   I didn’t measure if it’s actually 1lb but this container packaging is ridiculously, just put in smaller container. I found also that brown rice protein really upsets my stomach too, even though it’s organic.

   This is a tough one. Due to severe allergies, I’m extremely limited on food options and protein powder sources. I’m VERY grateful that they make a pure rice powder without additives I can actually use. However, if you’ve tasted rice protein you know it doesn’t taste much better than cardboard. Doesn’t matter how much fruit or honey you add. Doesn’t matter which rice protein powder you pick. It all tastes equally as bad. But, if you’re on a super restricted diet like me and need something pure and high quality without additives, this is the one to choose. Hope this helps.

   I make fruit smoothies with this added and I think it tastes fine. In fact I tried a little on its own and it didn’t taste like much of anything, which is a good thing for a protein powder. The texture is a tiny bit gritty, but not enough to bother me. The only thing I questioned was the container size compared to the amount inside. I guess it’s still the weight as described on the label, but why not just get a smaller container? It looked like this when I opened it. About half full.

   I’ve been using this protein for years, but I’ll look for an alternative because of the packaging. The lid was glued to the paper safety seal, so the lid shattered when I tried to open it. Support offered no effective resolution. 5lbs of protein isn’t very useful without a container.

   This protein powder is great. Has no taste and isn’t gritty as some protein powders I’ve had. I have read the comments of people saying it’s gritty but I feel that’s only because they have been consuming products where it dissolves with additives. I was taking coconut protein powder prior to this one and I tell you THAT is gritty! I love that it doesn’t have a bunch of added stuff in it as well. It’s really hard to find protein powders that I can consume since I am allergic to whey, spinach and added thickeners and fake sugars don’t agree with me. Yay for Naked Rice! Only down side I noticed was that it said it was 75 servings. I know my servings were on the larger side, but it didn’t last me to 60 even.

   Folks, this product is filled by weight. Not volume. Do you complain about bags of chips having so much air? So on to the product review… This stuff is great! My friend and I have been using Naked products for a couple years- Creatine, Pea/ Rice Protein. Never had a “bad” batch between the two of us. I typically blend it in fruit and/ or veggies but sometimes chocolate milk or fruit juice. Not great in milk due to foaming but it works. No protein f@rts. I’m convinced gas is due to fillers and binders in some of the other powders. You get what you pay for. With Naked, you aren’t paying for junk in your powder!

    Bought this because pea proteins give me bloat and wanted to try rice protein powder. It’s bitter, can be made palatable depending on what you’re doing with it but when you’re tracking macros it’s not so great because as you know, everything you’re trying to mask the flavor with is more calories/carbs/fat. I’ve also noticed I’m bloated and it’s is also fever messy as some other reviews mention. I’ve had worse but definitely had better. I’ll finish it but won’t be buying again.

    Good stuff! I’m lactose and can’t even do the iso whey protein without stomach problems. However with this naked protein I can drink this throughout the day in between meal or with. I do recommend getting the pea protein also I do a scoop of each. Using this and naked carbs added about 10 pounds in 45 days. U can also add it in panecakss and other baked goods.

    I purchased this product monthly on bestproteinpowder4women.net for over a year. The container I received this weekend seems to be off. It smells strongly like paint or chemicals and is bitter and awful tasting. I usually enjoy the flavor of the Brown Rice. There is something wrong with this batch. I am afraid to consume it. I don’t know what is in it, but it smells and tastes contaminated. LOT #2-4081-HR expires 3/26I reached out The manufacturers response was alarming. They said “Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry you had a bad experience. Please reach out to bestproteinpowder4women.net’s customer service with this concern. They handle their own returns, etc. We apologize for the inconvenience.” There was no concern for the safety of the product or a possible need for investigation or recall. Not to mention I have been purchaing their products for over a year. Good luck finding any legitimate information about this company. Other than press about it’s founder, there is no HQ address anywhere to be found, and no corporate contacts in the US. Extremely worrisome. bestproteinpowder4women.net should ban this company for fraudulent claims about purity of ingredients and their products should be investigated for safety of consumption immediately. I referred this product to friends in the past. I will never buy their products again.

    My first reaction, like many others, was what the heck? Why put it in such a large container and only fill it 1/2 way? Seems wasteful. Unless you’re purposely trying to deceive us, just use a smaller container. Taste? I put 2 scoops in 8oz of Malk (plant based milk) and then blend that in my nutribullet. They I add a banana, 2 cups of frozen berries, and a splash of vanilla and blend again. It tastes fine. Didn’t notice a difference in the taste from when I don’t have the rice protein in my smoothie.

I’ve had a lot of trial and error, and this one is by far my favorite. It’s not often that I rate something with five full stars. “Nothing is truly THAT perfect”, my inner cynic nags me each time I review something – but this time, I feel that it’s appropriate. Let’s get straight into why it’s so great! — What I love about it: -NO ADDITIVES! No questionable ingredients that I can’t recognize or even pronounce. It’s just brown rice protein concentrate from sprouted brown rice. This is SO important, not just for your overall health, but for the sake of your digestion. Many protein powders I’ve tried contain fillers like inulin, which, while still derived from a plant-based and natural source, can cause stomach upset for some people. I happen to be one of these lucky ducks. What’s worse is that pea-based proteins can cause digestive issues for some people – also including myself. Awesome, right? Needless to say, this protein has been a life-saver! As you may expect, no additives does mean that it won’t taste great by itself. It’s a common complaint that vegan protein powders taste terrible, but I feel that this one is somewhat of an exception to that. It’s definitely not delicious, but it’s not NEARLY as gag-worthy as most, either. It’s bitter on its own, but hides well behind just about anything you add to it. Be prepared with your own flavoring and sweetener for your drink or baked goods. I sweeten with NOW foods Stevia powder. If you don’t like powdered stevia I highly suggest SweetLeaf’s Stevia drops in vanilla, vanilla creme, or caramel – or even just the plain one along with some vanilla extract. Get creative. Blend it up with some peanut butter, or what I personally prefer – a simple teaspoon of cocoa powder. As long as you add a sweetener, you can add any flavor you want and this protein will be almost undetectable. -IT’S VERSATILE! Not only can you drink this protein, you can also bake with it. Before going vegan, I used to try baking with Whey. Those of you who have tried to do that know how much Whey dries out your recipes. With this protein, it’s little different than a flour. All you have to do is substitute part of your dry mix for some of this protein, and you won’t be able to tell the difference. Attached in this review is a picture of some vegan banana oatmeal cookies that my daughter bakes with this protein. — What I don’t like about it – and there isn’t much: -Due to how dense this protein is, it tends to settle in a drink. All you have to do is make sure that you shake or stir your drink every few minutes so that you don’t leave a pile of protein at the bottom. Not a big deal. -There is a bitter aftertaste, but as I mentioned, it isn’t noticeable if you flavor it. -It’s messy. Something about this protein makes it magically get everywhere, where other proteins don’t. It’s as if it’s especially sensitive to static or something. I can’t explain why, but I can tell you that you should have a washcloth nearby.

    My son has a lot of food allergies (like 16+), so I was thrilled to find such a simple protein powder. I put it in smoothies, and the texture was great! No weird taste, either. My next plan is to make protein balls for him with this in them. I put it in my own smoothie and also enjoyed it— I’ll be using it for myself as well! I am allergic to corn, soy, and peanuts. Aside from that, I prefer things with simpler ingredients!

    Bought two different containers back to back wondering if the second one would be better bc the first one was so rancid and grainy . The second one was not better . At this point I have had 3 out of 10 batches taste rancid. When I don’t get a rancid one I like it ! Which is so frustrating but since you can’t return them even for a replacement I can’t waste money hoping I get a good batch . Recent reviews are all bad. These taste rancid , gritty , and bitter.
