    It tastes very sugary and sweet. Probably the stevia. I’ve had a million brands of protein. I am not at all impressed with this one. I’ve tried gold standard, muscle milk, muscle tech, Walmart brand, pure protein, amway brand, vital protein. I have to say even amway blows this stuff out of the water. The stevia just kills it for me. It tastes like overly sweet milk chocolate, it taste like it needs to be watered down but then seemingly can never be watered down enough to taste normal. Yeah I just don’t like this stuff. Won’t buy again and would love to get a refund on it.

    As you can see from the photo I provided, the ingredient label shown on the bestproteinpowder4women.net store for the vanilla bean whey protein powder is not what you will receive if you order this product. Importantly, the sweetener advertised is monk fruit which is GRAS (generally recognized as safe) by the FDA. The use of Stevia leaf extract however is noted as not approved as GRAS by the FDA and is what is in the product I received. Additionally, the sodium and cholesterol levels are considerably higher than what is advertised. From other comments here, this has been happening since at least spring of 2022 and has not been fixed as of the time of this review (12/12/22).

    I’ve tried a ton of protein powders and this is my favorite. Best quality and taste, and the price is great too. I use it to make protein smoothies, and add Greek non fat yogurt. Now I know what you’re thinking: “No way does it taste that good… he must mean delicious by protein drink standards” NOPE. I mean delicious in general, it’s THAT good! Incredibly easy to mix, either with water or if you really want to love it you will use milk like I do! I usually mix it with 1%, but every now and then I treat myself and mix it with whole milk. Talk about yum city!! They have smaller products available so you can make sure that you actually like it before you buy a big bag of it, but I can pretty much guarantee that you will love the Chocolate flavor as much as I do!     I keep a steady stock of Ascent Native Fuel on hand for many needs and purposes. Vanilla Bean is the best tasting Vanilla Whey I have ever laid lips on and is my daily use, Chocolate makes for awesome whey to cook healthy, sweet treats and awesome post dinner indulgent shakes with and the Unflavored I use in the mornings with almond milk for a nice wake me up. I also use their Micellar Casein every night before bed for slow release recovery and it makes an awesome casein pudding. For the important parts, this is a very lean protein profile made from natural processes and ingredients. I am in the gym with very heavy activity6 – 7 days per week with varying lifts of 1000 rep programs, supersets, and full concentration workouts and find recovery better with Ascent than any other protein Ive used and rebuilding muscle for the following gym day has yet to meet me with down time. Additionally I travel 45 weeks or more per year and the ability to easily roll/fold up the bag and keep and air tight seal without having to pack white powder in un-marked baggies or carry a big tub that takes up far too much space in my luggage is a huge packaging plus. Their single serving pouches makes for friendly race day carry along I highly recommend the use of Ascent.
