Over the years, protein powders have gotten a LOT better. I remember back in 2012 when you’d buy a tub of this stuff and it’d basically be inedible. With time, brands slowly figured out that you can cover up the disgusting “protein-y” aftertaste with the right touch of an ungodly amount of sugar.
Nowadays, I really enjoy Dymatize’s fruity pebbles and cocoa pebbles flavors. Even in water, they taste fantastic with little to no bad aftertaste. What I also like about some other powders is that I can use them in minimalist fashion – water, a cup, and a spoon to mix with.
This product doesn’t have a bad flavor, but it is harder to mix without a blender and does not feel as full in terms of flavor profile as other products. I’d suspect that this would go fantastic if you are someone that uses a blender for protein shakes. Doubly so if you like to add fruits or other ingredients to your shakes. If not, I’d say other options are available.

Tastes good, but this is by far the clumpiest mess of a protein powder I’ve had in 25+ years of lifting/supplementing. Their choc/pb isolate is great … get that instead and avoid blueberry clump at all costs.

Massive sweetener overload. I ended up with half a measuring cup in a 1/2 gallon water jug, and the sweetener is still unpleasant. Consistency is somewhere between cornstarch and concrete powder, and clumps like a SOB. Impossible to just stir into a bigger water bottle, and even when mixing it in a shaker bottle first there are clumps everywhere. Shaking it up also makes it foam like nobody’s business, whcih doesn’t help things.
Unfortunately it can’t be returned due to being a food item.

If you want something that mixes quickly this might not be for you. That being said, if you are capable of patience (I am not always capable) then the powder does mix in completely after 10-15 minutes. It tastes great and I like it more than most clear whey products but I do get impatient with the mix.

I am a big fan of Blue Raspberry as a flavor for drinks, so was really looking forward to trying this one. Flavor wise it hit the mark without being overly sweet tasting, which I was very happy about. They also didn’t feel it was necessary to add in food coloring to make it blue, which I was extremely pleased with, since it isn’t necessary, yet so many companies do it for appearance. Protein wise, the 20g per serving is right on par with what I use for an afternoon protein drink.
Now the one thing I did experience, which is the reason for the 4 stars, is that the powder is a little sticky and didn’t mix up fully. I still had residue of unmixed powder on the lid of my shaker cup, and small pieces floating each time. It didn’t taste gritty, and I didn’t get the taste of unmixed powder so it became more of an appearance rather than an impact to the overall drink.
One thing I did do, was mix up a big batch in my blender and filled bottles for grab and go, which helped alleviate the experience I had with my shaker cup. Overall the quality is solid, and I am really happy with it.
