My favorite choice for protein is definitely whey, I like it way more than others like pea or soy. I did like the taste of this whey, it had a good quality to it, maybe because the source of the milk is from grass fed cows, I think it does make a difference. In each serving you get 20 grams of protein, great amount, 160mg of sodium from Himalayan salt, but it did not taste salty, and 10 grams of cane sugar, but it did not taste too sweet. As for the taste itself, it had a light dark chocolate taste, the cacao really stood out overall, it also had an airy feel to it. I have mostly been mixing this with water in my small personal blender, and it mixes completely, no clumps, and no grittiness to it at all. I usually make a shake before a long bike ride in the morning and this definitely gives me the boost I need.

This is a great whey protein. I love the three ingredients and that it is US made and grass-fed cows. And that the sugar is cane sugar (not an artificial kind). I wasn’t expecting it to be this sweet. But it’s a real sweet not a artificial sweater sweet which is a very nice change. I am used to no added sugar so it seems a bit overly sweet for me – but most Americans probably prefer it that way. I add this to our whole wheat pancakes and then I just add a bit less sugar and we’ve really enjoyed it! Great taste and quality. We are really happy with this brand and this specific whey protein. I’ve purchased both the Whey Protein Isolate and Concentrate from Opportuniteas. The Isolate is for a family member with lactose intolerance (can’t digest whey protein concentrate due to the presence of lactose). The rest of the family has no problem with the concentrate (which contains lactose), and in fact prefers protein concentrate. The review for the two products is pretty similar as other than the processing that further removes the lactose from the whey to create the concentrate, the two are very similar in taste, texture, and quality. We are very pleased with the protein powder: high quality, grass-fed, non-GMO, with no added ‘anythings’ – no sugars, preservatives, chemicals, flavors, etc. First, the taste: Absolutely no taste, no smell. If you didn’t actually see me putting the powder into the blender, you wouldn’t know it was in the smoothies. (Other than the fact that you are full for a long time after drinking the smoothie due to the high protein content). Really glad that it does not have a flavor. We really like to ‘taste’ our smoothies: taste the fruit, the cinnamon, the ground flax seeds, instead of tasting the artificially flavored powders from so many vendors. Texture: It’s pretty dense powder. The packaging suggestions 2 scoops per serving. I use the large cup that comes with the Nutribullet, and with almond milk, some frozen berries and ½ banana, there isn’t much room left for more than 1 scoop of protein isolate powder. (Which does take the protein grams down to about 14). Unlike other protein powders I’ve used in the Nutribullet, none of the Opportuniteas powder stuck to the sides of the blending cup or clumped. It blended extremely evenly and rapidly – and certainly no grittiness. It stays evenly blended, even when I leave the smoothie in the fridge for a few hours or until the next day. (I can’t say if it lasts longer than that because smoothies never last that long around here!) Packaging: It comes completely sealed in a very informative package. (All the relevant information: Non-GMO, gluten free, grass fed, nutritional information, carbs, etc.) The bag reseals very tightly to keep the powder fresh between uses. What is whey: Whey is the liquid portion of the milk that separates from curds during the process of making cheese. It contains protein, fat, carbs, vitamins and minerals. In terms of protein powder, it is easily absorbable and has been shown to boost ‘glutathione’ (GSH) an important and water-soluble antioxidant. It is also extremely high in amino acids. Uses: As a family, we utilize protein powder not to bulk up (there are some great reviews here from body builders who focus specifically on the muscle-building benefits of whey), but instead to provide a sustained energy level throughout the day and before/during/after a workout. Usually that means mixing the powder into smoothies although I’ll occasionally make oatmeal or oat bran with powder (haven’t tried this yet with the Opportuniteas). The ability to drink a smoothie over an extended period of time and have such a high protein content keep you full for a long time, while keeping your energy up for either intense cardio or cross training workouts (or just a really busy day) is great. I am really pleased with the Opportuniteas powder. If you have lactose intolerance or are FODMAP, try the Isolate from Opportuniteas – it is equally good and compatible with that diet.

I actually don’t use this as a protein drink. I use it as coffee creamer. One scoop in my large mug, mixed up with a frother and I get a nice, warm, mug of yum. It’s low carb, gives me a little boost of protein and makes me feel like I’m indulging. It’s super hard to find a protein mix that doesn’t have artificial sweeteners in it. That is a huge selling point for me with this product. I have noticed, however, that bestproteinpowder4women.net has stopped selling the vanilla flavor, so I’ll probably try to find it elsewhere.

I’m really impressed with this vanilla protein powder. What I was most excited for is that it doesn’t contain any added or artificial ingredients so I can use this in my baking. I love to pump up desserts with protein but you really have to use high quality protein like this with no additives or your end result will not taste good. They also change the chemistry of baking and things don’t rise or have the texture they properly should. But this protein is says right on the website “for cooking and baking.” After baking chocolate chip cookies and muffins with this protein they came out great ! The protein itself has a mildly sweet vanilla flavor so it doesn’t overpower when you use it in baked goods. It didn’t add any artificial taste or weird texture either. The ingredients are simple : 1. Whey protein 2. Vanilla 3. Sugar The simplicity of this protein makes it perfect to bake or cook with. It’s a bit pricey for me for an everyday protein shake but I will continue to buy this for my baking when I want to punch up the protein content and make healthier desserts. 5 stars.

I found this product searching for RAW MILK WHEY PROTEIN. The description of this product is misleading. In this page it describes itself as “Cold processing (as opposed to heat pasteurization which strips out natural health benefits)” and “low temperature cold microfiltration”. In the back of it’s package it is written: “It’s pasteurized only once” Sorry but it can’t be both. If it is pasteurized it is not raw.

They did a nice job with this protein. Whey has always been and continues to be one of the best sources of quality protein, and to me tastes better than most of the alternatives. I like that it only has four ingredients, all of which I am familiar with. In particular, I’m glad they went with sugar for a sweetener instead of something more exotic like sucralose or stevia. Sugar does have few calories, but I know what it is, and it’s been around a long time. These other non-caloric sweeteners scare me a bit. The bag is easy to open and reseals nicely. Scoop is included. Powder is fine-grained and mixes very well. I did not have any clumps in my shaker bottle. The taste is pretty standard for a whey protein shake with a little flavor and sweetener. Palatable and better than a lot of healthy shakes, but it’s not like having chocolate ice cream or a milk shake at the drive-through. I was surprised to see that the bag did not contain a recipe for how much liquid to how much powder. I used 1 cup milk and 2 scoops whey (1 serving size according to the label). That ratio mixed well and tasted right to me. My only complaint is this the implication that grass-fed dairy products are some sort of super premium option compared to regular dairy products. All dairy cows are fed primarily grass, so regular whey protein is made from milk from cows that were fed mostly grass. Maybe purely grass-fed cows get a little more grass, but I am not convinced that the resulting milk is any better or healthier. If there is some benefit, it doesn’t show up in the product nutrition label, and is therefore, in my opinion, just marketing. If I were a typical high school or college kid looking to add muscle with whey protein, I couldn’t justify spending nearly twice the price of regular whey just to say it’s grass-fed. If, however, you’re convinced that grass-fed is the way to go for you, then this is a very good option.

What I like about this whey protein powder is that it actually tastes like the chocolate flavor it advertises. The ingredient list mentions that it is made with extra rich cacao powder. This does taste pretty rich and tastes a heck of a lot better than some of the other chocolate protein powders I’ve tried in the past. Speaking of cacao… this is a far better and more nutritiously advantageous ingredient to use instead of cocoa. The majority of the other protein powders out there I have tried in the past are made with cocoa, which is not as nutritious of a form as cacao. Finally, this is a grass fed source, meaning that the quality of the whey is much more dense. It is more well rounded and nutritionally charged than if you were to use conventional whey protein.

Details: Bag that reseals, contains a little measuring cup inside. Has roughly enough for 12 shakes of two scoops each. I got chocolate and while it is definitely chocolate it also doesn’t have an overpowering taste. It is slightly sweet but not too sweet, a very stark difference from a brand such as muscle milk that is very sweet. This definitely does require a protein shaker or some sort of mixing device, using a spoon to mix will not suffice and it will clump like crazy since it seems hydrophobic. Pros: Flavors and sweetness is not too strong, so I can actually imagine using this in recipes or food. As a drink it took me a few shakes to get used to the mild sweetness since I am used to the high sugar content found in the muscle milk brand. However once I got used to it, it is quite palatable and nice to drink. The selling point of this brand is the mission statement and the ingredients or lack thereof. Cons: It is pricier than most other brands of protein shakes. Value: The overall value depends on how much you value their mission statement and the ingredients. There are few other brands that are as selective as this one and it depends how much more you are willing to pay for these values. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest protein powder I would be considering another brand, but otherwise I think this is definitely a great premium protein powder!

I put this grass-fed whey protein concentrate to the test in a glass of 2% organic milk to see if there was any change of flavor and it actually has a very light, creamy flavor to it which I really enjoyed. I added 2 scoops, mixed it up with a fork and I ended up with a creamy, frothy glass of milk with 24 grams of high quality protein. This powder is very smooth and has an almost powdered milk smell to it. I wasn’t sure how my stomach would handle it since I usually drink isolates, but it did not cause any bloating or digestive issues whatsoever. Love that this product is gluten free, Non GMO, hormone free, made in the USA and of course grass fed so you know you are getting quality stuff and it makes me happy that the cows are living a quality life. I love the high quality ingredients in this protein shake and that may warrant the hefty price, but it has a very light—almost nonexistent flavor and they use real sugar so I don’t think it is very keto-friendly. We’ve had grass-fed beef and haven’t been impressed with the flavor, but the grass-fed milk and its derivative whey protein is fantastic. It’s a very clean taste that’s easy to mix. There are no lumps or clumps after a good shake. It also doesn’t froth up, which I’ve experienced in other shakes. But the flavor is pretty non-existent (I tried the vanilla). I used this in unsweetened vanilla almond milk and I barely noticed a difference from the almond milk. It doesn’t taste bad, it’s just like milk though. They also advertise this as keto-friendly and while the sugar is “organic” it’s still sugar and kinda ruins any keto you have going. I think the sugar will help with digestion but there isn’t much fat, which is integral to keto. They could have supplemented with a bit of stevia to make it organic and flavorful without messing up the keto.

I wanted to try this whey powder to add protein to my smoothies. It has 20 grams in 2 scoops, 140 calories, 2.5g fat, and 10g of sugar. I like that it’s from grass-fed, hormone free cows. It tastes a little milky, but it doesn’t taste chocolaty enough for my liking. I wish it was sweeter tasting with more chocolate flavor. I also wish it had stevia instead of cane sugar. That would make it sweeter. If you like mild chocolate flavor and things that are less sweet, you may like this powder.

I thought this was so yummy! Best protein shake I’ve made that tasted like a dessert. It may be a little pricey, but worth it for me in the long run because I only use 1 scoop per shake. I used my magic bullet blender. I added 1 scoop of the whey powder, half tablespoon cocoa powder, a frozen banana, 3/4 cup almond milk, half tablespoon chia seeds, and a handful of ice. Blended it all, and voila! Only a few wholesome ingredients, high in protein, but lower in calories than other brands. I highly recommend using a blender and serving cold to get the consistency of a milkshake.
