Great taste and they give you plenty for the price. I recommend mixing in smoothies adds to the taste and increased protein. Simple to mix, with a nice texture almost creamy. Great overall quality with good chocolate taste.

I have not been impressed with many protein powders, but this one was surprisingly good. I used it to make a base for “ice cream” using a Ninja Creami. I combined the protein powder with milk, some cottage cheese, and some unsweetened cocoa powder to amp up the chocolate flavor. Let it sit to rehydrate, seasoned with cinnamon and vanilla and salt, froze and spun. It was quite good and I will use it again. One star off for too much sweetness, even though this one wasn’t cloyingly sweet as some other products.

You need a blender because a shaker bottle will not mix it well. Lots of chunks left. Taste is ok. Ingredients are good. I haven’t decided if I like it enough to get it again.

I added additional water to thin it out a little more, but the chocolatey flavor is some of the best I’ve tasted. It mixed well, and there was no lumps after a frother was used for mixing. It did have a lot of foam but that is expected with the fava bean protein.

As one that has used a lot of protein powders over the years, and recently started with plant based ones, this one had a lot of misses. The first and biggest is the scoop that was in the bag with it. It says a scoop serving is 27g, though the scoop was larger than my 40g scoop for my post workout whey I use. When using the scoop that came with the product with 8 ounces of liquid like the directions said, it produced a very chalky almost syrup like drink, which was very gritty, and was almost impossible to finish. The saving grace is that it wasn’t loaded with artificial sweetener, so it still had those bitter chocolate notes to it.
I pulled the 30g scoop out I have and used that, and the experience was much better and it mixed up like an actual drink, though there was still a strong chalkiness to it and grit.
The bag is also annoying, though I get many companies are moving to that to save space and money, though it is more of a pain than an actual canister.

When I try a new protein powder, one of the first things that I test is how easily it blends. I tried mixing this protein powder by hand, but there were lots of undissolved clumps and it just didn’t work. I moved onto the next step and tried shaking it in a bottle. The results were only marginally better. I had to use my blender to get decent results.
When I used my blender, the protein powder blended completely into the water, and it became a smooth, chocolatey drink. The drink was nice and thick with an even texture. The taste was average. It wasn’t a bitter, dark chocolate flavor, but neither was it very sweet. I thought the taste was fine, but it wasn’t delicious enough to be crave-worthy or deserving of accolades.
Something that this protein powder has going for it though is that it really is packed with protein. With 20g of protein in a serving of 90 calories, it has more protein per calorie than plenty of other protein powders. The ingredients list is also simple, without a lot of excess additives. The fact that it doesn’t contain any added sugar is a plus as well.
The protein powder has some things going for it, but it doesn’t stand out as anything special to me. In the realm of protein powders, I’d place this one somewhere in the middle of the pack. Not bad, not amazing, but decent.

Increased consumption of plant-based protein in lieu of animal proteins has been a health goal for me. This 100% plant protein powder does not contain any fat. Each serving (27 g) contains 20 g of protein and 2 g of dietary fiber in addition to some small amount of potassium and iron.
I made two servings of fruit smoothie with one scoop (included) of this powder. The chocolate flavor is delicious. The smoothie gave me plenty of energy for the next four hours.
I took off two stars for two reasons: (1) too much of the non-caloric sweetener, stevia, is added to this blend. I wish that manufacturers could clearly mark the amount of stevia used in their products. Used in high quantities, stevia has a distinctive artificial taste. (2) The power does not dissolve well in cold water. Even after blending for a long time, the smoothie has a distinctive “powdery” taste.
